The BasicsName: Elias Boden Wolfbane
Nicknames: Eli, E.B.
Age: Twelve
Orientation: Undecided
Desired Rank/Job: Student
Powers: Precognition
His ability so far presents as unprompted dreams of the future about people he was around during the day, whether he knows them or not. The dreams are usually very clear and only a few seconds long, offering only a glimpse of a scene he'll be in, or a sense of an event that'll occur. Though he's only had a few dreams containing visions, none have been inaccurate. After a vision he often feels particularly familiar with the people, as if he's already met them, even if his vision was his first encounter with them.
With no sense of pain, any migraines he might encounter are only noticeable if the symptom is something beyond pain. If he suddenly feels sad or particularly invincible for no discernible reason, or if he can't shake being tired, there's a chance a migraine has settled in. Confusion, occasionally a poor memory or trouble remembering new information, and black dots within his vision are also indications of a painless migraine. He gets them most often after a vision comes true, or right when he wakes up after a dream containing a vision, but they can strike at any time.
Another effect is the insomnia (which he'll claim is just his mind's way of protecting him from bad visions). It's a frequent ailment, making it a near constant battle to sleep. Without sleep, he's often tired throughout the day and often anxious. Anxious about everything- when exactly his vision's coming true, what people are thinking, whether his family's alright, and a million other things. Sometimes he finds himself anxious with no cause at all.

General Appearance: Pink, blush dusted cheeks accent the pale complexion of the twelve year old, marking him as shy whenever the pink hue darkens. Elias also possesses pale blue eyes that light with enthusiasm with every smile and grin he presents. A smile is often what strangers see, because Elias finds it difficult to carry a conversation for long without feeling the tinges of anxiety. Sealed lips or not, he can still seem friendly. And with a hairstyle mimicking his brother, he's got dark brown hair that conceals his ears and curls just below the nape of his neck. And like his brother, his body is patterned in random scars. Unlike his brother, he's completely missing the toe nearest to his pinky on his left foot.
Standing at four feet, nine inches, Elias hasn't quite hit his growth spurt. Being short is a sore spot for him. He always seems to stand just below the mark. Just shy of the top of the cupboard, just barely out of reach of the apple hanging on the tree. It also influences the clothes his mother buys for him. Still squared away in the children's section, he fits into generic outfits and shirts with abstract designs. Skateboards, cartoon characters, and colorful splashed t-shirts. Jackets with pants of the same polyester material, well-fitted blue jeans, and the rare appearance of a dress shirt or tuxedo for special occasions would sum up his wardrobe. The one thing you'll never see him in is overalls, unless his mother insists, but he won't do it happily.
Personality: Elias Wolfbane doesn't have much in common with his brother on the surface of their personalities. Elias is timid and prone to blushing, more likely to rush to apologize rather than to insult. He's nearly always smiling, even if he shouldn't, and his laughter rings freely even when the situation might not warrant laughter. And very unlike his brother, he'll quickly trust a stranger if they smile and show a little kindness. He might not talk to them, or be able to avoid blushing, but he'd help them if they requested it, or accept their help if they offered it.
Among classmates and family, Elias tends to be known as the happy one. Not only his smile, he's optimistic and caring without knowing any better. He's also quick to forgive. You'll rarely catch him holding a grudge or even tattling on an unkind peer. He prefers forgiveness to loneliness. Shy as he is, he's often found near others. Whether it happens to be a crowd of people or his brother, or even as one more occupant in the library, Elias feels most at peace when he resides in an area with others.
Elias doesn't often complain. It isn't as much a virtue as a lack of desire for more sympathy. He might trust people, but he doesn't correlate trust with openly admitting his emotional or physical problems. It often leads to repressed anger and the silent treatment when things have gone too far. Once in a while, it even manifests as a flare of temper. Granted, shouting still isn't really his ideal means to solve a problem. And neither is hitting. Getting into any altercation where physical blows are exchanged isn't worth the worry or anger his parents would express.Your VicesLikes: His brother (who he idolizes), most instruments (especially his cello), aliens/scifi, waffles, fluffy animals, sunshine, fruit punch, and cookies.
Dislikes: Lectures, western books and shows, people worrying about him, near constant examinations, when his brother makes people sad, mathematics, itchy clothes and wearing overalls.
Strengths: Playing music by ear, telling stories, making people smile, entertaining himself indoors, and he's a respectable painter (he often paints faces and abstract designs, especially on rocks)
Weaknesses: Reading music quickly, knowing when he's hurt, his visions (they scare him more often than reassure him), falling asleep, most sports, being assertive, math, cooking, and figuring out how to look up spoken words in the dictionary
Fears: Making mistakes while reading aloud, his brother's injuries (seeing injuries sucks, having them isn't bad), cockroaches, and moldy food.
Secret: He doesn't admit that he gets scared of the dark. He's not terrified, but he gets anxious sometimes, which makes him feel self-conscious. He also hasn't told anyone that he thinks rhinos are creepy and has nightmares about them. He also doesn't mention to most people that he lost a toe or that he doesn't like being asked, "does that hurt?" (a question he nearly always replies, "a little bit," to)Family TiesFather: Axel Shaymus Wolfbane ((41, Power: Invisibility))

Any Other Important People:NoneHistoryElias Boden Wolfbane celebrated his birth on January 5th, 2002. And from day one he was different than most children. Elias lacked the ability to ever feel completely safe. He lacked pain, requiring him to be extra careful with even the most mundane tasks. He grew overly accustomed to biting his tongue and being scolded for a half a dozen other things. He heard "no," and "be careful!" more times than most people do in a lifetime. Fortunately, he had his brother there. Visibly seeing another person get hurt and not notice, even though he didn't feel pain either, provided a stark contrast to the reactions of his parents.
A broken arm at six years old and countless scars later, Elias made it to the age of seven by listening very carefully to his parents and mimicking his brother whenever Demetrius would let him tag along. But it was at age seven that Elias came to really fear CIP. He was at the lake with his family when he caught the attention of a vicious alligator snapping turtle. The creature must have saw his wiggling toe. It clamped down on the toe beside his smallest toe and refused to let go. When blood began to stain the water, his parents pulled him from the water. Then, amid the screaming, he stared at the blood-soaked turtle. The obvious impulse was to pull it off, but to Elias' bewilderment it wasn't the instant action. The snapped jaw proved rigid and unyielding. But what really fascinated Elias was the spiky collar the creature seemed to bear. It looked somehow more menacing, like a creature that belonged in a cartoon. Little else was comic about the situation, except for perhaps the strange fact that the turtle got to go to the hospital with him.
A lost toe later, Elias was more nimble on his feet and more aware of the ground beneath him. But he hadn't lost his optimism in the face of fear. With a smile for every occasion and the desire to see those around him grin, Elias continued with his schooling and continued trailing after his older brother. At least until his brother was sent away to Hammel in May. Elias absolutely hated how lonely the house felt without his older brother. He hated going to the doctor's alone all the time, and hated how careful he was when he was by himself.
Fortunately for Elias, he was presented with yet another abnormality to contend with approximately a month after his brother's power manifested. He began having strange dreams. Not nightmares, not even lucid dreams, just very real dreams that would almost always come true. Like deja vu. Within two days of his first dream he was recruited and sent to Hammel to follow in Demetrius' footsteps.Roleplay ExampleTuna. As warm and lumpy as it'd been the previous two days this week.
If Madison Matthews hadn't been the cutest girl in his third grade class... well, Silas probably wouldn't have done it. But she was, and he had set a precedent on Monday when he'd noticed her grimace as she pulled her sandwich from her brown paper bag. He'd marched right up to her with a smile and told her he hated that his mom kept packing him peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.
A complete lie, of course. Eight-year-old Silas loved peanut butter and jelly, especially strawberry jelly. And then he sealed his fate. He offered to trade her, as if he'd just thought of it that moment in desperation. Only if she wanted to. She'd smiled like he'd just promised her a puppy, and she didn't stop smiling the entire school day.
So yeah. It was worth it.
They say the third day was the worst. They were talking of surgery and injury, but the third day of lumpy tuna was particularly hard to choke down. There were at least a dozen times where Silas nearly dropped the sandwich and left the lunchroom. Silas could survive a day without lunch.
Except, Madison was watching him from across the table, a small grin of contentment crossing her features as she nibbled at the peanut butter and jelly combination he'd parted with. Grape jelly today, which she'd assured him was her favorite so far. What About You?Name: Demimus or Shea will do <3
