The Basics

Name: Ion Uri Korczak. Yeah, Ion like the charged particle, he’s just glad he didn’t end up with a power that made it ironic.
Nicknames: Ion is a pretty short name, not much you can use as a nickname for it.
Age: 18, just
Orientation: Very much heterosexual.
Desired Rank/Job: Student
Powers: Dimensional storage. Ion is capable of placing non-living items he is in physical contact with into an alternate dimension that no-one else can access, and can retrieve them at will. The larger, and more, items he keeps in storage the more he has to concentrate, or risk losing them. So far he can keep a total volume of objects of about 3 meters cubed, or up to fifteen smaller objects with very little chance of losing them. Any more than that and the chance increases exponentially, especially if he keeps them for any length of time. He is also capable of accidentally putting things into his dimension, leaving almost no chance of recovery since he isn't concentrating on them, though luckily this happens a lot less these days.

The Details
Hair Color: Dark brown
Eye Color: Again, dark brown
Any Piercings? Nope
Any Tattoos? No
Any Scars? N/a
General Appearance: Ion considers himself a pretty average looking guy, he works out a little, but nothing drastic. He’s slightly above average at 5’11”, but not enough to stand out in a crowd. One of the few ways he does think he stands out is his hair, which he keeps at just above shoulder length, about the only bit of his appearance that he bothers to spend any time on.
That extends to his clothes too. He does have a few suits (His father’s influence entirely), but he’s a jeans and t-shirt kind of guy, and after his years in nice cold Switzerland he rarely wears a jacket.
Personality: Ion’s a pretty easy going guy, much to the distress of his parents. He doesn’t have much ambition, and is mostly a ‘go with the flow’ kind of guy, rarely having a direction in mind and just hoping things turn out for the best. His parents say he has his head in the clouds, and while not technically true, they do have a point. That isn’t to say he is completely devoid of common sense, and thanks to his ability he finds it easy to prepare for whatever eventuality might occur. However, he does have a determined side too if he finds something he thinks is worth trying for, and once he has set his sights on something he won’t give up easily.
Around people he doesn’t know, Ion will usually attempt to start a polite conversation, or, supposing a cute girl, flirt inexpertly. He tends to embarrass himself more often than anything else, but it never keeps him down for long. With friends he shows a dry wit and quick smile, just as willing to make fun of himself as he is of anyone else. Ion is more likely to avoid the few people he dislikes, or is disliked by rather than seek out any sort of confrontation, especially considering how much time he spends among other metas, and how many of them have powers that are more dangerous than his. Though he could theoretically drop an anvil on them...

Family Ties
Father: Uri Korczak
Mother: Amelia Korczak
Siblings: Only child
Any Other Important People: My grand aunt was important to me, especially after I developed my power...unfortunately she was dead by then, but she’s still important to me.
History
Uri Korczak was a successful business man, already a self made entrepreneur, dabbling in everything, when he met the woman who would soon be his wife. At first Amelia’s father didn’t approve, but he eventually came to like the driven, Canadian-born, half-European. They were soon married, and several years later decided to have children, but it took another few years before they were successful, and they soon learnt that even that had been against the odds. The odds weren’t going to be beaten twice, and complications with Ion made sure that Amelia would have no children. Not that either minded, they had their son, Uri had his heir, they were fine with that.
But even from a young age, Ion didn’t display much ambition, his primary school grades were average, spiking each time his parents found a working bribe. It wasn’t that he lacked the ability to do well, just the determination to try hard enough to do it. Other than that his childhood was pretty average, aside from the yearly trips to see his great aunt every summer to try and convince her to come back to Canada. She never came, and he can’t remember much of the circus, other than that it was always fun, and that on one visit he learnt to juggle. Since then he has responded to his father’s queries about what he was going to do with himself by telling him he would join the circus. His father stopped asking pretty quickly. Other than that it was a normal childhood, he made friends, he made enemies, his father got moderately rich, all the normal things.
Then when he hit puberty, things started to disappear around him, keys, remote controls, small little things that he had handled absently, but couldn’t remember where he’d put them. The first time he managed to get something back, he was ecstatic, he couldn’t wait to show off to his parents. Uri and Amelia were...accepting, they weren’t metahuman haters, or metahuman sympathisers, so far they’d lived their lives without considering the group too deeply, so it wasn’t too hard for them to adjust when their son turned out to be a meta.
Soon the government got into contact with the family, giving them a choice between the school in America, ‘The Hammel Institute’, or ‘Kocher high school for the gifted’ in Switzerland. It was mostly his father’s influence that sent him to Kocher, something about Ion experiencing his European heritage, even though Switzerland is pretty far from Poland. Part of it was probably the prestige of being able to say his son was attending a private school in Switzerland, it would impress his friends and business partners more. Either way, Ion didn’t particularly care, so Switzerland it was.
Kocher was all well and good, Ion made friends, learnt a lot, all of that. But it just...wasn’t the same. Sure, Europe was great and all, but he missed Canada, or even just the American continent. He knew he’d have an easier time seeing his parents if he managed to convince them to let him go to Hammel for his senior year, not to mention he’d get away from the damn cold. So convince them he did. His father wasn’t as hard to convince as he feared, part of him thought the old man was just happy he was trying for something for once, and his mother came around at the thought of seeing him more, so it wasn’t too difficult.
So with a sad farewell, Ion left his friends and teachers in Switzerland, to make his way to America to finish his schooling and gain complete control over his power.
Roleplay Example
He did know she was there, he heard her, the rustling of the bushes in the almost silence was pretty distinct. And if it was anyone but Mina, he’d find out soon enough, and they’d probably die. “You took your time.” He called as her scent wafted into the room before her, slightly disappointing him that he wouldn’t get to kill someone. Glancing over at the clock, Caine actually smiled a little. She hadn’t taken her time, she’d gotten there about as quickly as he’d hoped for, made him proud again. At her comment, Caine chuckled to himself, carefully folding one corner of his current page over and closing the bible, setting the ancient book down as he listened to her move through the house. “Glad you’re worried about my safety, but I think I can handle the few people who might wander through here.” He drawled sarcastically back to her “And if I can’t, a door won’t stop them.” his eyes flicked up to watch her as she entered the room, his body tensing a little, for once holding off the instinct to stand up and/or attack. It was an animalistic thing, she might be pack, she might be family, she might be Mina, but he still didn’t like her standing above him, almost like she was dominant. Not that she was that far above him, between her diminutive height (by his standards anyway) and his own towering physique, even sitting down. Once she dropped into the couch he relaxed though, smirking as she put her feet onto the table. “Hey, what happened to your manners, did I raise an animal?” He teased with a smirk, his own foot coming up and nudging her legs, not hard enough to actually move them, which he would do if he wanted to, just enough to carry the joke slightly further. As he did, he noticed her calf tattoo again, giving him a new idea for where to put his next tattoo, the only question was what to get.
“Oh no, how could I miss Halloween?” Caine asked drily, to him it was just another stupid human holiday. The only reason he bothered with them at all was because people never expected attacks on holidays, and if the town got together, like it seemed they had for Halloween, it was easier than going house to house to get everyone. But other than that point, all human holidays did was show off the decadence and commercialism their society had fallen into. They celebrated the birth of their supposed Messiah by showering their squealing brats with presents, and his death by eating chocolate rabbits? Halloween, from what he’d seen of it in other towns was, if anything, worse, and from a holiday meant to celebrate all the saints, or technically the eve before All Saints’ Day. Not that he thought most humans knew this. He didn’t underestimate his enemy, but he didn’t overestimate them either, he was quite sure he had their exact measure, which was why he’d lead his pack to such victory with so few causalities. Besides, that was just culling the weak; each death strengthened the pack, and made each remaining member surer of their hate for humans. It was a good system.
He was silent as he listened to Mina’s story, his smile growing as he heard about her discomfort. By the time she said she had a sword he was chuckling, when she assured him no-one was dead or broken, he laughed. “That doesn’t sound like the Mina I know.” He told her once he had control of himself. Not that she’d need a sword to leave humans dead or broken, as she’d proven before, yet another thing that made him proud. At her offer, he nodded and waved a hand for her to give her report. “That’s why you’re here, other than the charming company.” He added in, his smirk returning, only with Mina could he joke like this, the rest of the pack got a small taste, and everyone else got nothing.. She knew what to tell him, population, how spread out it was, how many ways in and out, children to adults if the town was fucked up from the normal, how close they were as a town, how many cops they had, and if they were some redneck town with guns everywhere. Luckily those were more in the south, they were fucking annoying, you had to be careful with them. It was hard to kill a wolf without silver, but shooting them a lot still hurt. He had to admit he was slightly interested in whatever she thought was ‘interesting’, however much he pretended otherwise. He couldn’t remember her calling humans interesting in a long time, he thought she was past that. Either there really was something interesting, probably another problem, or she was slipping back to her first people. Neither was good.

How Did You Find Us? An ad on ‘Hear Me’ Which I’m an admin on
Ready To Play? I make it a point to never answer questions that remind me of Jigsaw’s “Would you like to play a game?” it tends to annoy people, but I think that the one time it saves me from a serial killer will be worth it.
Oh, and I wanted to apologize for taking so long to make a character after signing up, I joined right before my finals, before realizing that was actually a pretty stupid idea...But I promise to be active, even though my finals really aren’t over for another four days.
