Mychal was fascinated with this place, it was like he had been teleported into the world of X-Men. Everywhere he looked he saw some sort of phenomenon, and the best part was, the students practically paid no mind to it; likely because they had been dealing with it for years. But not Mychal, he was brand new to this, having only manifested his powers a little over three weeks ago. 'Light Constructs', or the ability to manifest light into physical objects. That is what they told him his power was called, and he didn't question it. Seeing as he'd already put one person in the hospital with his power, he assumed it was best to just go with what the people here told him.
Mychal had been out touring the school some more; he didn't fancy getting lost again like on his first day here, that had been an embarrassing moment, and he didn't care to repeat it. He had been walking around the school for about two hours now, and decided to head back to his room, he wanted to read some more. His mother had bought him this awesome set of books for him to read while he was here. It was two sets of novels, both of which he'd already read, but he still loved them, and his mother knew he loved to re-read books. The first set was The House of Night novels, and the second was The Chronicles of Nick novels. He had already read each of the books in these sets probably two or three times, but because he liked them so much, he'd probably read them all a dozen times more.
It was during these musings, as he entered in to the common room, and was about to head to the stair case that would take him to his room, when he apparently misjudged his footing. He had been walking around one of the couches, aiming for the steps, and his next step caught on his previous one. The next thing he knew, he was blinking, and his nosed was pressed firmly to the floor. "Surn urv ur, birtch." He said, his words getting muffled in the floor. He pulled his hands close to his chest, and pushed himself up onto his knees, "Ouch." He said with a flat look. Getting up on his feet, he brushed himself off, and was about to continue on his way, when he noticed there was someone else in the room. He stopped, head snapped in their direction, and then giving an embarrassed smile, waved a little and said, "Hi. Uh, yeah, I was just practicing my stage-dive is all."
