Run Away (Nathan)

Liv was so sick of the snow. She was sick of being inside. She was sick of the people at her school. She was quite frankly sick of everything about Hemmel and Pilot Ridge and just wanted to get out! But that wasn't an option and she knew it. The best she could do is engage in something, anything, that would take her away even if it was for just a little while.
She hadn't been running in a while. Over the fall she'd managed a sprained ankle and then before the holidays an ice skate to the leg landed her on crutches again... she was sure she'd be slow and the painfully cold temperature wouldn't help things. It'd been so cold out as of late that the air felt like it was suffocating you, making your lungs contract in weird ways to compensate. If she was smart she'd stay inside for her workout, but danger wasn't exactly off of Liv's radar.
So she laced up her nikes's, layered up, and was out the door with her headphones in blaring classical music.
Her feet pounded on the well salted path heading towards the lake. It was just far away from the school that it wasn't in site but not far enough away to jog back to in a hurry if she got too cold.
Faster she coached herself as she pushed her feet to move faster and faster, her muscles were already starting to burn but she couldn't stop, she wouldn't stop, because for a moment it felt like she could actually run away from all this shit.
