The ceiling wasn't interesting at all, every night it’s still the same ugly grey colour with the same boring cracks. Sighing Misty pulled herself up off her bed and walked over to the closet and dressed. She wore tight blue jeans, a white blouse and a light blue cardigan. She slipped her black ballet flats and left the dorm. The corridor was dark and silent, the sun was still at least another hour from rising. This was night four of not sleeping a wink and the bags under eyes were starting to become a lot more noticeable. Zig slipped her hands into her jeans pockets and headed towards the darkest place she could think of… The Auditorium.
Misty usually went there to think when she couldn’t sleep. Sometimes she even practiced her little light show. It wasn’t anything exciting, she wasn’t impressed with herself at all. Her steps were silent as she walked along this corridor and then that one. She yawned widely as she can to a stop in front of the Auditorium doors. They were usually unlocked and this time was no different, she pushed on the double doors and went inside the large room which was just the way she liked it…pitch black. She had pretty good night vision these days as she spent as much time in the darkness as possible now and when she was younger.
Making her way further into the room she noticed the chairs were stacked to the side of the room and the large floor was completely open. She dawdled in to the very heart of the room and sat down on the polished hardwood floor and crossed her legs. She bit the inside of her lip as she looked down at her skeletal hands and saw a thin boarder of light around each of her fingers. Ziggy’s fingernails had a constant glow to them so she had them painted black most of the time to cover up the glow. When she was in the complete darkness a slight light outlined each fingernail. It was pretty incredible, really being able to emit light from ones very skin.
She rolled up her sleeves and made one arm light up and then the other one and then one hand then other and continued it procession. She smirked as she watched each part of her body light up, she was surprised at how well she was controlling herself. She must have been in a strangely good mood as it’s only when her light played nicely. All around the Auditorium flashes of light bounced off the walls and sparkled across the sleek floor. It was truly as beautiful sight. Being there doing what she was doing caused her to have butterflies in her stomach, a side effect of her light show or just the rare feeling of happiness, she didn’t know but she liked it.
