A year has passed since the cataclysmic events surrounding the Third Great Galactic War which has left the galaxy in utter shambles. The galaxy has plunged into an unshakable dark age. Many important planets lay in ruin along with 2/8ths of the galactic populace lying dead among them.
Out of the ashes of the destroyed Federation, the Galactic Empire has risen up and claimed its place as the galaxy's last and only Superpower. With every inch of the Federation effectively extinguished, there is no one to challenge the Empire's supremacy.
With the Force Orders subdued during this conflict, the Jedi have scattered to the corners of the galaxy, cut off from each other and ignorant of other's whereabouts. The surviving Jedi Grandmaster and few members of her council have taken refuge in a abandoned citadel on Rhen Var, quietly hidden and slowly recuperating their numbers. The Sith Order itself is no more. After the death of Darth Malificus and the subsequent triumph of the Empire over them, Emperor Blackwood has placed hefty bounties on the heads of Sith, causing all of their kind to be hunted to extinction.
With this new age of death, ruin, and decay, a shroud of an uncertain future and darkness encompass those who live and tell this tale. Will the Empire manage to rebuild this tattered galaxy and usher in a new golden age or has the previous war bore a new opposition to rise from the depth of the ruins to challenge them? Will the Jedi reconstitute themselves and rise from the cold dreariness of Rhen Var or will the Sith prove too resilient to be exterminated at the hands of mere mortals?
