True, Sammy did have her share of food. Wasn't going to stop Beau from offering though; he'd also offer to eat anything she didn't, though he somehow doubted that was a possibility. He did very briefly wonder if her ability increased her appetite. He'd heard about that before, even accidentally picked up one or two. It definitely wasn't something that he was going to be asking about, not when there were so many other more appealing topics laying open.
Speaking of appealing: it took all Beau had not to stare at the moan. Noises like that just did things to guys, especially teenage guys, especially teenage guys like Beau who happened to like girls perhaps a little more than they rightly should. For a few seconds there, he forgot about the whole chewing thing, let alone that he had a little chocolate dribbling down his chin. He remembered as soon as Sammy reached out, shifting his chin to let her get to it a little easier.
"I ain't even started on the barbecue yet," he drawled, keeping his voice level. "'sides, everyone keeps tellin' me how charmin' I am," he added a wink that pretty well said "and I know it" without his having to actually say the word. He went to work readying his own burger, though he paused to answer the question before actually taking a bite.
"Been around for about three years now, give or take. Sometimes it feels like I've been here forever, an' sometimes it feels like I've only been 'round for a few weeks," Beau shrugged. Again: not something he wanted to think too much about. "You probably ain't seen me 'cuz I'm usually playin' somewhere," he paused for a moment, then added, "an' you'd have to beat back my fans too; they can get pretty vicious sometimes," and he took a big bite of his barbecue burger. As predicted, barbecue sauce leaked around. This time, however, Beau was quick with a napkin, attacking it with the skill of someone who loved their barbecue but had a mother who liked her children's faces to be clean.
