Target practice (open)

Another Friday night, another night alone without anything to do. Len almost wished she was stuck working at the coffee shop for another night but here she was all dressed up with no one to see throwing darts at a board with terrible aim. 

She sipped her rum and coke slowly before lobbing a black dart at the target, managing to hit the inner circle. "Getting better" She smirked to herself happy that she'd at least managed to come closer. 

The alcohol of course wasn't helping. She wasn't drunk, but she wasn't sober either which made a terrible combination when combined with a potentially dangerous game. "no one come near me! I'm Katniss!" She declared with a hearty laugh before throwing another one. No one was paying attention to her anyway, so she didn't mind if they thought she had a couple loose screws. 

As the bolt left her hand she could feel the throw going wrong and tried to stop it but it was too late. The weapon soared through the air and managed to clip another patrons Jacket. "Shit!" She squealed running over to them. "oh my god are you ok!?" What. An. Idiot

There weren't any real statistics on how many college students went to bars. Add supposed that the answer was, in general terms "more than half." She knew that there was enough suggestion that "going to a bar" had become something that most older college students did regularly. Since Add was encouraged to engage in "regular socializing" this struck her as being a good idea. Plus, she didn't think there would be much math in a bar, at least in a general sense.

Then the dart had flung at her. Add had actually stared at it for a moment, the math flowing about in her mind for a moment when she realized that it was, in fact, going to hit her and it wasn't, in fact, going to do more than damage her jacket. Sure enough, she had a dark sticking out of one sleeve, which she raised an arm to look at now, frowning.

"I'm fine," said Add, lowering her arm and looking at the girl who'd addressed her. She blinked. "Katniss, correct? Perhaps you should consider adjusting your aim better next time. the board is over there," Add pointed in the board's direction, because clearly this confused person needed to know.

Well if hitting someone with pointy metal wasn't a sobering event she didn't know what was. She approached the girl she'd managed to spear with caution, half ready for her to go off on her. She was surprised when she instead said she was fine and joked... well she thought it was a joke with her. Len scratched her head uncomfortably. 

"Yeah... Katniss." She confirmed before plucking the dart from her jacket happy that she didn't actually hurt her. 

By now Len's face was bright red and she'd gotten the attention from half the bar she'd been aiming for, but for all the wrong reasons. "Yeah... I'll take that into consideration next time... but it might be time for me to retire from darts." She said as she examined the small weapon noting it's missing feather. Hah! It wasn't all her fault. 

Len glanced up at the girl as a blonde curl fell into her face. "Let me buy you a drink to make up for it?" It'd make her feel better and hey if she had a sense of humor about this maybe she'd be a fun chick to hang around.
