If Phoenix could take his actions back... He would have. Well... No, he still might have done what he had to Gryphon, because he did love his childhood friend and he wanted Gryph to know that, but he wished there was a way for Oriel to have never seen it happen. Because he didn't mean anything more by it, nothing like what Oriel was thinking. And he knew that. He just wished Oriel knew, too. He didn't want to lose the boy's trust, but now it was too late...
Phen gave a sad smile as Oriel feigned ignorance, deciding it was best to just roll with it. "Huh... Guess I must've imagined it..." he mumbled. Well, he might as well have, considering it had done nothing. He felt like there were a thousand other things he should be apologizing for, but the words got stuck in his throat, seeing the look on Oriel's face, and he said nothing.
All he could think of to do to make up for everything was to offer what he had. Give Oriel completely free reign, hold nothing back, no complaints. Phen was terrified what might come of it, but in his mind, his relationship with Oriel was worth it. Maybe it was a twisted way to think, but Phen loved and needed the boy so much that losing him seemed worse than anything else he could imagine. That alone was horrible to think about, and he quickly changed his track of thought to something else.
He looked at his lover as he turned around, noticing the change in appearance. It was vastly changed, and it made Phen's chest ache guiltily. "Of course you can, love," he murmured, closing his eyes as Oriel's hand traced across his skin. "Whatever you want. For as long as you want." Phoenix felt Oriel's lips press onto his, and reached up to hold the boy's head in place, trying to communicate his love and sorrow for his actions in the gesture. He wrapped his arms around Oriel and gently pulled him forward onto the bed, situating himself underneath the younger boy with a shaky breath. "I love you. More than anything. Don't ever forget that, okay?" He slipped his hand under Oriel's shirt to trace soft shapes against his stomach, wishing he knew what else to say.
