General Appearance: If you were to look at each of Riley’s features alone, you would think she was a Barbie doll. With long, golden blonde hair, who would think that? Her skin is perfectly pale and clear. Riley also stands at 5’11”, and despite being a normal eater, she weighs slightly below average. And to top it all off, she’s got these bright, cheerful, blue eyes.
However, there is more to Riley then that. Her hair may be rapunzel blonde, but it’s also a wild untamable curly mane. Her eyes may be blue, but they’re deep and tell a story. Besides for that, her face shape is an unusual almost box like face shape.
Personality:The first thing people note about Riley is her outgoing personality. A smile always on her face, she is always cheerful. Quite the people person, Riley also has many friends and doesn’t have a problem with going up to strangers and just introducing herself and making polite chit chat. Besides for that, know that when Riley isn’t talking, it’s because she’s laughing, and if she isn’t laughing, then she must be doing something reckless. If nothing is reckless however, then something is clearly wrong.
While her cheerful personality allows her to make many friends, it is her loyalty that allows her to keep them. While her friends realize she is an awful listener, they know that she is still always there for them when needed, whether to distract, comfort, or cheer up. And beware, hurt one of her friends, and you won’t be happy.
Furthermore, although Riley would never admit this, she does think quite highly of herself which results in her independent nature. She doesn’t care about what others think of her, meaning she, aided by her unstoppable determination, will to whatever she wants. When there is a will, which there always is, there is a way when it comes to Riley Murray. However, this attitude also leads to a couple of negative aspects like a slightly large ego, loads of sarcasm, and frequent rude comments.

History
Andrew and Helen both went to middle school together. There, Andrew thought Helen was a total nerd and loser, and like the immature 12 year old he was, Andrew proceeded to torture her, calling her nicknames and talking down to her. Helen took this silently for a while, but after some time, she finally cracked and punched Andrew in the face. Seeing this, the school expelled her, forcing Helen to switch to a different school.
People thought that was the end of the craziness that was Andrew and Helen, and for some time, they were right. The rest of middle school passed uneventfully as did high school, but it was after then that a rough patch occurred. It was the first day of classes, and Helen entered Econ 101 late, taking the only empty seat next to a guy. As it turns out, that guy was Andrew, and being mature grownups, after class they reconnected and found out that a lot had changed in six years, the primary change being they were now going out and serious about each other.
And so it continued for a couple of years until they graduated college and got married. The two moved to a suburban town and had the twins Erin and Riley as well as Adam two years later. As kids, the two girls were best of friends always playing dress up, soccer, and hide and go seek together. Adam was like that annoying little brother, but most of the times they got along well.
It was in sixth grade when the girls began to drift apart. Riley found her love for music and having fun, while Erin found her love for athletics and academia. Riley moved on and made her friends leaving Erin unhappily behind in her wake. Playing and laughing gave way to fighting and the two were no longer a dynamic duo.
One such incident was a late summer afternoon right after sixth grade ended when Erin kept on begging and begging Riley to play with her. In response, Riley screamed at Erin wanting peace and quiet. Helen, enraged, sent them both outside. So the two girls left, one unwillingly, and one with a smile on her face. For some time, they kicked a soccer ball between the two of them when Riley in a fit of anger kicked the soccer ball into the street. Refusing to go after it, Riley forced Erin to go and get it. As Erin bent down to pick up the ball, Riley saw a car barreling down the street straight at her sister. While her heart was telling her to scream move, her embittered self was hoping that Erin would get run over, and almost as if the driver heard her wishes, he continued down the street knocking into her poor sister. The car never stopped and that was the end of Erin Murray.
For a number of years, no one realized Riley had any part in this. After all, who would ever suspect a girl killing her own twin sister? Therefore, countless other incidents occurred without anyone realizing what was going on. For instance, Riley began excelling on multiple choice tests. Likewise, she became a wiz at board games. It seemed that Riley Murray had slipped through the cracks of Hammel Institute.
This however was not to last. When Riley was fourteen, Hammel Institute however got wind of what was going on in the Murray house hold. They told the Murray’s that their daughter killed Erin, that she needed training. The Murray’s were silent in shame, unable to comprehend why Riley would do such a thing. Riley was silently ashamed as well.
As a result, Riley willingly went to Himmel Institute in hopes of learning how to control her ability, feeling she owed it to her sister. It is there she has resided for the past three years and refined her ability. Afraid however to loose control, it is there that Riley remains.
Roleplay Example
Never able to bring herself to study in the cold and boring library that smelled of books that she loathed, Sophie worked in the common room, getting little done, too distracted by other people. As a result, Sophie was always behind on work and today was no exception. Left with a Potions, Dark Arts, and Ancient Runes essay all due tomorrow, Sophie was positively swamped. Even worse, she knew she had to get it done as soon as possible or else risk the wrath of Professors, something she all too often evoked.
For about an hour, Sophie sat in the common room sometimes reading a text book or scribbling a sentence or two on a piece of parchment, but more often than not, talking to her fellow Gryffindors. Finally, when finished with her potions, Sophie looked down at her now full piece of parchment with disgust. That had taken way to long for a class that was supposed to be one of her best and favorite.
And then a light bulb flashed, metaphorically at least. She could study in the common room lest she be distracted, nor could she study on the same grounds for the same reasons. The Hogwarts library was out of question, and hall ways weren’t exactly hospitable, but Sophie had a great idea. Why not go to the kitchen where she could snack and work at the same time? Even better, house elves didn’t make for interesting conversation, so Sophie wouldn’t get distracted.
Quickly, Sophie got up, and straightened all of her things up placing them neatly in her previously empty bad that was now weighed down. After waving good bye to her friends, Sophie left the common room off on a mission to complete her work. As she walked in a brisk pace, making sure to ignore others so she couldn’t get distracted, Sophie quickly made her way down to the dungeons.
Stopping at a magnificent portrait of fruit, Sophie smiled as she tickled the pair and was not surprised when it swung open revealing the enormous Hogwarts’ kitchen which contained four tables replicating the great hall, everything a kitchen could possibly need, and hundreds of house elves. One of these house elves proceeded excitedly over to where Sophie stood and asked in a small squeaky voice, “Is there anything we could do for miss?”
Sophie thought about it for a moment before saying politely with a smile, “Toast. Definitely toast. And some candy if you have?” The house elves, always eager to please quickly brought over an assortment of food which Sophie gratefully took. Bringing it over to the table that should represent Gryffindor’s, Sophie sat down started working for the second time that day.
