What if? What if Peter never became James and Lily's secret keeper? What if Voldemort was never defeated?

Lord Voldemort has yet to kill young Harry. The Order continues their work in the hopes of putting a stop to Voldemort. With each passing month, more of their Order fall or are tortured. Remus is slowly gaining more and more werewolves' trust. Peter is too ashamed to face his friends. Sirius can't remember how many times he's been in and out of St. Mungo's; he is, after all, Voldemort's new target. If Voldemort gets his hands on Sirius and manages to break him, James, Lily, and Harry won't stand a chance. James and Lily are growing anxious. When they step onto a busy street, they can't help but look over their shoulders.
While in the middle of a war, they begin to realize that all the little things really do matter. Love, friendship, happiness, safety...
We start our story, January 1, 1982. It's the middle of a school year, and just the beginning of an all out war.
