SUE: Dewey Decimal (Raylaigh and Terrence)

Raylaigh's project is probably going to get an extension, so perhaps that book is no longer important.

He had two days to write a book report and presentation on Animal Farm. Only problem was Raylaigh hadn’t read Animal Farm. He hadn’t even checked it out from the library yet. He thought he should maybe read a chapter or two just to check the quality of the spark notes. Raylaigh went to the library in the afternoon after lunch and decided he should probably at least attempt to do this report. The flyer was dismayed at the thought of going to the library and potentially being stuck indoors all day. It was a beautiful day and Ray walked slowly from the dorms to the library his wings fluttering catching the warm breeze and longing to soar among the clouds. A few song birds fluttered by and Ray sighed resigning himself to the fact that it was his own fault, if he hadn’t procrastinated so much then he wouldn’t have had to miss this nice weather, but he needed to get this done, even if he had to pull an all nighter.

The cool building contrasted like a breath of fresh air after the humid outside air. The flyer was comfortable in a well fitted short sleeved plaid shirt and a pair of Khaki shorts. His small wings rested against his calves above a pair of comfortable sneakers. Raylaigh’s messenger bag hung across his chest and comfortably rested against his hip. It contained everything he needed for a serious study session. Notebooks, pencils, pens, highlighters, and a bag of Doritos. Raylaigh hopped up the steps to the library and entered into the chilled room and looked around at the rows and rows of books. He liked the smell of the library and he knew he didn’t spend enough time here. He thought if he could find this Animal Farm and curl up in a chair in the sunlight he could have a good time reading.

Moving to one of the computers Raylaigh pulled up the search and typed in ‘Animal Farm, George Orwell’ as he waited for the slow system to run he plucked out one of the short pencils and a square of paper to write down the location of the book and that number thing that gave the location. It finally popped up and just as Ray went to click on the link the screen, in fact everything, went black. Ray blinked and for a moment stood frozen thinking that he’d broken it. It was only a moment later that he realize that wasn’t possible, all of the power was off. Raylaigh threw his head back and groaned. How the hell was he supposed to find this thing now? He left the computer and supposed maybe he could ask someone. He found one of the librarians at the counter. “Excuse me,” Ray said calling attention to himself, “You wouldn’t happen to know off the top of your head where I can find Animal Farm?” Ray gave a smile, because he had waited too long and he could not just leave now, even if he had to sit in the library all day, he needed to read this book!
