General Appearance: For a female, Ari is relatively tall, standing at 5'9. She has a very sharp face, with pointed features and isn't afraid to be bold, especially when it comes to lipstick. Her hair is long and falls to the middle of her back and she's not sure she could ever cut it, mostly because it's always been that long and her mother always raved about how beautiful her hair was. 
She's very specific about how she dresses and is never one to just 'throw on whatever she saw first.' She usually changes several times each morning. Unlike her twin though, her style isn't very laid back. If anything, she likes to dress up. Oh, and she loves tall boots with buckles.
Personality: Usually twins aren't carbon copies of each other in their personalities and this couldn't be more true for Ari and her twin brother Zeb. While Zeb is extremely laid back for the most part, Ari is more of a 'no-nonsense' kind of girl. She takes her job seriously and doesn't let students get away with anything. In order to do that, you'd really have to charm her and that can be difficult when she can most likely hear what the students are saying about her from long distances. However, that doesn't mean that she likes to follow the rules. That may be kind of hypocritical, but Ari's always been one to have her own agenda. She's also really big on adrenaline rushes and enjoys activities like rock climbing and ziplining even if Zeb won't go with her. 
When it comes to giving advice and helping others, she's usually very blunt and her advice is only a few words. She doesn't have that charm her brother does that is helpful in being a dorm monitor and relies on her authoritativeness to get her by.
Lastly, she's very hardworking and determined and stubborn in a way that her family knows all too well because if her mind is set on something she's not likely to listen to you if you try to talk her out of it.
It's not that she isn't nice, it's in the Hayes family to always be kind and genuine and she values those two traits very highly.

History

Ariela was the second born of the Hayes children and the last. Born fifteen minutes after her twin brother, Zebadiah, she liked to pretend she was the older one growing up, although Zeb obviously took on that role when he started looking out for her to the point that sometimes it was overbearing as they got older. Unlike Zeb, she was not excited about getting meta-powers when they found out at a doctor's visit, nor was she okay with leaving her hometown in LA to go to Vermont to wait for this to happen. It was hard watching Zeb be so excited and then struggle so much when he got a power that clearly wasn't what he expected or wanted. Because of this, she hated complaining about her own power and kept her mouth shut, except for a few slip-ups around him. After all, dealing with her power was easier when she could just put in earplugs.

Although he could be quite overbearing when guys wanted to take her out or just in general in their time at Hammel, Ari appreciated that he was looking out for her and because of that, she dealt with it. Not only that, but she was there for him all through their time there, even if it meant a lot of listening and not knowing what to say. 

After graduating from Hammel, she went onto college beside her brother, studying nutrition and exercise science while she was there. At first, she dreaded going back to Hammel and didn't quite understand her brother's attachment to that place as it didn't hold the best memories for him but she also knew that helping people was what he loved to do and so eventually she followed him back there, ending up being a dorm monitor because there weren't any fitting job openings for what she went to school for.
