General Appearance: Kristina is on the taller side of average, standing at about 5'8 tall. She's slender, with a slightly defined waist and a small bust. Kristina has rich, dark brown hair with lighter strands naturally scattered throughout. Normally, she keeps her hair length above her bust and leaves it in its naturally wavy state, tied up in a ponytail or in a braid. She hates having it loose when she's on artistic endeavours. Kristina has brown eyes that are always focused on the world around her (except for the now rare occasions where she accidentally puts herself to sleep) and rarely does she wear makeup. It's a pain, and she'll only be bothered on special occasions. She's got a pale complexion due to her Eastern European heritage and a small beauty mole on her lower right cheek. Her full lips are usually in a neutral state, and sometimes you can catch her with a rare smile.
Kristina prefers to wear comfy, but stylish clothing. Her claim to fame is her vast collection of leggings, in different colours and prints. For shoes, she sticks to boots and moccasins. Before, when her ability was uncontrollable, Kristina would wear a pair of black leather gloves as it protected herself and others against the anesthesia. She still has them just in case of an emergency.
Personality:
Kristina is extremely serious. She doesn't really smile or laugh. One thing she can't take is a joke... she doesn't understand a thing about humour. She takes herself seriously as a person in all aspects.. except her bold leggings. They are the only exception. Because of her lack of a sense of humour, it's hard for people to get along with Kristina as any jokes either receive a glare from the Czech girl or awkward silence.
Her determined nature helps Kristina stay on track. Once focused on a subject, it's hard to pry her attention away from the matter, especially when it has to do with her art. She sets her goals and achieves them, no matter what the cost. Kristina has high expectations for herself and others, so good luck with first impressions and befriending her. The majority of the time, Kristina is alone and enjoys her solitude as an introvert. Though, there are times where she wished she had a best friend who understood her difficult personality.
With her serious, determined personality, Kristina's interest in art is moreso focused on realistic pieces. She enjoys photography and sketching life around her. She tried to delve into more abstract subjects but didn't enjoy it. At the university, Kristina plans on majoring in art history with a minor in photography. She hasn't worked out all the details yet. Art is her one pride and joy, and a subject she could talk about for days with someone.

Fears: Kristina's biggest fear is not accomplishing her goals and dreams, and becoming a nobody. She also has an irrational fear of the dark as well as her family finding out about her bisexuality.

History
Born to a middle class family in Prague, Czech Republic, Kristina is the second child of three in the family. They lived a fairly normal life, with her dad working as a tour guide in the popular city while her mother created and sold beautiful works of canvas art, mostly to wealthy tourists. The Novaks continued living this way for awhile, until the year 2003. The eldest daughter Sofie, who was 13 at the times manifested her powers. A recruiter from Hus Academy came a day after manifestation and gave the family a couple of options. After an hour of deciding, the family decided it would be best to move to the States with Alexandra's father in Massachusetts, which was fairly close to Hammel Institute. A week later, the Novaks packed and moved to the United States.
Two years later, at the age of 11, Kristina also manifested her ability. She was sitting at home, reading over grammar books and practicing her English when the young girl felt a strange numbness in her hands. She began wiggling her fingers, but nothing was working. Soon, she became extremely frustrated and slapped her hand on her leg. Where she touched her leg, the numb feeling spread. Now curious, Kristina held her palm to her bare leg, and soon knocked herself unconscious. She woke up fifteen minutes later, dazed and confused. She was scared and ran off to find her mother, painting as always. Kristina grabbed her mom's hand to get her attention, but to her fear, this contact also made her mother pass out for fifteen minutes. After waking up, Alexandra suspected that her other daughter had manifested a strange power as well and called Hammel Institute. A few hours later, a crying and confused Kristina was taken away to the school.
After the initial tests, it was discovered that Kristina had the ability of tactile anesthesia. For the first two years, she found it extremely hard and almost impossible to manage. She constantly wore a pair of black leather gloves to avoid direct skin to skin contact. It was hard, but she managed to succeed and gain good control of her ability. A year ago, in June of 2013, Kristina graduated from Hammel Institute a year late due to control of her power and failing a couple of English classes a few years back. She got accepted into the University of Vermont's art faculty. Upon graduation, she plans on moving back to the Czech Republic or staying in the States.
