I've only been at Hammel for a couple of weeks, but already I'm meeting some very nice people. On my first day of classes, I got lost. Hammel is a lot bigger than my last school, so I guess it would be easy for me to get lost. But I was helped out by one of the upperclassmen. He walked with me to the training rooms. He was very handsome too. I wish I could remember his name, though. I'm so bad with names.
I also met a really nice girl. She seemed a little upset about something when I first approached her, but she was nice enough to put aside her troubles to help me find my next class.
Later, I discovered that while the school has very nice resources, especially in the library, they are not so up to date on their vending machine maintenance. I'm trying to save money, so I cannot afford to lose even a dollar to a malfunctioning vending machine. I have also heard from other students that this is a frequent problem all around campus, in both the student lounge and the dorm commons. Luckily, this time, I was assisted by another upperclassman, who offered to make up for my vending machine folly by taking me up to his room for some snacks. They were very delicious! I even got to meet his roommate, another upperclassman who had my heart thumping rapidly just looking at him. I was disappointed to find out that those two were already a couple. They looked good together, though, so I'm happy for them.
What were their names? I'm so bad with names.

I met a friend! Her name is Savannah Bishop and she has a family that is even bigger than mine! We could relate a lot to each other in that respect, only I'm the eldest of my siblings while she is the youngest. That's okay, because we get along really well. She always has something she wants to tell me. We study together a lot. She even invited me over to spend Christmas with her and her family! That was nice, especially since it's too expensive for me to fly home to San Jose. I didn't expect her to get me anything, but Savvy(that's her nickname) got me a giant plushie of pocky. I got her a 12 pack of ramen noodles. She seemed to like it.
Her family really is as crazy as she claimed, though. Upon arriving, I was immediately interrogated by her elder brothers. They don't have anything to worry about from me. Savvy and I are just good friends.
My roommates are very quiet, but also very nice, I think. One of them is in the self-defense club with me. We don't talk to each other much, but I'm sure he's nice since he seems really disciplined. The other boy, I don't know his name(I'm so bad with names) shared his noodles with me. I feel a little bad taking any amount from his meal, but he insisted on sharing. What a nice guy!
Speaking of nice people, I met that girl again, the one who showed me to my class. She seems really quiet, just like me. I think her name was Mina. I shared my honey bun with her and she showed me some fun things she could do with her power. I think we're going to be great friends.

It's finally the new year and school has already started! I called my mother on New Years Day. She and Dad are doing well. So are my brothers and sisters. I'm glad to hear that. I got to say hi to all of them except Yuri though. I think she might be mad at me for some reason, but I can't think of what.
I keep on meeting new people. There's this younger boy, Miles, who seems a little off, but he's really nice. He showed me his button collection after I shooed away some people who were bothering him. Then there was Greg, whom I met while I was making a fool of myself in practice. I think I might have said that I liked him out loud on accident. That was embarrassing.
I know I'm probably not going to find a boyfriend but it's still nice to think about. There seems to be all sorts of couples around here. The faculty here are a lot more open minded than those at my last school. Still, I have a feeling I will just get looked at strangely if I ever admitted to one of these boys that I think they're handsome. I think I'm okay with just being friends.
