Hey i'm looking to become a better writer, which is one of the reason I actually roleplay, so I was thinking i'll post some stuff on here. It would love some constructive criticism on my stuff. So if you can message me on your opinions on any of the stories I will end up posting that will be great.
So enjoy my first one on how Madison parents came to be married! Bare in mind it's a rough draft and awfully corny in count of me being a hopeless romantic.
Hey want to get married? A short story based off of Marry You by
Bruno Mars.
Here we were again at our favorite spot like always. It was a normal evening for us nothing out of the usually. My car broke down so we took her truck there to just hang out. So here we are Daisy lying on my chest in the back of her old beat up car looking up at the stars. I was stroking her hair while we both down the bottle of whisky I stolen from my dad cabinet and was getting high. She turns over with those dreamy angel eyes and just looks at me. I do the same finding it hard to believe that this beautiful girl in front of me was all minds. I just caress her face, no words needs to be spoken because the way she looks at me and I look at her was enough words. This moment was so simple yet it was still something in the air besides the smoke. Our hearts just one steady heartbeat as we fell into that comfortable silence for a while. I look at her in that moment and I don’t know if it was look in her eyes or the liquor talking but I just blurt out “I think I want to marry you”.
She looks at me in shock but then she just chuckles, sits up, and takes my drink away and sits it on the other side of her.
“Ok someone has had way too much to drink”. She runs her fingers threw that blonde mane of hers and looks at me weird. “Maybe I should take you back because when you're being spontaneous and leaving me confused their something wrong. It must be the liquor or the Mary J talking”.
I sit up to and lift her chin towards me and look at her intensely. “Daisy I think… wait no... I know now I want to marry you. At this moment, I look at you and I know I can never love anyone more than I love you. I didn't think I believed in soul mates in till I just looked at you. The way you make me feel…well I want to feel this way waking up to you every morning when I realize that were together and no one else can have you. I know for a fact it’s not the liquor and when I wake up tomorrow everything I’m feeling is still going to be there. Since the moment, I met you you change my life and perspective for the better. If it wasn't for you I’ll be working some nine to ten job right now just because that’s what every expects of me. You taught me how to be bold and go after what my hearts really want no matter what and that’s you. I don’t want to wait either I want to marry you right now. Let’s go find a chapel and get married right now because I can’t wait any longer. You’re the one who says most weddings are overpriced and overrated. So let’s just do it. I don't care if it’s just us because we only need us to celebrate our love. It’s going to me and you against in the end anyway."
She looks at me speechless studying me in till her faces soften. “I… I don't know what to say."
“How about you say yes to me instead of no because I know you feel this way too. I can tell every time you look at me. So before you say anything we have to make this official”. I hop out the the truck motioning for her to come with me, and open the car doors looking threw my jacket.
"What are you doing George?" She right behind me.
I keep rummage thru my pocket for the ring pop I bought a couple days ago and when I finally found it I kneel down in front of her. “I’m sorry I can't get you a real ring because after I tell my mom I’m dropping out and marrying you I’ll probably get cut off” I joke before getting serious again. “Daisy Carol will you do me the honor of being my wife and having blonde little blonde flower children with me”?
She smiles a smile that warms my heart. “I don't need a real ring to show how much you love me and of course I'll marry you”. I place the cherry RingPop, which so happened to be her favorite flavor, on her finger. She pulls me to my feet and we kiss our hands roams free as we did so. She grabs my hand and pulls me inside of the truck not once breaking in till she spoke. “Are we going to sit here and makeout or are we going to get married”?
I woke up first noticing our bodies where entangled in each other and my hand with the freshly tattoo ring held her hand so tight I thought I was going to break her wrist. I let go which caused her stir a bit waking up and looking around maybe forgetting we rented the hotel room for the night when things got a little ‘intimate’ after the ‘wedding’. Which I’m not going to lie makes me a little nervous that she looks confuse. How gone was she last night? Would she want to end it as fast as it got started thinking it was a dumb drunken mistake? She looks at me thru sleepy eyes a small smile forms on her face. “Morning sweetheart."
“Morning Daze. Um so you remember everything that happened right?” I ask her my anxious getting the better of me.
“Yeah…tell me how could I forget”?
“So where do we go now”?
She looks at me and gave me a deep kiss and then she lays back down. “If you mean how I feel you have nothing to worry about baby. So now we spend the rest of our lives together but first I'm going back to sleep” she says grabbing my hand. “Make sure you get your rest we have a long day ahead of us if we're telling your mom”. She told me she loves me now and forever and I of course respond with the same. She closes her eyes and I hear her mumble under her breath. “Miss Daisy Travis, huh I like that." As she falls back to sleep I look at her knowing this had been the right decision. Now the only problem now was convincing my parents that.
