Unpredictable brilliance? Kodi had no idea what to say to that, so he just laughed a little awkwardly and swatted lightly at Gryph's shoulder. "I think the unpredictable bit is right, not so sure about the latter," he chuckled. His unpredictableness definitely wasn't always a good thing...

He grinned at Gryph's response to his thoughts, giving him a peck right on his dimple. "Dunno," he replied, squeezing his arms around the older boy's waist. "I'm startin' t'like your room though, I think." He had some memories in his own room that weren't entirely pleasant... And, on the plus side, he could totally bother Thane in his room if he wanted to if he was at Gryph's place.

Kodi blinked at the sudden darkness, actually enjoying the quick moment of quiet and calm within the older boy's winged embrace. "Good, 'cause I want you only for me," he said firmly, though he broke into a crooked smile a moment later. Oh yes, Kodi was definitely going to be the jealous type. He couldn't help it - now that he had someone, he wasn't gonna let go.

Especially after seeing the boy fly like he was. Because... Wow. Kodi's didn't realize he'd hardly been breathing until Gryphon landed, and his lungs caught up with his brain again. "You almost make me wish I'd gotten wings instead'a dentokinesis," he said with a whistle, reaching out to stroke one of those pretty feathers. "You make it look so easy an' fun."

It was then that the first raindrop fell and landed on Kodi's nose. "Ah, fuck," he groaned, looking up at the sky; judging by the darkness of the clouds, it was going to be pouring in no time. "Quick, we should find somewhere t'ride this out," he told Gryphon, taking his hand and dragging him towards a copse of trees not too far away. There, he tucked himself up against one of the trunks and pulled Gryph down with him, holding him close for warmth. "Did you still want those fangs?" he asked quietly, and with a yawn. "We might... Be here for a bit..."

Gryph had no idea where that had come from - he wouldn't deny it, but it sounded weird. He ruffled Kodi's hair, "Nah, you are brilliant." He said, smirking. And he liked the spontaneity.

"I'm glad." He said, with a smile. Because he was planning on having Kodi in there quite a bit. As sexual as that sounded.

Gryph liked the fact that he could block the world out. It was what he needed sometimes - and it was like having a little world of his own in amongst the madness. "I wouldn't be with anyone else." He said, reflecting Kodi's smile back at him. He wouldn't even consider doing such a thing. Although, Kodi was pretty cute when he was jealous... ehe.

Fun? Yes - easy? Fuck no. Well, not at first. And it did take its toll on him sometimes, if he did something particularly wrong. But he'd had to work for ages before being able to do much of use when it came to flying. He shivered slightly at the touch on his feathers, "It's far from easy - but it is a lotta fun." It was a compliment to say what he had though - to have someone who didn't like flying say they'd want wings was pretty awesome. But dentokinesis suited Kodi. Gryph couldn't pinpoint why, it just... did.

He didn't notice the rain until Kodi swore; he glanced up and frowned, and let Kodi lead him over to the trees nearby without a word. When they were settled, he could feel a drop or two of water still, so he pulled one of his wings up and above the pair of them, like a shelter. He looked at Kodi as he spoke and nodded, "Why not?" He was intrigued to know what it was like.

Kodi chuckled, feeling his cheeks flush at the stubborn compliment. "Fine, but so are you," he replied, giggling and shaking his head after Gryph ruffled his hair. He still didn't believe it, but there was no arguing with this one, it seemed.

"Mmmm... You know Oriel and the p- Phoenix pretty much live together in Oriel's dorm?" he mentioned off-handedly. Not that he was suggesting he actually move in like that or anything - where would he keep his books? - but... Spending the night all the time sounded pretty good. Kodi slept a lot better, and had fewer nightmares, when he fell asleep with Gryph's strong arms around him. "... I really like sleepin' with you..." he said quietly. And not the normal kind of 'sleeping' he would usually mean.

Kodi just blinked and let his wavery smile widen at Gryph's words, smoothing his hand down the older boy's side. "I'm glad," he said softly. And that was that.

He continued to stroke Gryph's wing as he spoke, giving a slow now. "I'm sure it ain't easy, but you're so damn graceful you'd never know," he chuckled. Seeing Gryphon flying around like that just made Kodi's affections for him grow even more. He was beautiful, inside and out.

Not to mention, apparently the wings had extra uses. Kodi looked up as one spread out above him, effectively blocking them both from the rain. "That's so useful," he murmured, leaning in even closer so his head was nearly tucked under Gryph's jaw. "Okay... If you're sure," he said. Upon confirmation, Kodi peeked up and focused on his boyfriend's canines, urging them to spread out longer and sharpen into a tip. Hopefully, since it was just two teeth, the pain afterwards wouldn't be too bad. "Heh... You look like the hottest vampire ever," he teased, wrapping his arms around Gryphon again and closing his eyes with a kiss on the cheek. "I think Imma just... Sleep here.. With you protectin' me..." he mumbled.

Gryphon raised his eyebrows at his boyfriend - yes, he knew of Oriel and Phen's sleeping arrangements. Was he trying to say...? "...I don't think..." Don't think that they should be living in the same dorm. He did love Kodi's company, but he needed his personal space sometimes. Everyone did. He nodded in agreement, however, at what Kodi said next, "And you. I want t'keep... sleepin' with you." Having nights when he wasn't there made him feel like his bed was too empty. He didn't get nightmares, or generally have sleeping problems, but he was more comfortable with Kodi nearby.

Gryphon's breathing deepened a little, smiling calmly, "Practise makes perfect." He stated, simply. And he did a lot of practise.

He nodded silently and opened his mouth a little, looking at Kodi as he 'worked his magic'. There was a kind of aching sharpness and he felt his jaw tense a little at the pain, but once he was done, it only throbbed lightly and then dulled off. The avian boy ran his tongue over his new fangs carefully, interpretting their new shapes and smiling at how weird and wonderful it was. And the vampire thing was pretty funny. "You'd be a better vampire than me." He joked back, smirking.

Gryph took some of Kodi's weight and wrapped his arms around him as well, dimple poking into existance at the cheek kiss and wandering words, "Okay." He said, smiling softly.
