So... Happy Birthday and Stuff (Gryphon)

Gryphon kissed the top of Kodi's head, "I know you will." He took up the boy's hand and rubbed a few imaginary circles on it, to try to stop him from possibly crying again. He thought for a moment... this was his Kodi. From what he knew, no-one else had really seen him like this. What most people saw was the feral dentokinetic who didn't care about anyone else. But that wasn't Kodiak. That wasn't him at all.

He chuckled lightly, "Oh really?" he murmured, still smiling a little. The idea was... Gryph had tossed it up a few times in his mind. But... he still wasn't perfectly ready. There was just... something. It wasn't Kodi, it wasn't his own self-confidence, it wasn't anything like that. It was just... when he thought about it, in his head... there was always something that stopped him from being 100% certain. And he wanted to be just so when he made that decision. What pissed him off was the fact that he had no idea what that something was, so he was clueless as to how to change it. Which sucked. Big time.

He gave himself a second to think. The situation was a little different now, after all. Hah, a little different? Kodi was his boyfriend now... but it wasn't to do with trust. Then what was it?! AGH! He tried to hide his self-frustration and took up Kodi's wandering hand with his, a sign that... he couldn't. As much as it confused him and pissed him off.

...nope. Nothing. He didn't... ah, phew. Good. But... go somewhere? He hadn't exactly been planning anything special himself, so... it didn't seem like a bad idea. "...sure. I don't see why not." He said, with a small smile still on his face (did he ever stop smiling, my god...). "Got somethin' in mind?" Kodi'd brought it up, and he looked like he had an idea - was Gryph not supposed to be inquistive about it?

The only person that had come close to seeing Kodi like this was Oriel, and that had been... Well, only one time, really, after certain events that made Kodi raw and exposed and feeling lonely. Before Gryphon, he'd been jealous of Phoenix, that he had Oriel - Kodi had wanted to have the ink manipulator for himself. But now, he was happy. He could let that desire and jealousy go.

"Mmm..." Kodi hummed, waiting for Gryph's response to his touches. When he seemed to decide against it and took his hand away, he couldn't help but have his face fall a little. What was the reason, he had to wonder? Did he not like him as much as he said he did? Or trust him? Or... Kodi didn't know. But as he promised himself, he didn't push it. He just squeezed Gryph's hand before taking it away with an embarrassed flush in his cheeks. "... Sorry..." he felt like he should say, and did so with downcast eyes. At least he hadn't let himself get to carried away that he needed to go... Calm himself down. "I just... Really like you... A lot." Kodi offered a weak smile, risking a glance up. "And... You're my moron now." .... Heee.

Ah, shit, now he had to think of somewhere to go on the spot! Kodi hadn't actually planned anything, so he was left with a blank, creating an awkward pause after Gryph asked if he had something in mind. "... Uh," he gulped. His answer was always the book store (and he had a part-time job there now, yay!), but that would be boring for Gryph's birthday. "Mmm... Maybe that overlook over Pilot Ridge?" he suggested. It was a sort of date-y place, and it would look pretty if they stayed there for the sunset. They would have to take the bus to get there, but that wasn't a big deal.

Gryph thought about his past relationships for a moment... but then he thought of Nick, and then it all spiralled down. He hated to even consider it, but... maybe that was why he was so tentative about this all. He had been starting to think he would... y'know... with Nick, before he found out the truth... maybe he was just scared that if he showed to much interest, Kodi would turn away as well. Or worse, crush his self worth like the cyrokinetic did - as much as the winged boy liked looking after others and being there for them and doing whatever he could to make sure that people were happy, Gryphon did not like being played with, or used. He was a human being, not a toy or an tool.

And so was Kodi. Kodi was human... he was gonna have to know at some point, wasn't he? As much as Gryph didn't want to even think about Nick... it was gonna happen at some point. Not now, but at some point.

He watched Kodi take his hand away and looked at him as he apologized, "Its..." he didn't need to apologize, "...its..." it wasn't his fault, it was Gryph's! "...its fine. I'm sorry, too." He needed to say sorry, he did! It wasn't fair on Kodi! Rrrghh...

"I just... Really like you... A lot."

Gryphon looked at Kodi again. And laughed gently at the moron comment, looking down, but then into Kodi's eye. He had to give a better explanation, "I like you too. A lot. I'm just... I've got... stuff. To deal with. Its messin' with me." He didn't really want to worry his boyfriend too much, so he smiled, though you could tell that it wasn't as genuine as normal, "I'm fine, honestly. Just... yeah." He needed to clear Nick out of his head, this wasn't fair!

Trying to forget all that, Gryph chuckled gently into the silence, and quirked an eyebrow, until he was given an answer, at which he nodded at, "...alright. Sounds nice." It was nature-y there, if Gryph remembered correctly. He liked nature. And he liked Kodi. So this would be good. He knew that it was a little while away, but he had change, and time. It was cool. And he needed to go outside, being inside wasn't good.

Plus he could talk to the birds. Make them do something interesting, or something. Yeah.

Kodi sensed there was something Gryphon wasn't telling him, and he wanted to ask about it. Really, really wanted to ask. But he was afraid he would end up pushing the winged boy too far and making him lose his trust, and that was the last thing they needed for this new relationship. Still, he let his head fall against Gryph's chest, giving him an affectionate nuzzle, letting Gryphon know he was there and... That he cared a hell of a lot about the boy.

"It's okay," he said softly, kissing his boyfriend's neck. "I can wait... For you. However long I need to." And Kodi would. He was sure of it. Hell, even if he had to be abstinent forever, he still had this support and trust that he'd been afraid to look for for so long. He was beyond lucky.

He nodded understandingly, even though he didn't know exactly what it was Gryph had going on. "I'm... Y'know, here if you need t'talk about it," he murmured, giving the boy's hand a squeeze. "We're gonna help each other. We both got... Shit t'deal with." Gryphon had helped Kodi beyond measure - the least he could do was offer his own support.

"Mmm... Okay, c'mon then, birthday boy," he yawned, going to stand and offering his hands down to pull Gryph up. "Unless there's somethin' else you wanna do." Assuming there wasn't, Kodi waited for Gryph to be ready and then headed out, automatically linking their fingers together as they walked. Fuck, he didn't care who saw them anymore. He wanted everyone to know that Gryph was his. "Sooo... You gonna show off an' fly for me when we get there?" he asked with a grin. That was a sight he'd love to see.

It was assuring, to hear that he would be able to wait. Gryph trusted that Kodi wouldn't push him to do anything he didn't want to, but... he knew it might still be a while. He just... didn't know. Could be a week, a month, a year... but he expected it wouldn't take that long for his head to be screwed on correctly. He wanted to be more comfortable, he seriously wanted too, but that didn't change the fact that something (whatever the fuck it was - Nick or something else) was holding him back, and as much as Kodi couldn't push him, Gryphon couldn't push himself either. Frustrating was not a good enough word to describe it. He smiled down at the dentokinetic, but even he could tell that it wasn't exactly a happy smile, "Thank you." I must be such a fuckin' pain.

That wasn't why he was with Kodi, though. The physical stuff, the kisses, touches... they were definitely nice, but they weren't what made him stick to the other boy. At least... he hoped not. Because as much as he did get attracted to people, and felt physical attraction... he didn't care about what people looked like. He could distinguish his tastes, what he thought looked attractive, but it was always influenced by the person themselves. If they were attractive as a person - confident, or friendly, or funny, or intriguing, Gryphon found them more good-looking. It was strange. He didn't question it.

He broke his train of thought when he felt his hand being squeezed. He looked at Kodi and sighed. Not... not yet. He knew he'd been pretty vague, but that was the point. It was his birthday, for heaven's sake! They weren't supposed to be like this. The avian boy nodded at the offer, but wavered, "Its nothin' too serious." He didn't... "If it gets worse, I..." His mind kept freezing - he wanted to be assuring and all he was probably being was worrying. It pissed him off.

Gryphon got up with Kodi's help, and gave him a short kiss, "Where else would I want t'be right now?" Other than with you. He was too damn romantic. Even if the words never actually left his mouth.

He looked down at their locked hands. He'd never really minded being open about showing his connection to the boy. Except in front of Phen. That was the only exception. And he needed to fix that soon as well.

Gryph glanced over at Kodi as he spoke, only to be met with a smile. He smiled back, "I miiight~" Depended on the weather - he had no physical limitation, as long as it wasn't too ridiculously windy, it should be fine. But on the topic of powers, Gryphon's smile grew a little more, "...I wouldn't mind tryin' out some fangs. If you'd care t'oblige..." He raised an eyebrow. He was interested... what would it feel like?

... Oh, hopefully it wouldn't be a year. Kodi could wait, but... Man, that would be difficult after being sexually active for the last however many years. Ah well... They would just have to wait and see. It would be worth it, Kodi was sure. "Nothin' t'thank for," he mumbled, toying with a wrinkle in Gryph's shirt. "Just... Bein' a decent person." Then again, that was a struggle for the dentokinetic sometimes.

Kodi did have to wonder what the hell Gryph saw in him, though. It was something he might never really figure out.

He tilted his head as Gryph began to speak, a crease forming between his brows when he seemed to struggle with what to say. "... I care about you more than anyone else, you know," he murmured, not as a way to try to prod more information out of him, but to try to set his mind at ease. "But... I understand. Some stuff is just... Hard t'share." There were things he hadn't shared with Gryphon yet, that he didn't know how to explain. They would get there.

"Mmm," he hummed, a smile twisting his lips up as their mouths met. "Okay then, Featherbutt. Whatever you want." He was gonna have to think of more petnames now that they were... Well. Kodi just gazed at Gryph for a moment, his narrow, lined eyes studying Gryph's kind, softer ones. "... I don't think I'm ever gonna get tired of lookin' at you," he mumbled, cheeks turning pink. God, he really was turning into a girl, wasn't he?

Kodi chuckled as they headed down the stairs and outside. "Fair 'nough," he replied. "I bet you're the most fuckin' majestic eagle I'll ever see." The weather was pleasant, although still a bit cool, with a couple hours of daylight left in the sky. "What? You want some fangs?" he replied incredulously, surprised. Kodi grinned a moment later. "It hurts a bit," he warned. "But I bet it'd be fuckin' hot." He headed in the direction of the bus station, swinging their joined arms lightly. "Mm... Think I might dye my hair tomorrow," he mentioned off-handedly. "What'd'you think? Black sound alright?"

Gryphon (obviously) didn't have to really struggle with the difficulty of being abstinent. Kinda. But it would be worth it - he knew that as well. Because when the time did come around, he would be certain, and Gryph believed that that was one of the most important things in the world. "Some people forget t'be decent." It was true - there were people milling around on the planet, donating to charity, trying to do their best, but people so easily lost their sense of moral and respect. It was worth thanking.

He panicked slightly, when his words stopped. So he concentrated on his breathing; in... out... in... out... Kodi's words sent a wave of warmth through his body. He didn't honestly know if it was the same vice versa, if he cared about Kodi more than anyone else... he was pretty level with the most important people in his life. And that felt about right.

His understanding was comforting. Made it easier. There was no rush. Like with the other stuff, he could do it when he was ready.

When Gryph heard the word 'okay' as he was getting up, he couldn't resist... he honestly couldn't. He wasn't sure if Kodi would catch on, but... it was worth a shot. "Okay." He looked into the other boy's eyes and smiled a little, testing him.

He noticed Kodi's staring, and stared back. Not creepily or anything, he just... did the same. Looked into those brown eyes and smiled at the little comment he made, "I'd hope not." He joked. But he was boring to look at, Gryphon, that is. Surely he would begin to look a little... eww after a while?

...yup, this weather was fine for flying in. Of course, that was down there, it could be different at the overlook. They'd have to wait and see. "I'll let you be the judge've that when I'm actually up in the air." Where he loved to be.

"...yeah." Come on, fangs were cool! And he'd be fine, "If I can deal with gettin' tattoos and breakin' bones, growin' teeth should be fiiiine." He stated, subconsciously rubbing his hand against the cast it was in. It was only about a month, couple of weeks, and then he could take that blasted thing off. Praise the heavens.

The subject of the conversation turned to hair and Gryphon glanced up before nodding - hadn't they talked about this before? Maybe, he'd been half asleep at the time. He definitely remembered something about a tiger and eyebrows, though. Anyway, "Black sounds good." He replied. It was Kodi's hair anyway, he could do what he wanted with it. Gryph thought about his own hair, but it wasn't showing too badly at the roots (at least, not from what he could remember), and he was fine with the colour. It was all good.

Kodi shot Gryph a slightly bewildered look at the 'okay', his mind catching onto the edge of something... But no, must've been a coincidence. Then again, Gryph was sort of looking like he was expecting some- nahh. "Okay," he laughed, sticking his tongue out briefly before letting his thoughts wander.

He almost regretted saying anything, and felt incredibly embarrassed. Kodi didn't know when he'd become this mushy ball of... Mush, but he just couldn't help himself when Gryph was concerned. To distract himself, Kodi prodded a little at his boyfriend's stomach, imagining the muscles that lay under the thin layer of fabric. Mmmm....

"Well, I think you look hot doin' anythin', so watchin' you fly will prob'ly be damn orgas-" Kodi stopped what he was going to say, aware that it might make Gryph uncomfortable. He struggled for a moment before saying instead,"A...mazing." Awkward. Kodi cleared his throat and was glad when the conversation changed to his own ability. "Yeah, I'm sure you'll be able t'handle it, you daredevil," he snickered, bumping arms with the taller boy. "Just wanted t'give you fair warnin'." And Kodi wasn't exactly looking forward to putting Gryph through pain, but if that's what he wanted...

Kodi toyed with a stray strand of blonde hair, pondering. The blue color had washed out a while ago, so it was just one color again. "Just want t'make sure I don't do anythin' that'll make you cringe," he replied with a grin. He fell quiet for a bit until they reached the bus stop, whereupon he sat on one of the benches to wait, tugging Gryph down with him and leaning onto his shoulder, his arms wrapped around one of Gryph's own. "Mmm... I hope it doesn't rain," he mumbled, looking at the sky and belatedly realizing some clouds were accumulating in the area. Oh well... Rain wouldn't hurt anyone. When the bus arrived, Kodi hopped up and pulled out some change for the fare, before going inside and finding a seat in the back for them to huddle up close.

Gryph continued to look pretty expectantly at Kodi, even though he knew that if he wanted it to stay a secret, what he was doing, he was really gonna have to be more subtle. But he played along, and Gryphon laughed with him, murmuring the word "Okay." one last time, as his laughter died down. That was cute.

And now he was poking his stomach. Alright. Gryph lifted his shirt a little, just teasing him a bit, "Yup," he said, letting the fabric fall down again, "My stomach is still there." He confirmed, smirking. He couldn't help it. And he was hot, as Kodi deigned to point out for the innumerable time. When the boy stopped himself from speaking mid-sentence, and replaced the word, he raised his eyebrows, "...its just an adjective. Like..." he stopped walking for a moment to look Kodi up and down, "You look orgasmic." He was awkward and nervous about the actual deed - he could deal with the language. Unless it was directly describing the deed. Then no.

Daredevil, that was not something that Gryphon would consider himself. He didn't exactly seeks thrills or anything after all. Except for Kodi. Did Kodi count as a thrill?

Yeah, he did.

He stopped himself from saying "Okay" just as the word reached the tip of his tongue, and replaced it with "Alright." Like he said, a little pain was nothing.

The avian boy shrugged his shoulders and then they fell into silence. He felt a little bad, but Gryph wasn't the most talkative of types, and Kodi knew that, and Gryphon knew that Kodi knew that. He couldn't help it.

Rain. Boo. But it wasn't raining yet, so it would be fine. "Me too." Rain wasn't dangerous or anything, just a pain in the ass.

Gryph followed suit onto the bus, paying his own fare before trailing after his boyfriend. There were a few people sat around, but none of them bothered the two. Wherever Kodi sat, Gryphon sat next to him and took his hand up, kissing his temple, "You're amazing."

This was easily his best birthday ever, and the day wasn't even over yet. Gryph was just pondering everything that'd happened and just... relishing in it.

... Nope, had to be a coincidence. Gryphon didn't read, Kodi knew that. He just chuckled again at the funny similarities, totally clueless.

"Oh, you fuckin' tease," Kodi growled, drinking in the little peek of skin he'd been given. "You know I'm damn crazy about those things," he mumbled. Along with being a definite butt guy, Kodi was totally into ripply abs too. But this had been established very early on in their relationship. He blinked in surprise at what Gryphon said next, pausing as the older boy did with a curious expression. Which... Quickly turned to disbelief, then overwhelming amusement as he started to laugh hearing that word come from Gryph's mouth. "Oh, Gryph.... That was weird, comin' from you," he giggled, fawning and squeezing his adorable lump of a boyfriend.

Kodi didn't know what he was, but he supposed a thrill was one way to describe it. He just hoped he was one Gryph wouldn't get tired of... Or get hurt from. It was also weird to the dentokinetic that he tended to be the more talkative one of the two - they needed to play that question game again, so he could find out more about what made Gryph tick.

He gave those slowly growing familiar fingers a squeeze, a content smile on his face as Gryph's lips pressed against his temple. "Nah, that's your title," he mumbled, once again resting against the older boy, closing his eyes. He stayed that way, still and quiet, until they reached the stop that led to the overlook, whereupon he blinked awake and yawned, smacking his lips as he looked outside. It was getting darker, but they still had some hours before nighttime, as long as the clouds didn't affect it too much. "Looks like we're here, Featherbutt," he announced, standing as the bus came to a stop.

Coincidence, my left buttcheek. But Kodi didn't need to know that. That could be Gryph's own little inside joke. With himself.

The dancer patted his stomach, smirking, "Well, you make me go damn crazy, so I think we're even." His brain groaned at his cheesiness, but he owned it. And he didn't really have a preference for a physical part of a person, like Kodi. If he had to choose something, it would probably be 'sappy', like the eyes or something. A person was their own beauty.

...he really needed to work on that cheesiness.

After that word left his mouth, it just turned into a joke for him. He fizzed into a bout of laughter - okay, he was fine with saying it, that didn't mean that he was used to it. He put his head on Kodi's shoulder for a second in minor embarrassment, "Believe me, it was weird sayin' it too."

When Gryphon said 'thrill', it wasn't like... Kodi wasn't like a firework. Lots of anticipation, and then a loud flash, bang, bright colours, and then nothing else. That wasn't him. Kodi was continually interesting and exciting, spontaneous. He kept Gryph on his toes, and the winged boy liked that very much.

Gryphon hummed quietly at Kodi's reply, neither accepting nor denying it, and ignoring the small rush that ran through him, as his thoughts clarified everything that had gone on. He automatically thought of Kodi as his boyfriend and everything, which felt strange, but it didn't feel wrong, just different. Good different.

The taller boy's eyes remained open for the most part of the journey, watching the world go by rapidly and tracking all the stupid little details that people wouldn't usually notice, as well as trying to continually fuel the buzzing he felt in his chest. He couldn't get enough of that feeling. They reached the stop and Gryph got up.

He felt like he should he nicknaming Kodi back, but he wasn't the type to do that sort of thing. He didn't have a problem with it - it was funny, Gryph just didn't have the quick-wittedness to return it. They got off the bus and Gryphon glanced over at Kodi, and then at the sky. Wasn't terrible... they might have to be wary. Oh well.

He hated not knowing what to say, though. Because that was the situation he was in in that moment, and he didn't know what to do about it.

Kodi chuckled with a hint of embarrassment at Gryph's retort, amazed that something so ridiculously cheesy could make him turn into a giggling, helpless mess. He was really gonna have to go out and do something... Masculine and intense soon. Yeah.

Still, he kept laughing as Gryph showed his own embarrassment, bringing his hand up to pat the back of the boy's head as he rested against Kodi. "I liked it," he grinned, pecking Gryphon on the top of the head. "As if you didn't turn me on enough already, now you go an' say somethin' like that?" Kodi clucked his tongue. "I think you're tryin' t'seduce me." Like the winged boy needed to even try.

He wasn't entirely asleep, since the ride wasn't all that long, so Kodi toyed with Gryph's hands absent-mindedly until they reached the overlook. A similar feeling to what Gryphon was experiencing was filling his own body at the simple, intimate moments passing by, with nothing said but plenty expressed between the two. "You're so quiet," he hummed as they stepped off the bus, swinging their arms a little as they walked across the gravel and pavement towards the grassy area that overlooked Pilot Ridge. Fortunately, there wasn't anyone else around, perhaps drawn away by the slowly darkening weather. "What're you thinkin' about?"

He stopped once they reached the edge of the hill, letting out a breath upon seeing the view. The city wasn't large by any means, but it was still a nice sight. "Now.... How about that flyin'?" Kodi asked with a grin Gryph's way. "Unless you wanted t'try the fangs first, eh?"

Gryph smiled and lifted his head, "Well, at least my seduction's more effective than yours, Mister-" He poked Kodi's chest and looked him dead in the eye, trying to mimic his accent and signature scowl, "'You-are-now-seduced.'" He wasn't exactly a good actor, but it made him laugh again. He laughed too much.

He kicked up some of the gravel as they walked, nodding at Kodi's statement, "That's true." But the question made him think. There wasn't anything in particular that was on his mind (the remnants of the conversation they'd had in his room were at the back of his mind). "Mmm... nothin', and everythin'." He sighed a little, "I think too much." Maybe if he didn't think so much, he wouldn't be so quiet. Then again, he would probably sound more stupid, so he let himself keep thinking.

Gryphon took a deep breath, letting it out slowly. He liked being high (in actual height, the experience of being high itself wasn't one he really wanted to repeat) and he liked the outdoors. He was in a happy place. The fact that Kodi was there too, and there was no-one else doubled and tripled that happiness.

He looked at the clouds again and tossed the ideas up, before coming to a conclusion, "Think I'll fly first. Just in case." Just in case it started to pour down with rain. Or get windy. Those were not conditions he would ever consider flying in, while his sanity was still intact.

The avian boy looked down at his shirt... he didn't want to be tearing it anytime soon. He looked at Kodi, made for some kind of permission, but he was pretty certain the shorter boy would be perfectly happy with him going topless. He peeled it off and bundled it up, handing it to his boyfriend as he unfolded his wings. Usually, he would've been conscious of other people seeing them and their reactions, but there wasn't anyone else around. It was cool.

The boy... wanted to be a pain. To Kodi, in a good way. He quickly scanned for the best place to run from, and then swiftly turned back to Kodi and kissed him quickly, before darting over a little distance away, spreading his wings wide and breaking into a quickly increasing jog, run, sprint - he pushed his wings down and took off into the darkening sky.

Kodi laughed too, amused with the ridiculousness of it all. "You're silly," he chuckled, pretending to swoon slightly. "I don't look an' sound like that!" Okay, he totally did and he knew it. He wondered if he looked and sounded as ridiculous with that accent, though.

"You do seem t'think a lot," he replied, but not unkindly. "I gotta smart, considerate boyfriend, all t'myself," he grinned. While he preferred to hear Gryph talk and respond to him, Kodi was getting used to Gryph's quiet nature. "I was just thinkin' about who's bed I wanna sleep in tonight," he added on. "'Cause I sure as hell ain't gonna be sleepin' alone." Maybe not anymore at all. Mmmm...

"Alright," Kodi agreed, stepping back a little as Gryph made his decision. He watched with eager eyes, ecstatic to see the winged boy actually fly. He liked them to cuddle and tickle, but seeing them for what they were actually meant for.... Even better.

Oh, yes. Especially like that. Kodi made no attempt to hide his oogling once Gryph's shirt came off, eyeing up the delicious form of his boyfriend's figure as he clutched onto the fabric he'd handed over. "I'm glad no one else is around t'see this, 'cause I'd have t'be fightin' off the masses," he teased, staring at the magnificent feathered appendages. "You're... Seriously beautiful, babe."

He returned the quick kiss before leaning back against a picnic table to watch the take-off. A small, unconscious gasp left his mouth as Gryph took off into the sky, defying gravity like it was nothing. Kodi had never had the desire to fly like a lot of people did, but... Wow. It was still stunning. His eyes never left the flying figure as he lifted higher, craning his head back to watch the amazing performance. Kodi just kept quiet - he doubted Gryph could hear him over the wind and distance anyway. But he didn't move, completely rooted to the spot.

He was seriously a lucky person. How he had managed to steal the heart of someone like Gryphon, Kodi would never know.

Oh, oh really? Gryphon raised an eyebrow at Kodi, "Sure you don't." - he knew he wasn't brilliant at that sort of thing, but he'd been around Kodi long enough to know that that was practically what he was like.

He winced slightly at the word 'smart'. Gryph did not consider himself to be a smart person. It wasn't insecurity, at least, he didn't think so, but he was not smart. He didn't say this, though. He smiled, "And I've got you, in your... unpredictable brilliance."

Gryph smiled widely, a few chuckles escaping into the air, and a warmth spreading through his chest. "What made you think you might?" Kodi was most definitely sleeping with Gryphon. He needed his cuddly moron.

He liked his wings. He likes flying - flying was liberating and amazing and something that people would be (understandably) jealous of. The fact that he could use his feathers for other things was just a great added extra. But flying really was the best.

He could feel himself blushing a bit at the compliment. But he stepped closer to Kodi for a second, "Well, I could do this," he surrounded them both in his wings, making it darker, but proving his point, "And then the masses wouldn't matter." Gryph smirked and pulled his wings back.

He was too busy concentrating on not fucking up to see Kodi's reaction at first, but once he was up and soaring, he looped around and looked at the smaller size of his boyfriend on the ground, and smirked. Hovering was tiring for his wings though, so he flew around for a bit, going up high and swooping down and he did a loop-de-loop at one point, before coming back around and landing just about where he started, a little out of breath. He folded his wings comfortably against his back - they were still half-open, that way, and they wouldn't start cramping.

Gryphon looked at Kodi and smiled. That was something he did everyday, almost everytime he saw the boy, but it was the little things that counted.
