She was satiated. As far as light went, that was. She was satiated as far as food too, but the light thing was more noticeable seeing how it meant that she didn't have to intentionally let herself absorb illumination today. In fact, she could kind of feel that she'd even be alright just hanging out in the dark for a while. Yes, she was aware that this all relied on how many or little accidents she had today and how many or little times she got all worked up, but still, in general, she was all set. So, for the first time in days, she didn't feel compelled to go outside for for a handful of hours.
It wasn't that she couldn't just pull in light from the artificial sources, it was just... Well, she supposed it felt cleaner when it came from the sun rather than a light bulb, if that made any sense. And, it seemed stronger too. Though, she could better understand that than the whole clean thing. Well, either way, she wasn't going to try to worry about that right now. No, Anthy was going to put the powers thing out of her mind and with a soft sigh designed to relax herself, she sank into the couch a little and opened up her book to the last page she had left off on.
The Count of Monte Cristo. It was a classic, and she had seen the movie, but seeing the movie had made her curious about how the original story had been and how accurate the version on DVD had gotten when it came to the tale. It was a story of betrayal, greed, and revenge. Possibly not something would expect Anthy to be all that interested in due to how shy she could be around strangers, but she wasn't shy all the time even if no one here had seen that side of her just yet. Actually, once she got to know someone, she was pretty open and a good deal more confident. Playful at times, even.
She paused in her reading as she thought about that for a moment. Alright. She'd do it. She was going to try to not stutter or go too quiet the next time she spoke to someone. Yes, it was a personal goal... Though, it was easier said.... or rather thought.... than done. Especially since she currently felt like there was little to no danger of being approached right then. Well, people didn't tend to strike up a conversation with someone reading a book, right? Was.... she using that as a paper shield? Oh the pun... it hadn't been intended but it made her shake her head a little.
Okay, back to the book. She wanted to finish this chapter before she got around to doing some homework. Sometimes she felt like she had to unwind a little before getting around to it even if she was careful not to wait too late in the day. Alright. Back to The Count of Monte Cristo. Focus, Anthy, focus.
