The easy S T U F F . . .Name: Cosima Maria Zamora
Nickname: Cos
Age: Sixteen
Member Group: Student
Power(s): Animal mimicry: Cosima’s has the power to take on abilities of Mammals. Yes her power is limited to only mammals, no sea creatures, birds, or lizards. She can only use one ability at a time, and for her to use the ability she has to be thinking of the ability and a certain animal. If she wanted agility she would have to think of the ability agility, and the animal she is wanting to copy it from, like a cat, or a monkey. Or if she wanted strength she could either get it from a bear, or an Elephant.
She does not have to have seen the animal in person or on tv to be able to take on abilities from that animal, as long as the certain animal has that ability and she knows it than she can use it.
Depending on which animal she gets the ability from, that certain ability will be more enhanced, or minor. Like if she got strength from a bear instead of an Elephant her strength would be weaker than an elephant, if she would get the ability from the elephant her strength would be better but still in the range of what her body can physically do. Or if she wanted speed, if she gets her speed from a greyhound she would be slower than getting it from a cheetah.
Limitations are that she can only have one ability and can only use one ability every few hours, she can’t just get strength, and then get agility her body would be too weak. She can’t be the ability activated for long period of time, the max time is ten minutes and even that is a stretch for her. She cannot use an ability that she cannot physically as a human being do, she cannot glide like a sugar glider or a flying squirrel. Nor could she use her power to be able to hold her breath under water longer by taking that ability from say a dolphin because her body isn’t adapted to doing that as a dolphin is.
Her power is also limited to what that animal is limited to like how cheetah's can only sprint.
Side effects are taking up personality traits of the animals she had taken the ability of at that moment, having certain physical strains depending on which ability she takes on (if strength muscle soreness in her arms, agility fatigue, speed restless legs.). She also needs to have a bigger intake of calories than the average person.

Visit any place in the world, where would you go? Orlando, Florida. People always say like ‘Paris’, or ‘Rome’, or some fancy place like that, but I want to go to Orlando, Florida. Why? Because all of the amusement parks! You have Universal, and Disney world! And if you drive an hour to Tampa you have Busch gardens. I would ride every single ride till I grew old. Though Universal and Busch gardens is nothing compared to some other places that have rollercoasters, but Orlando you have a lot of rides in one place.
Oh! Another place would be Korea and/or Japan. I like the culture, it’s kind of fascinating, so is the food and of course the music.
Change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
My weight, it’s one of the things that I would like to change about myself. I’m not the thinnest girl in the school, and I kind of wish I was. I’m not chubby, but I am think, and I wish my stomach was flat…
Fly, where would you go and why?
Anywhere, and everywhere, seriously? What kind of vague question is this? I could see if it said ‘one place’ but yikes… Yeah, I would take a trip all over the world, shit; I would just take a road trip if I had the money. Why? Well I have always wanted to see the world, it’s so on my bucket list, and because why wouldn’t I?
Make three wishes, what would you wish for?
For my family to have more money.
For people to love more and hate less (a lot less)
For people to realize I am more than my sexuality, or religion
Meet someone from the past, who would you meet?
Martin Luther King Jr. Just because his speeches as been pretty inspirational for me, probably in a different way than he would like, oops.
Have any pet what would you have?
Sting ray, and UnicornBeliefs
Magic? I really don’t know about this one. The magic that is of reality is fake… Where people would say being a meta is magic, I say it’s a gift from God.
Karma? Yes, I believe that if someone does something wrong that God will punish you, and if you do something right God will reward you.
Love at first sight? Yes, This might be my six year old heart talking but I do believe in love at first sight.
Life on other planets? I’m not really sure, I’m on the offence of it. I believe but I also don’t believe.. If that makes sense.. Half of me thinks that earth and Humans were made from God, God made Earth for us to survive… But on the other hand he also made us able to survive on Earth, so why couldn’t he do the same on other planets? I also wonder what the purposes of the other planets are and when I think about that, it makes me wonder if there is life on other planets.
Miracles? Yes, mostly because I believe in God, and I believe that he can make all sorts of things happen, and in turn we call those miracles.
Ghosts?
I do believe in this, just because I believe that not everyone goes to Heaven or Hell…
Luck?
No, I think luck is just something that Man/woman created to explain something that might happen that we can’t actually explain. Things that happen just happen, or we have a way to control the outcome of something happening, if someone gets in a car crash that wasn’t bad luck, it’s the outcome of someone being irresponsible.
Do you wish on stars?
I don’t wish, I pray, so I guess I pray on stars? I do most of my praying at night while looking at the stars…
Do you believe in the traditional view of Heaven and Hell?
Yes, do I really have to explain this one? Except the part where you either go to hell, or Heaven.
Divorce?
Yes, Only because I don’t want people to be miserable.
Are you religious? And if so what is your religion, and why?
Whoa, this is an easy question and a hard question…
Yes, I am religious, if you couldn’t tell. I am Christian, and I’m so very proud of it. Just like I am loud and proud of being a lesbian, but that really doesn’t have anything to do with this question.
Why? Well that really is a tough question, why does anyone believe in anything? Yeah, some people have ‘science’ on their side, or general facts. But in the end it just comes down to what ideas you just find yourself believing in the most… Any belief is just a theory, just like there are some scientific things that are just theories. While some of them are a lot more believable than others to each individual, that doesn’t make any of them less valuable in a general standard.
But I guess that rant didn’t really answer the question huh? Well it half did… Where I’m trying to go is, why do people believe in anything that they do? We can come up with a million reasons in our head why we believe in certain things, and the truth is half those reasons, maybe even more than half is never going to make sense to anyone else but you. So, in the end why even bother with answer the question ‘why’? When it just comes down to ‘it’s just what I believe in’, or ‘it’s what I grown into believing in’, and really my beliefs are what made me who I am today, and I'm sure most people can say the same thing.
So, short version, I refuse to answer such a question that has formed into a way to belittle someone that has a belief that you don’t understand or like. There is no right answer to this question that is going to make anyone understand me better, nor understand the things I believe in.
So why should I even bother? To prove a point that is never going to be seen by someone else? Or just to humor the other person? Again, I refuse to answer this question; because I refuse to do either of those before mentioned things.

What is the most embarrassing moment of your life?
When I came out to my best friend, she questioned my beliefs and I didn’t know how to respond.
What’s your school like
It’s alright. I mean it’s Hammel, it’s like a school for ‘privileged’ people ain’t it? Or ‘gifted’ whatever term you want to use without actually saying the correct one. It’s like any other school, just a lot bigger. It’s cool to be living in a dorm though, and living pretty much by myself. I have to admit I do miss my family. I came to Hammel when I was fourteen. I’ve been practicing my power, which has been hard to say the least, but that’s alright.
What is your household like?
Household? I am guessing this question is about my family household before I moved into a boarding school… This is a pretty personal question… and this is going to be quite a long answer… I shall give it my best shot though.
I am from Florida, and my family lives in a trailer park. Yeah, it’s kind of shitty place to live in but there isn’t much my family can do about it. We all have had a pretty rough life, but we all refuse to back down and give up.
Both my parents work, they both have to… Neither one of them has very good jobs, and it kind of sucks but that’s just how life goes at this point. My older brother also works so with three people working we all get by, When I was living with them I couldn’t work because I was too young, actually I just started working recently, well since I turned sixteen. So I have been sending them money through our bank accounts, though it hasn’t been a lot it still works. Everything counts. My family relies on coupons to do grocery shopping. My little sister is also too young to work, considering she is only twelve.
It makes me feel bad that I am now living in a boarding school… I had gotten the easy way out, and it kills me knowing my family is still struggling to keep their heads up out of the water.
Coming to Hammel was such a big change to me, because I had access to a lot of things that I didn’t have in my home. I can go to the computer lab and use the computer after class hours for almost anything I want, mostly school research and listening to music… We didn’t have wifi, or a computer in our house, and I certainly don’t have the newest iphone, well I don’t have an iphone period… Everything any of us had was pretty standard, we didn’t have a flat screen tv, nor any of the new game stations. Actually the only games we had were board games, and the PS1, but that was enough for our family. We didn’t have Comcast, or Directtv, or any other fancy cable thing out there. But everything we did have was enough for us, we were all happy and having very little is what I believe made us such a close family. Because none of us were absorbed in facebook, or twitter, or google, or youtube, or the internet in general; though when my best friend often let me borrow his ipod I would get absorb in the music.
The most expensive thing I own is my drum set, which my best friend of all time gave to me when I moved to Hammel (it lives in the music room). This guy was the person who taught me how to play drums, and acoustic guitar, and how to read music sheets.
This best friend had change my world, and I am so very thankful to him.
How many languages do you speak? 3, English, Spanish, and sign language.
What do you fear the most?
That my family might end up on the streets.
What was the most exciting moment of your life?
When my powers manifested, because of my power it feels like I have more than just one power. Which is pretty cool, oh and coming to Hammel that was pretty exciting as well.
What was the most frightening moment of your life?
Watching walking dead…
And realizing I had to leave my family to go to the meta school.
Who has had the most influence in your life?
Everyone in my family, namely my mom; because all of them work so hard and struggle so much, and love so much that they are all my inspiration, and influence me a lot.
Do you have a secret?
I don’t really let people know that my family doesn’t have a whole lot of money to their name.
What are your strengths?
Sports
Drums, and guitar
Explaining things/speeches
Down to earth
What are your weaknesses?
Easily frustrated
Has a big heart (can’t stand to see people hurt/hurting)
Would do almost anything to help a stranger
Charities
When did you go through whatever made you supernatural? What was it like (in your opinion)?
When I was twelve, I was playing soccer with a few friends, I was face to face with one, and I suddenly had this overwhelming reflex because when I got the ball and moved away from one person I almost ran face first into another one of my friends playing the game. I say almost because I had dodged him just in time. But I had never had that type of reflexes.
It was actually really cool… I knew I had a meta power, because that was just unnatural.. But yet at the time it felt so natural. It also helped knowing my father had been a meta, my mom isn’t though and neither is my older brother. Two day later someone from Hammel came for me, told me I was a meta, and brought me to Hammel. They said I had animal mimicry because of how I was thinking about a cat’s reflexes while playing soccer, because with soccer you need to have some sort of reflex.
What do you think now of being supernatural? Is it cool, or have you been screwed?
I never thought that I had been screwed, though I can understand how some people could. I would feel like I had been screwed over if I got telepathy, I never want to be able to read other people’s minds, because that’s such a dangerous place.
