Maybe Gryph himself realized this, or maybe he didn't, but Kodi would have had to have done something truly abominable for Gryphon to be so angry with him or scared of him that he would want to be break contact - his main point always going back to the fact that it was in the past, and that meant it wouldn't happen now. Didn't mean it couldn't; he tried not to let other thoughts cross his mind. Just because someone has the capability to do something, doesn't mean they will go through with it. He knew Kodi was fairly volatile - hell, he'd just seen it with his own eyes! However, he wasn't some psychotic mass murderer, he was just... a guy who didn't give himself a chance to feel better. Gryphon didn't know what to do.
One thing that was for certain was that he would be mulling this over quite a bit, but that couldn't be helped. He just... yeah. It was difficult to forget. And Gryph was pretty certain that the next time Nick happily strode into his eyeline, it wouldn't be as bad, seeing as he had gotten over the shock of it all. But it wouldn't be good, either.
He could agree that not hurting someone was better than hurting someone (...duh.), but this... was still hurting someone. He said nothing, just pulled at the corner of his mouth in an attempt to smile and gave up when he felt too heavy. The winged boy watched Kodi patch himself up, leaning against the couch. It was kinda quiet, and he wanted to say something, but as always, his brain gave him nothing to give. He looked down at their hands and then looked back up at his boyfriend, "I'll be fine, seriously." He looked him in the eye for a second, and then his eyes hit the floor, "You go... work. I'm gonna go back... t'Hammel." The further away he was from Nick, the better. He paused a moment, as if wanting to say something else, but only sighed and rubbed the back of his neck. He just needed to get away from everything for a moment or five.
