It was not quite a sunny afternoon, but no a chilly one either. It was just the right amount of right Luke figured as he was lying on his back in the grass. The sun broke through on occassion to make sure it didn't cool off too much, and as such the the boy contemplated taking off his shirt, but after some thought decided against it.
For one, the weather could make a 180 and leave Luke out in the cold, secondly, it would take him back to a place that, however he did not mind it, it would hurt too much at the moment. And just like that his thoughts had taken a turn into depressed-alley. Like they tended to do at least once every 30 minutes.
His mind drifted as two metal balls rotated in his hand without Luke needing to pay any attention; it was his ability at work. Having seen someone rotating metal balls in their hand before allowed him to copy the exact movements and recreate them whenever he wanted. And as much as he would argue against it, Hammel had been quite helpful in him getting his ability down. He didn't get quite as tired when recreating these days. Plus, his muscles got training out of the most mundane moves.
His eyes closed and almost caused him to drift off as the sun came out once more, this time for a good while making Luke seriouslky consider taking off his shirt in order to get some color going. ''Not all that much people around, I could pull it off.'' He figured as he made an effort to sit upright with his hand still making the same movements.
He hesitated. Was it worth it surpressing memories at the cost of being burned alive? Luke shook his head internally, put the metal balls on the ground and took off his shirt.
Now he had to hope the sun wouldn't hide behind a stray cloud.
