Power(s): Pyrokinesis - the ability to create and work with flames creating an aversion to water (it doesn't feel right on her skin; she has hydrophobia) an extreme dislike of cold, fatigue when actively using her powers, she also does have a temper it takes a bit to get going but once it goes it is hard put out - sort of like a forest fire just the right spark and it is out of control

It was really her home any more, she spend most of her time here at Hammel more than anywhere else. She didn't mind but she wondered just how much longer she was going to have to be attending the school. If she was in a normal school this would be her Senior Year this would be her last year at school but she had a feeling that wouldn't be the case for her. She let out a small sigh as she stood there alone thinking about how abysmal she had been in training. She was seventeen and she still didn't have full control of her powers, things would still catch on fire if she wasn't careful it just happened and things got singed at times she was better than she was at the start with fires starting all the time and reacting to her emotions not it only happened on occasion like when she got too excited or far too lost in her own thoughts. Her mind was her own playground.
It was kind of embarrassing really, her brother had the same ability as her only with water and he was just as bad as her at the start but by the time she was twelve and causing fires at random Leon was able to put them out and pretty much never caused things to be flooded he was sixteen at the time. She was no where near as good as that and she was already a year older than he was almost two years older. Worse yet fire caused a whole lot more damage than water did really. Fortunately while at school people were sort of prepared and at home Leon could help out quite a bit with the whole water and fire thing.
At the thought of the water Miku gave a small involuntary shudder. She hated water, she envied and loved her brother but she hated water. The idea of being submerged in water terrified her, hell, she hated showers. She took them because she had to but she just didn't like water she could feel the water more than most people, at least she was convinced of it and she just didn't like it. Just like water snuffed out a flame she had the irrational fear that it would do the same to her. She quickly scanned the skies to see if there were any impending rain clouds she hated rain just as much as she hated water. It was also why many times she didn't like going home. She loved her mother and father dearly and liked spending time with them back home in Hawaii but she was loath to the idea of being surrounded by water and hated flying over the water, she hated flying in general being stuck in a small enclosed space so high above the ground with the potential of creating fire - that did not instill her with confidence.
Still she was back in Vermont safely on the ground and hopefully she would actually learn something to be able to keep control of her abilities with fire instead of being stuck here for what felt like the rest of her life. Still she tried to push that thought aside as she walked toward the building and follow the familiar path that would lead her to the dorms where she had been living for the past several years. Yet fate it seemed was against her as her natural tendencies took over and she found herself tripping over thin air.
"Aiiee!" she cried as she threw her small stuff toy strawberry Kochi out into the air as she flailed her arms to try and soften the blow of the hard ground that was quickly coming her way. With in moments of landing she hissed a little bit as she scraped up her hands and her knee. Fortunately there really wasn't any blood which was good she didn't want to go to the nurse so soon after arriving at school, it wouldn't have been the first time but still it was the principle of the matter. Miku let out a sigh and got herself up brushing off the dirt that decided to cling to her. Once she was clean she re-shouldered her bag and the gingerly walked over to pick up Kochi. "I'm sorry my friend," she apologized to the strawberry as if he were a real being, she brushed the dirt off of him as well. She frowned a little. She loved the little strawberry, he was a small little thing with a scrunched face and a smile and had been her constant companion since she was a little girl and Leon had won it for her at a carnival. It was what she cuddled and snuggled when she was tired, lonesome or sad. Kochi was also who always heard her troubles and concerns. He was her closest friend and meant the world to her. Of course it didn't hurt that she absolutely loved strawberries, she thought they were absolutely cute to start with and the found them to be super bright and cheerful. A big bowl of strawberries was a good way to brighten her day.
Of course most people didn't think that Miku needed to have her day brightened as she was one to always brighten other people's days, she was always miss positivity on the outside and always full of smiles. When around people Miku liked being what they expected of her and she was happy to oblige if she could make a person's day and make them smile then it made her day and made her smile. It made her come across as silly and stupid at times but that was okay as long and it garnered a smile though there were times where Miku wondered if she was more of an annoyance than a help to those around her, still she tired not to focus on that or the negative in her life when with others she got too much joy and energy from those around her and had too much fun with people to worry about things until she was alone like she was at that moment at least until she saw a friend across the way.
She noticed them right away "Ah!" she called out before yelling the person's name, they were a lifeline away from her darker thoughts and that was what she wanted to do was forget about her doubts, worries and concerns. Despite her dread of being stuck at Hammel forever she really did love the place as long as she had friends there and right now she did and that excited her. Once she had her fiend's attention she ran dashing toward said person with a huge bright smile on her face ready to gab away and talk about anything and everything as long as it was happy and fun she was down for it. Maybe she could get her hands on something caffeinated for an extra pick me up? She didn't really need it as she was always a ball of energy but that added energy was always fun and made for a good time in her mind. After all it was the first day back from break!Behind the M A S K . . .Name: Carrie

When Jessica said that she wouldn't miss meeting up with him for bowling he was elated. He was glad they had this chance to go out. There was just something to spending time with Jessica that he rather enjoyed. "It's alright, things happen I don't mind," offered Winston speaking the truth though he had been worried he was okay with it in the end. "Though you running over is kind of impressive," he remarked noticing Jessica's shoes. Winston wasn't one to exactly notice fashion but he did think Jessica looked pretty which he did tell her as such but he also happened to notice the shoes in regards to her running. He didn't know how running was accomplished in them let alone walking but that was something else entirely.
"We can head on over," offered Winston with a smile considering he didn't have anything planned beforehand "I figured we could possibly do something else as well - the alley we are going to had a decent arcade there - that is if bowling doesn't run over" Winston didn't want to be late picking Maddie up, and he was also thinking that they could all three possibly have dinner together before Maddie had to work on home work and things had to end. Of course Winston didn't want to spend a lot of time thinking about the end considering things just started. So he sort of started to lead the way to his car where he could ditch his bag from class and then drive them over to the bowling alley.
Then Jessica returned the compliment of him looking nice as well and how Navy was a good color on him. (He had told Maddie that he was capable of dressing himself even if she suggested the hat - which of course added a fun element to their conversation.) Winston flushed a little bit as Jessica said that he was hot and started to laugh just slightly nervously as Jessica corrected what she said. It was one of those things where it was easy to slip up between hat and hot but at the same time it was kind of out there and it was very nice and almost embarrassing and ego boosting all at once. "Thanks," spoke Winston with a smile as he tried to get the flush out of his face. "Maddie did a good job picking out the hat. She used some of her allowance to get it for me when she first moved up here - she called it a thank you sort of present. She's convinced I need more accessories in my life- that and color. She's actually been stealing the pillows from my room and exchanging them with her own purple ones." Winston shook his head -it was an easy subject to talk on with Jessica as they walked toward his car talking about Maddie. As they walked there was this almost instinct to reach out and grab Jessica's hand but it was an instinct he questioned. He hand't known Jessica that long after all and he didn't exactly want to take things in a direction that Jessica didn't want to go or make things awkward too quickly particularly when they had just gotten started on things and Winston very much wanted to take Jessica bowling.
