Mid-night swim.(open)

It was just one of those nights where Alex couldn't sleep. No matter what she did she kept tossing and turning sleep seeming like a foreign concept to her brain. Finally she just gave up and got up out of her bed. Maybe a jog will tire me out, she thought to herself. She put on her shoes and her jacket and snuck out the building. The campus was extremely quiet seeing how everyone besides the people who work night shifts where in their rooms. She didn't really care too much for silence because it allowed her thoughts to go rogue. She was glad she forgot her MP3 in her jacket pocket. She started her workout playlist and began to run.



Alex stopped running and hunched over trying to catch her breath. She had really pushed herself to the limited before she stopped. Her body was sweating and she was panting very hard. She was so unbelievably. That's when she looked up and saw she was right by the pond. Eh why not? Without another thought Alex took off her shoes and found herself jumping in. "Ahhhh that feels so good" she said to herself. She went deep into the pond in till it was up to her neck and closed her eyes relaxed in till she heard a sound. Not sure if it was a student or staff member she became silent.

Oftentimes, Darian would grow uncomfortable in his bed. It was dry, it was stuffy indoors, and aside from the occasional company it was a genuinely unpleasant place to sleep. It'd leave him tossing and turning in his slumber, irresistibly itching his skin...

So it was a regular practice of his to sneak off at night, stuff his clothing in a bush and dive into the water of the pond. It was a lot closer than the lake, and the water was always pretty nice, regardless of the weather above the surface. He'd already done his swimming, which wasn't much swimming at all, given how tired he was, so instead he let himself rest at the bottom of the water, hugging his tail, oxygen-bubbles quietly trailing to the surface like snoring.

But when something stirred the water, and somebody had jumped inside, his eyes shot open, and his immediate instinct was to charge it and bite. But he was better than those instincts. Pushing up off the floor, he swam up behind the person, tail swaying, arms treating water. It was a girl, a pretty girl. Older girl. Oh, he could have some fun here, the kind of fun he could never resist.

Slowly, he rose out of the water, simply peeking his head up from the surface with his pale eyes focused on her, pointed teeth bared, fins flared out on either side of his head. He opened his mouth and drew his lips back, beginning to hiss quite loudly.
