Dakota walked off Hammel property as soon as he did a cigarette was in his mouth, blowing smoke into the wind as he walked down to the lake. No, he wasn’t dressed to go on a swim, in fact he was wearing a pair of skinny jeans, black ripped up a bit t-shirt, and had a bit of make up on. He was only taking a walk, to the woods, just to ponder his thoughts. He went to the woods near the lake at least once a week. It calmed him in more ways than one, and he was able to shift in the woods without having to worry about anyone seeing him naked once he shifted back to human form. Not that he cared if someone saw him naked, it wasn’t something that irked him, he had confidence, and a lot of it. However, the other party would always freak out, and it created a whole lot of drama he didn’t want or need. At least it was better than them coming off strong, trying to get him to have sex with them. Really both of those things were strong turn off to him. He was much too chill, and relaxed for either of those situations. So he opted to just shift somewhere very private, like his room, or in the woods.
Getting to the woods was easy, after a nice walk, he was already there. Sitting down under tree, he looked up at the sun. He had just graduated, and had just moved out all of his stuff into his Parent’s garage. Today was probably the last day he would ever be on Hammel property. He couldn’t ever see why he would step back into Hammel. For right now, there was no reason why he would. He was going to the university in Vermont; yeah he was staying in town. Because this was his home, he grew up here, his parents never left after going to Hammel. There was no other place he would rather be than this town. He had a few concerns about moving out of Hammel and going to college. He didn’t want to move in with his parent’s, he didn’t want those rules again, it was why he moved into Hammel dorms, at least there he was a little freer. Not to mention he would have to chose between his mom, and dad, that was also something he didn’t want to get into. He was also really tired of living in a dorm, he would like to live on his own, maybe own a cat or dog.
Sighing, he chose to put all of his worries aside. Being in the open air of the outdoors made him want to go for a run. He stood up, took a deep breath, and then started to shift. He grunted as he felt his bones shift, and shrink to form a Darwin’s fox. He shrugged out of his clothes, looking around he had to make sure he remembered where his clothes were. If he didn’t, he would have to wonder through town either naked, or as a fox. And neither of them were ideal choices. Once he got his markings, he ran off into the woods, feeling the air flow through his fur, he shook his body in excitement. He loved the feeling of being an animal, though it took some getting used to at first, but now he was quite familiar with the feeling. Soon his adventure was stopped in it’s track. His leg hit something cold and hard, soon he heard the horror of metal clanging together with incredible force. The fox’s eyes widened as he felt the pain sear through his whole body, he couldn’t help but yowl in pain. He knew for sure the animal trap broke his leg. He turned around to look at his left back leg, a whimper broke through his throat, how was he going to get out of this? Was he going to die here? The thought made him want to cry.
