But, I seem to be struck by you

Jade had been going out a lot lately... She wasn't even going to deny that, but she needed it. There was classes and newspaper duties and Starbucks and sometimes when she had a night off, she just needed to go out. And she wasn't even out with Brooke or Kristina. She just needed to be out on her own, surrounded by strangers, thrashing and moving her body in the crowd of the club, Finger Eleven's 'Paralyzer' blasting. It made her smirk to herself, considering her power, what she could do to anybody in this club, but she also didn't use her power so freely. She had a while ago, to paralyze Kai to supposedly teach him al esson and she kind of felt bad about it now, ever since he'd been stung by that bee. She hadn't really spoken to him since she'd seen the ambulance take him away. And she'd been reeling since then, and as usual, throwing herself into many different things, to keep herself busy and keep her mind off of the things of her past that those events had brought up.

And so she was just moving her body, raven hair thrashing about everywhere, probably hitting someone around her.

Anthony was starting to get a hang of this new life as a college student. Go to class, do the work, and once the weekend hits, it was time for a well deserved night out on the town. He was even starting to think that maybe breaking up with Kales was the best thing he could have done in this stage of his life(she broke up with him, not the other way around), because had he still had a girlfriend, he wouldn’t be able to go out and enjoy night like these, freely roaming around and “getting to know” the girls with more confidence than he ever had in high school. And with no strings attached, he didn’t have to limit himself to the same person night after night after night.

Maybe Tak was right? He could get used to this for a while, at least until he reached a point in his life where he could stand to settle down.

Anthony was in the middle of the dance floor, soda in hand, and dancing with his usual dorky chicken-head bob as he moseyed through the crowd. He spotted a good looking raven-haired beauty, dancing and moving like the world didn’t matter, and he smiled. He decided to approach, but as he did, she swiveled and he ended up with a face-full of that raven hair. “Ack, hey! Watch where you’re swinging that, you’re going to take someone out like that.” His voice was friendly, and not at all upset at the infraction.

Jade had no idea who the guy was that was complaining to her about her hair hitting him in the face. He didn't sound too bothered either. He was complaining as a joke, something guys liked to do to start a conversation with women. At first glance, she realized that he wasn't really her type. He had fairly short hair and...there was just something about him. The hair wasn't the whole problem, although she did like some length to tug at. "Willow Smith supports hairwhipping," she commented. "Besides, it's fun!" She pushed black strands away that had fallen into her face when she'd stopped thrashing around so much. "Who just stands idylly in a crowd like this? You have to move!"

She really didn't care to talk to anybody, but at the same time, Jade didn't mind at all. It was conflicting, but she really didn't know what she wanted. And she always knew what she wanted.

Oh great! He got her attention! And she looked like a pretty easy-going girl too, a little edgy, but probably a lot nicer than some of the other girls he’d tried to chat up. And she looked like she knew how to have fun, too. Anthony offered the girl a big, dorky smile and laughed as if he understood the reference to the song. “I’ll bet!” he agreed. “You know, sometimes I wish I could pull of a long haired look so I can go all headbanger rock-n-roll on it.” Of course he had to demonstrate, holding his hand up to the ceiling like he was at a metal concert. He laughed, because he was obviously awesome! “I’m not standing idly! See? I’m movin’!” Cue the bad dancing. Oh yeah, he was the picture of studliness.

He looked pleased with himself, as if it was a miracle he'd gotten her attention. She shook her head at him and his headbanging impersonation. "There were about ten girls interested in you here and now you've lost half of them," she remarked snarkily, a smirk on her lips. "Yeah, I do see you're moving." And honestly, it was kind of a disaster. Jade couldn't help but think that, but she also didn't really care how she looked on the dance floor and he shouldn't either. She was here for herself, losing herself in the music and she still wasn't sure how he fit into that equation.

“Aww, they’re all missing out then! And I’ll guess not worth it if they can’t appreciate my smooooth dancing skillz!” No, Anthony did not care what people thought of his dancing. Because if he did, then he’d never get out onto the dance floor and would never catch the eye of a lady as beautiful as this one. Sometimes, you just had to be yourself, with all the good and bad, in order to get anywhere with people.

Though it seemed like this girl was more interested in dishing out her own smooth moves. Well, looked like Anthony was going to have to step up his game. He swirled around to her front and started doing the - yes, you guessed it - the sprinkler. Hardcore. Followed by that age old classic, the shopping cart. Oh, baby~
