He was cursed.
He had to be. After all who the hell moves to a new place and less than a week later the power goes out? Sure, Demetrius could probably just chalk it up to "coincidence" that all this stuff could happen. But when he takes into account the disaster that occurred when he tried to befriend his roommate, he decided he was definitely cursed.
However, that had yet to stop the winged boy from navigating the dark hallways with the ease of rat exposed to daylight. So he did is with only a few stumbles and the occasional bumping into a wall. This was all in the attempt to reach the ever elusive library. Demetrius was aware he probably would have found it well before now if he had bothered to ask someone, but that would involve either talking to people he didn't know- or asking Greg. Which was completely out of the question. Demetrius didn't need him getting more a smug head than he already had. This didn't exactly help him in regards to the fact he has nothing to read anymore.
So he continued his quiet and meticulous exploration of Hammel until he came across the entryway to the deadly quiet and far too dark library. It wasn't really common sense to go to a library to read when there was no power, however Demetrius was getting a little desperate. He'd only brought one book and he'd already read through that at least ten times. The boy would swear to the fact he start quoting it word for word at this point. Anyway. Demetrius huffed slightly as he walked inside, very quietly letting his wings expand behind him. This way he thought he might look like some cool dark angel sent on a mission of vengeance. Though his wings actually resembled those belonging to cape vultures he was going to pretend that he could look like an angel. After walking a few feet he paused, biting his lip in hesitation as his hand clenched around the handle of his worn leather bag.
"Anyone here?" His voice lacked any real bite to it since he doubted he'd have company. Plus he still wanted to try for that whole "being nice" thing he had attemped back with Greg.
