The following is a report written by Headmaster Alois Hauri of the Kocher haute école pour les surdoués with additions from other staff members where appropriate on our student Viola Black for the attention of Hammel Institution's staff. As Viola is a successful candidate for the transfer program to complete her education and meta-human training with our most esteemed colleagues in the United States, I feel it is of the utmost importance to provide you with what information we have gathered on her during her stay with us, so you will be fully prepared for her arrival.
I shall begin the record with Viola's background. Viola was born eighteen years ago in the south of Ireland, to a working class family. Her early years were quite standard, certainly no precursor to her teenage years. Both of her parents had a steady and healthy presence in her raising. She also had one sibling, a brother, two years her senior.
When her abilities manifested (covered later in the report) she quickly came to our attention and a recruiter was sent out. Fortunately her parents have been highly supportive of their daughters meta-human status and flown out to visit her here on many occasions, which we believe has had a highly positive effect on her time with us. She has spent the past seven years under our care and has proved herself to be a model student, which is chiefly what we believe to have qualified her for the transfer program.
As for her medical information, her last physical with our medical expert (which took place on the fifth of this month) she measured at being five feet and eight inches tall, and weighting one hundred and eleven pounds. She has no known allergies or special requirements, such as an inhaler. Over use of her abilities can cause mood swings, while singular large uses of her abilities can cause some form of backlash which can at its least induce nosebleeds, and at higher points can cause her to pass out or enter a short term coma-like state.
The following point in the report details Viola as a person, mainly compiled by the school councilor and details from our staff who have had extensive time with her in an informal manner. Viola has been noted to be optimistic and friendly. She has been actively involved in the debate team and has shown a high degree of personal confidence, being comfortable even in discussing sensitive or complicated topics in front of large gatherings of people.
In our yearly talents competitions she has performed each year over the last five years performing some sort of musical piece, performing with both the violin and a bass guitar (last year she in fact, performed with both at the same time, using her meta-human abilities to control the bass while she used the violin). I am led to believe she took up music as a method of developing self-control, discipline and a means of focusing herself, directly as an attempt to develop techniques to control her potentially explosive powers.
I myself have noticed her to be a social individual, who seems to prefer keeping to social groups of four to six tightly knit people, as opposed to keeping a larger number of friends. In a session with our councilor it has been discovered she suffers from a mild case of aquaphobia, that is, a fear of water. While this does not appear to stop her from regular interaction with water, such as showering or drinking water (as more severe cases can) Viola appears to be terrified of her head (even just up as far as her nose) being submerged. There was one incident three years ago which involved a male student trying to hold her head under water against her will, her terror induced attempts to get free resulted in the pool receiving extensive damage. She has avoided swimming in general since.
Last but not least, her meta-human capabilities. Viola has the ability to manipulate magnetic fields that exist naturally or that she has created herself. The most obvious use of her abilities is the manipulation of metals, such as reshaping objects, stopping projectiles in mid-flight or taking machines apart with her mind.Behind the M A S K . . .Name: Viola

~Wake up in the morning feeling like P-Diddy~ That was what was going through Viola's head as she got ready in the morning. Sure she wasn't actually feeling like P-Diddy...not that she knew what that would be...but with the context of the song she would guess it would be feeling hungover at the least. She wasn't hungover. She got accused of it far more then she actually was, part of the ribbing when you hailed from the emerald isle.
So she tended to her make-up, sitting before the mirror while her various bits and pieces floated about before her, the joys of the meta-human. Ready to greet the day she ventured out, door opening and closing at her mental command. The young woman's eyes quickly scanned the hallway as she left her dorm, spotting the others heading towards class. "Hola! To class my dearies!"
