Introductions, Tours, You Know, The Usual Stuff

It was a fairly sunny morning as the sunshine poured into the windows that surrounded Dorothy's office. She was dressed in a fairly professional way as she was meeting a new student. One Mychal Doherty, as it was. The boy's case was an interesting one as his manifestation was during a fight and his previous school records showed he was normally quite outgoing but the last few months his behavior had been a bit a different then normal. Dorothy didn't want him to fall through the cracks here at Hammel and she was willing to work through the first few weeks with him.

Dorothy glanced down at the file that was in her hands. She smiled a bit before looking back at the boy whose pictures were in the file, and nodded towards him. "The file says that you are Mychal Doherty." Dorothy grinned at the boy and nodded her head towards him. "My name is Ms. Wilson. I am the head of housing here at Hammel." Glancing down at the file again she nodded before leading the young man towards the door, and then up the stairs at the end of the hallway towards the second floor from her office. "You have been placed in the Co-Ed Dorms, in Room 211." She smiled before looking him over again. "Your roommates are three girls, Echo Waverly, Rory Hartt, and Morgan Paige." She waited for him to catch up, before smiling towards him. "Do you have any other questions Mr. Doherty?"

Mychal was a little giddy today. He was told that he would be moving into a dorm at this school to stay. Even though he was only a high schooler, it was as if he was already in college. He always loved moving, it was the packing that he hated. And so the fact that he got to move into this awesome looking school, stay in a dorm, live in a beautiful state, and would never have to deal with that asshole again, meant that Mychal was in a very good mood.

The recruiters told him upon their arrival at the school, that he would be meeting with a woman to discuss his living arrangements. And so, that's where he found himself; standing in a nice office, talking to a beautiful lady who introduced herself as Ms. Wilson. When she addressed him by the name in his file she was holding, he said with a smile, "Yep. That's me. And my thanks to you ma'am, for pronouncing my name correctly." And he bowed his head a little still smiling. Lifting his head back up, he arched an eyebrow, and with a derisive glance to the side, said, "You would not believe the difficulty some people seem to have with it." He closed his eyes, and scratched the back of his head saying, "It seriously makes me question some people's competency sometimes."

The lady motioned for him to follow, and she headed for the door. Over the next moment as they headed towards some stairs, she told him about his new dorm, and his new roommates. "Girls?" He said with a look of shock, "You guys actually have co-ed dorms here?" He thought about his question for a moment then added, "Please don't take that the wrong way. I'm not some horny-ass teenager, ready to jump down the first pair of panties I see." He stopped then added a couple seconds later, "Though, there is another reason for that. I just didn't think you guys would have co-ed dorms for kids as young as us." Then he shrugged his shoulders, "Who knew."

When she asked if he had any questions so far, he said, "Yeah. Can you tell me anything about my roommates that might help me get on their good sides? I mean. If I'm going to be sharing a dorm with these girls...for however long," He shrugged and made a sweeping motion with his hand, "I think I'll want to make a good first impression. Don't you? You said their names were: Echo Waverly, Rory Harrt, and Morgan Paige right? How old are they? Can you tell me any of their hobbies or habits? They aren't meticulous about a clean space are they? I mean, I'm not a slob or anything, but my room often does portray a certain level of controlled chaos. Though my mother would just call it messy and cluttered."

He realized then, that he had been talking very fast. He wondered if she had even been able to understand half of what he said. "Sorry. I tend to talk pretty fast when I'm excited or nervous. And I guess I'm sort of both right now." He smiled and laughed, genuinely happy in that moment.
