Axelle didn't necessarily like tutoring, but she'd drawn the short straw today and sat in the library waiting for someone to show up who needed help on their homework. She wasn't alone. There were other's sitting around waiting for someone to show up and partake of the help they were offering but Axelle was a little surprised that she didn't have a line. Maybe she had overestimated how many of her fellow students were terrible at math. As Axelle waited for the chance to help someone, she worked her way through her own homework, carefully pushing the buttons on her calculator and writing the answers down on her paper. One of the things she loved about Hammel was their ability to look ahead. Someone, long ago had realized that sometimes there would be students who would need special supplies and to that end, whenever Axelle needed something, all she had to do was place an order.
She had special writing tools made of sturdy enough material that she didn't snap pens and pencils all day along with a special calculator that was heavier than normal and could withstand her frustration if she punched the buttons a little harder than necessary. Axelle looked up in the quiet of the library as she finally finished her own homework and dropped it into back pack, a stack of books already nearby incase the student she was tutoring forgot theirs or were possessive. When she finally noticed someone standing nearby she smiled at them. "Hello! Are you here for tutoring? Pull up a seat, I don't bite," she joked, trying to lighten the mood. Many people were really nervous around tutors for whatever reason and she didn't like that. Nervous people didn't tend to pay attention to the information they were being given. “I’m Axelle, nice to meet you,” she added with a small wave in order to avoid shaking the other girl’s hand.
