The BasicsName: India Abres Hale
Nicknames: --
Age: 31 years
Orientation: Heterosexual
Desired Rank/Job: Trainer
Powers:
India’s power can show you your heart’s desire. She only needs prolonged physical contact, perhaps on the hands or the shoulder, to make images of that perfect family, your perfect career, or your perfect relationship to crop up in your mind. They will linger for as long as contact is withheld but cannot go on for more than five minutes. The images are very clear but not tangible, and will seem like daydreams to viewers.
She cannot use her power on herself.
Side effects are minimal, though she may experience headaches, fatigue or dizziness directly afterwards.

General Appearance:
India is of Puerto Rican and Afro-Cuban descent. She has bright brown eyes and her skin, she’s been told, is a nice mocha color. She tends to keep her hair short, as she straightens it every day, and has long since given up the hassle of keeping it long.
India is from a wealthy background, so she owns a vast array of luxurious clothing, jewelry, and makeup. She prefers gold, and will often wear them through her ears and around her neck – she likes the way it looks on her skin. Usually she will wear something long and gliding, something that droops elegantly off her shoulders and trails behind her.
She stands at average height and possesses a shapely hourglass form.
Personality:
India learned to carry herself with grace and poise from a young age. Very rarely does she raise her voice. She is always calm, it seems, which is suitable for her position as trainer, though she does seem to carry a certain detachment with it as well.
To her credit, India is a highly equitable person, who remains objective at all times. This has sprung from her an acute sense of fairness. She is compelled to speak up if she sees anyone being treated unfairly, though on the flip side, her “fair’s fair” attitude can make her seem quite rigid and unattached. She tends not to listen to arguments once she’s made up her mind. It’s either love or hate when it comes to India, and this includes peers as well as students.
However, one area she lacks all objectivity is in art; like all artists (whether they admit it or not), she has ideas of what “is” and “isn’t” art, and these sensibilities are easily outraged.
It can be hard to connect with her on an individual basis; she may seem distant, preoccupied, or dreamy, with insights that seems to come out of nowhere, however on point they might be. But you can always expect some level of charm and welcoming from India. She knows how to carry a conversation, and she is never one to be impolite, as she believes that all individuals deserve some semblance of respect. A lover of beauty and peace, India will never start fights nor even fan the flames, making her an ideal mediator, though only if asked. India prefers not to involve herself (though, as a trainer, she will overcome this tendency to intervene between students).
As a friend, India is loyal. She is not one to make many of these, being selective, and somewhat private.Your VicesLikes:

India owes a lot to her mother, Maria Hale, who moved to the United States before she was born. With little money to her name and no real relatives, Maria (then Maria Abres) endured poverty, immigration laws and her pregnancy to open her own restaurant in the city of San Francisco. There, she was able to make a decent living, paying off her debts and then some. Still, it was a struggle. When India was born, she, too, took up some of her mother’s hardship as soon as she was able.
India would never meet her biological father – and she would not hear much of him, either, as Maria seemed unwilling to speak of it – but soon a new man would enter her life. He was gentle to her mother, and kind, and he was quite wealthy, too, with his own business and a condo at the Marina Del Ray. When they married, Maria was finally able to quit her restaurant and pursue her own artistic inclinations that she’d harbored as a girl. She makes jewelry inspired by her homeland to this day.
They both lived a good life. India was young enough to forget her old one quite easily; the rigor of working soon faded into childhood memory, and became replaced with her new one, surrounded by luxury and nice cars and elegant living. It became her identity. She lived like this up unto the moment she was discovered and taken in by the Hammel Institute, at the age of thirteen; she had had a boyfriend then (a childhood one, of course), and he would make the strangest expressions of alarm whenever they held hands or held each other. After a while, he stopped altogether. Lacking any skill in articulation - being only fourteen - he simply told her that he couldn't stand it, he kept seeing things when they touched, it was strange and maybe dangerous, and that was the end of that.
By then she had become a bit of a spoiled girl. Not too intolerable, of course, but she often scorned the place and constantly pestered her parents to bring her home; this didn’t seem like too much to ask, since money had always solved her problems before, and couldn’t Hammel be paid off like all the rest? Needless to say, none of that worked. India was forced to stay and complete her education. The place did good for her the few years that she was there, curbing her appetite for luxury, and learning to rely on herself, rather than her parents and, consequently, their wealth.
It was there, too, that she found an artistic side as her mother had. India developed a talent and an eagerness to paint photo-realism, and once she had completed her high school diploma she thought to move on to art college. India moved back to California to pursue it.
Though she graduated and won some recognition for her work, art is a tough field to move into. Unwilling to sit idly while she waited for her art to be realized, India decided to come back to Hammel to teach while she worked on her passion in between. She has been at the institute for three years now, and she admits that she has grown fonder of training than she thought she would.Roleplay Example**India swoops from above and kicks u in hte face***What About You?Name: Day
