General Appearance:
Everett thinks he is a very good looking man, he isn’t fit to the point of him being a body builder but he does do his fair share of workouts. However, he has grown a sort of a stomach, it’s not too big, but it is there. With him moving around a lot, it has been hard for him to keep up a certain weight control. Since his diet always changing. He is hoping to start on a better weight control with him planning on staying in Pilot Ridge. He is five foot ten, and weighs 160 pounds.
Having chocolate brown hair, his hair styles vary from month to month or every couple months. He likes to keep it changing, he doesn’t like it to stay the same. He will have it short once in awhile then he lets it grow out, how long he lets it grow depends on his mood of the month and whether he wants to cut it or not at the time. With his brown hair, he has a knack for keeping his goatee nice, and trimmed. This is his facial hair, and something he enjoys taking care of. He keeps a goatee because he doesn’t like his baby face, nor does he like a full beard.
Personality:
Being an Author, and a popular one at that, he has to be creative in some ways. However, Everett is creative in every way possible. He tries to think outside the box with almost everything he does. He says it challenges him, not only as a writer but as a person. In this way he can be pretty unpredictable and a lot of people could find that annoying; but he finds it inspiring.
Concerning certain people in his life, he can be strict, or at least to them he is being strict, to himself he is just trying to protect them. With his Daughter he can be over protective, and the same goes with his friends, family, and students. He tries to conceal his worries, and just tries to come off as strict. He just worries too much about the people he cares the most about. He’s made some mistakes in his past and tries to make up for them by taking care of the people still in his life.
Being a really loving person, Everett is friendly and compassionate. He cares too much about the people around him and worries about them quite often. He really just wants the best for his family, and friends, and maybe even students. He tries his best to give the people he cares about everything he thinks they deserve/wants/needs. Even though a lot of the time it’s not the right thing, and that he is oblivious to what someone might actually want or need from him or in general. But he does try, and he has a good heart when showing his love, or friendliness. He’s seriously the type of guy that would give everyone he meets a friendly none creepy hug.
In this way, he is actually pretty outgoing. This also goes in hand in hand with the fact that he likes to think outside the box with things. He goes out of his way to make people laugh and smile. He wants people to be happy, he isn’t afraid to go up to someone who looks like they are having a bad day and try to make it better. In this way he tries to be a comforter for his students, he wants them to have a pretty good life, and to strive to be happy.
Everett has a little trouble being completely honest to people, not that he lies, it’s that he just doesn’t tell the truth or the whole story. He keeps secrets because he is afraid of hurting people, or because he doesn’t want people to deal with the conflict it would cause. Granted, there ends up being more conflict when the secret comes out than there would have been if he had just told the truth in the first place. He tried to avoid lying to people, he doesn’t like lying, he also doesn’t like keeping secrets so it’s a battle that is always inside him. Everett was born and raised in France; his parents had always lived in France. He never once moved while growing up, well till he turned 11… He had a nice childhood, his parents had a great living, they had money, and they were set. However, Everett grew up not caring about money. Yeah, he always got what he wanted when he wanted it, but he rarely ever wanted anything. His parents were always worried about him because of that, and always asked if he wanted anything, and continued to ask what certain thing he wanted. He learned to just say yes to those questions, instead of saying no to everything.
When he was Eleven his powers manifested, his parents had told him about how he would most likely be a meta, because they both were, and it had ran in Cassandra's family. However, he did not realize that he would be able to read people’s minds. It was not a power he would wish on his worst enemy… So He moved to Kocher, where he went to school till he would fully graduate. He did well in school, got good grades, not perfect grades, but enough to graduate. However, his classmates were wary of him, no one really liked the boy who could read minds… And he was never really respectful of people thoughts either, but it did make things easier for him, sometimes…
When he was 17 he had realized something. Everyone of his guy friends were dating girls, but he never did. He was never interested in any of the girls at his school. One of his friends pointed that out, and tried to set him up with a girl. One of his guy friends thought it would be nice to go on a double date, so they did. Everett wasn’t interested in the girl, but realized he was way more interested in his friend, whom was a guy… It was after this date that he realized that he was gay, but he was a little worried about what other people may think about him, so he never did anything with this knowledge other than turning down girls…
He graduated from Kocher, and went to college, going to Maine for college because a group of his close friends were going to Main, and he still wanted to be apart of that group of friends. During college Everett was able to write a book, and when he graduated he was able to publish it. The book got big, and he was glad he kept the author name to be ‘unknown’.
During his college years was when he met Nora, they had just bumped into each other, more than once… Somehow they became best friends, and one day Nora and Everett found themselves on a date. Everett thought Nora was a great person, but wasn’t attracted to her like he was supposed to be. But he kept the relationship up, thinking that maybe one day he would fall in love with her, and be attracted to.
After he turned 21 Nora told him she was pregnant; this was also the year he would graduate from College. It was then that he had realized he was in over his head. He was starting to come to terms with how he wasn’t going to fall in love with the woman that was going to have his kids. And he couldn’t keep up that lie. So, he told Nora the truth, telling her that he was homosexual, and that he couldn’t keep being with her. To them finding out Nora was having twins, Everett and Nora decided they were each going to take a twin, Everett took the girl, and named her Eloise. He desperately hoped that he could do right by El, and make up for what he had done to Nora… Though, deep down he knew he was never going to be able to make amends to her.. And that scarred him deeply.
Once he got Eloise in his custody, he moved out of the country. Deciding on going back to France, to give Nora her space, and because he needed help raising Eloise, he had friends that could help him, and were very happy too.
As the years went by, his career as an author took off even more to the point where he was able to survive only on being an author. He wrote books of fiction, the first set of books her wrote were mystery novels, but through his life he has gone into doing other sub-genres of fiction, like fantasy, and horror. He did temporary jobs, just to get life experience, and to get extra money, well when Eloise was old enough to go to day care. He raised Eloise pretty alright, Still with being spoiled a bit, Everett was able to teach the girl manners, and she turned out pretty well behaved, or as well behaved as a child can get. With the money that his parents left him before they passed, he was able to keep at bay till his career got off the ground more. In the early days, he couldn't spoil Eloise as much as he wanted to, but after he got more money coming in, he spoiled her a little more than he should have. But most of the spoiling was saved for Christmas, and her birthday.
Unfortunately, when Eloise was still pretty young someone was starting to learn about who Everett was. See, Everett always used a pen name, because he didn’t want to live that kind of life style… And he didn’t want Eloise to go through it either, he felt the celebrity lifestyle (if it got to that point, which it had) was such a painful and hard lifestyle. So to throw the person/people off his ‘trail’ he moved to a different part of Europe, which was London. Things were alright for awhile, till he winds up finding out that someone was starting to find out about him again, and again they moved. This time out of the country, this time to the US, to New York, it was a big step, but one he felt he had to take. This was a repeated cycle, someone started to find out he was the maker of certain books that were under a pen name, and then they would move again, from Parts of Canada, back to Europe, to Australia, back to the US.
It wasn’t until Eloise came of manifesting age when they actually settled down. He settled back in France, he thought that no one would think to search for him in France again. This was true, for awhile… Someone found him again recently, and because of that he decided to move back to the states, this time he thought Florida would be a nice place. With him moving, yet again, Eloise was transferred to Hammel. Everett knows that by now, Eloise probably hates him for moving around so much. It was actually recently how he figured out how to fix the problem of someone finding out about him… He set of a ruse in Florida, where he had his publisher pretend to be the writer instead of the publisher. This ended the chase of the man behind the pen name, and brought Everett to a place where he could truly settle down. He also got ride of his laptop/computer, and started to use a type writer to write his stories, he figured this would help with people leaving him alone and not actually finding out about him. It was even more recently that his daughter graduated from Hammel, and because of this he is traveling to Vermont.
