Well, that was fun while it lasted. Oriel tromped through the halls of the co-ed dorm with only the slightest sway in his step. He wasn't that bad, he told himself. Oriel was a veteran at this, he didn't get how people couldn't walk a fucking straight line when they'd 'had too much'. It was just walking. And besides, he didn't even have that much. Oriel tapped the ass of some girl he passed in the hall, turning slightly to send her a very 'inviting' smile. She gave him a look and scurried off.
Awww, he scared the poor thing. Oh, well. If she got freaked out by just a tap on the rear, then she wasn't something Oriel wanted on his dick.
Oriel closed his eyes and rubbed the back of his neck. Okay, maybe he wasn't thinking straight even if he could (sort of) walk a straight line. He took a breath and stepped into dorm room 204, looking about wondering if Phoenix was back yet from wherever he was.
No?
Fuck it. Oriel swaggered to the kitchenette and fumbled around for a glass to fill from the tap. Yeah, that was an idea. Drink some water, sleep it off. No need to fuck up anyone else's day just because he was butt-hurt about his own stupid, fucked-up life. Oriel left the glass in the sink and returned to his bedroom. Oriel entered just in time to hear the familiar chime of Phoenix's cell phone. Oriel glanced down at the thing on the desk, blinking slowly.
Huh, Phoenix must've forgotten it when he went out to wherever he went....Oriel assumed he was at work.
Oriel picked it up, scanning his eyes over the message on the front-screen. From Dimples. Sent...an hour ago. It chimed again, a stupid, incessant reminder that he had messages he hadn't checked yet. Oriel flipped open the phone, against his better judgment(or rather lack of judgment altogether) and clicked his way slowly to the messages left by "Dimples". He wondered what the fucker was saying about him behind his back.
Oriel's eyes panned over the messages, his mind taking a lot more time than normal to decode the unnecessarily long texts that he and 'Dimples' liked to exchange. However the words that he focused in on were enough to have his head spiraling.
"I had a great time today."
"Are you sure you want to do this?"
"Don't tell Oriel!"
"It's our little secret."
"We'll do this again tomorrow!"
"Ha, you forgot your phone today, but wanted to send this anyway."
It didn't matter what other words these phrases were surrounded by. Context didn't matter. Oriel was only seeing the words that proved that there was something sneaky going on between Gryphon and Phoenix. Something...something...he knew there was something! Did they think he was stupid and wouldn't find out!?
Oriel continued to stare with poignant disbelief as the door to the dorm with a familiar voice calling out to him.
