The Basics
Name: Jen Mitchellson
Nicknames: Jenny
Age: 19
Orientation: Heterosexual.
Desired Rank/Job: College Student, still undecided major.
Powers:
Gum-like Elasticity.
Jen has the ability to stretch her body more than the average human, changing her natural dimensions at will and bend it in inhuman ways. There is a limit to her stretching though, and her body weakens where it’s stretched out, leaving her with muscle pains if she pushes herself too far.
Jen's power is used mainly on her extremities and her neck, her body, although flexible, can't stretch out that much. Plus, if her limbs are stretched too far, they become weak and, if too thin, could easily be cut off. Plus, Jen lives in constant fear of not being able to reassemble herself onto her original state. Perhaps a bit shallow, but who would want to spend the rest of their lives as a mocked spaghetti human?
She also suffers from muscle spasms most times she stretches, along with a weakened body. Besides, her ability to stretch out doesn't give her any particular extra strength. The one thing that elasticity is good for, at least according to her, is being able to stretch into small spaces and peek over someone's shoulder. Other than that, let's just say Jen benefits from staying away from fights.

The Details
Hair Color: Brown
Eye Color: Blue
Any Piercings? Ears
Any Tattoos? None
Any Scars? Some cuts here and there, but nothing serious.
General Appearance:
Haven’t you seen Jenny? She’s adorable! The perfect little girl obviously has to look the part, right? She has wide blue eyes and a small frame that makes any dress look good. Except she hates them. Sure, she’ll dress the part if life demands it, life often being her parents, but she actually hates dresses and heels. In her daily life, she’d wear various t-shirts, hoodies, jeans and flats to get around, caring enough to keep her hygiene up to what’s socially acceptable. White teeth and a nice perfume are always necessary to get away with things after all. Her hair is usually down in her daily life, long and past her shoulders, but she’d pick it up if the occasion deserves the trouble.
Jen seems to transform when she’s acting, so she’d pretend to be lady like, with her back firm and her chin up, like society demands. By herself or around those she trusts? Yeah, not so much. She’ll crouch and be as inhibited as any other person.
She's not too tall nor too skinny, barely hitting the 1.65 meters mark and her weight, though variable, usually stays fit enough.
Personality:
Jen is a bit of a brat, considering she was the first little girl in her house. That was until they figured out she was a meta like her brother and had to leave home. Ah, the look on daddy’s eyes. She’d keep appearances to get by, pretending to be meek and quiet to stay out of trouble. In reality, Jen strives to get out of that shell, of the stigma of her parents expectations on her and just be herself. She manages to get along with people well enough, if they aren’t insulted by her usual lack of filter. Don’t get me wrong, she could hold back, but if she’s not getting anything out of someone she sees no problem in letting them down or play a prank on them. And her kind of joke is sarcastic and sometimes down right cruel, but it’s fun for her. Sure, she could be seen as a tad too mean spirited and self involved, but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t care about people. She loves her family… somewhat, and she adores her friends, if she had any that is.
Jen also likes to take it easy. She’s not for compromise in anything she deals with. Sure she might get involved in something she likes, or someone, but responsibility isn’t her strength. And maybe making a choice about a career is a tad too scary for her. Who could spend their lives doing just one thing, after all? She can be a little bit of a flirt too, though she mostly doesn’t mean anything of it. It’s just all part of her jokes.
One wouldn’t exactly call Jen a party girl, since she doesn’t like most people, but she’ll pretend if it was necessary. She’ll smile and dance and laugh at your jokes if she needs to, while wanting nothing more than to take off her shoes and read a comic book or play some video game. That’s right. Jen is a closet nerd. She loves super heroes, cartoons and video games. Apart from her rather stationary hobbies, she loves running. You can find her late at night jogging up and down the streets of Pilot Ridge.
Overall, Jen is just a girl who’s trying to find herself. She has pretended to be someone she isn’t so many times that she isn’t sure who’s the real Jen. And sure, she’ll smile and act as if she cares about someone, but she’s not sure if she can actually do that. And that scares her, because she fears she might actually end up all alone if she doesn’t act like she should or how others expect her to. Some would call her fake, and that’s probably true, but she’s willing to let her real self out to the right people, those she feels would never judge her.

History
A what a sweet childhood that was. Jen will remember her earlier years with a nostalgic smile on her face. Not. It was hell. Do you know what it’s like to wear long sleeves and high neck fluffy dresses with tight shoes for hours under the sun? Because Jen knows. Oh, how she knows. Harold, or daddy as she calls him, was an aspiring politician, one who finally managed to be mayor. And who was there in all those campaigns? Why his kids of course! And adorable little Jen was there with her puffy dresses and her pigtails making daddy look good.
Okay, maybe things weren’t as bad as Jen remembers them. No, really, they weren’t. She just likes to complain. Truthfully, daddy and mom were actually pretty decent parents, if it weren’t for the politician gatherings, Jen would tell you her childhood was all right. At least all those events taught her to pretend and smile and act as if she truly cared about some fire or whatever her daddy’s speeches were about. And how she loathed them. Why couldn’t her brothers take care of things like she did? She was pretty sure K would look adorable with the same puffy dress anyway! Ugh. But she endured, because she’s a fighter, or so she would say. She just did so for the attention.
So Jen grew up like that, being the center of most political campaigns looking oh so adorable and smiling gently at the cameras. Sure, out of them she was another story. Jen was spoiled. Was that really a surprise? She learned how to work people to get what she wanted since she was really young. Sure, her brothers would try to get away with their own thing in their own ways, but Jen was already a master manipulator when she was little. Well, manipulator to her parents, particularly daddy. Still counts!
Jen was too self absorbed to notice her brother slipping into dark times, although with all the attention she got it’s not surprising. But in previous times, K was just that boy that spent all his time alone. Wasn’t that just how life went? It wasn’t until she over heard her parents fighting over it that she even learned the word. ‘Depression’. That wasn’t easy for a nine year old. Besides, it took her daddy away. That she noticed. Her father worried about it, but seemed unsure of what to do. None of them did. Jen remembers that time with guilt, since she remembers all those moments she walked past K’s room and thought of knocking but didn’t, in fear of getting involved in something so serious. But that time was short. A few moments later K was gone, sent to some school because of those wings that appeared a morning. Something she’d never admit out loud was that back then she’d been glad. The problem was gone. Now she remembers with guilt, and she really paid the price for thinking what she had.
Just three years later, Jen was sent away too. She’d woken up, just like K had, only instead of having wings grow out of her back, her arms seemed to stretch out for good two meters, surrounding her pillow completely. And life of course had a sense of humour. Arriving at Hammel, Jen saw her brother as she’d always hoped he would look like. He seemed calm, happy, even smiling. Funny how life turned around, since without daddy to take care for her, Jen became distant and she often said the wrong thing, leaving her alone in Hemmel and filling her days with silly hobbies, like comic books and video games. At least time let her mature enough to appreciate her brother for what he was and actually seek out a relationship with him.
Roleplay Example
From another site. Character: Rachel.
Why was coffee so goddamn popular in New York city? And this one in particular? Didn't people know there were hundreds of coffee shops all about? Was every single person living in the city trying to get THIS coffee from THIS shop? It was her fault really. She'd thought the line was short enough when she first arrived, distracted by the tetris wannabe game in her cellphone. "Letris" Witty. Anyway, half an hour later and she noticed she wasn't moving as fast as she should've.
Rachel sighed, letting out steam from her mouth as it was far too cold for her taste. It was still morning and her day had already been ruined. First she'd overslept, having worked double turn last night taking care of some old man who kept hitting on her. Then she got late to yet another job interview and had blown it, like always. So she wasn't a 'people' person. Big deal. Who was, anyway? And so, after being told just that and forcing smiles all about, shaking the hand of someone who felt really bored, she thought some coffee and a bagel might cheer her up. So here she was, about to get it. And she was next.
"Hey." She greeted the barista (was that what they were called?) barely looking up from her phone. "A small american and a bagel, please." Not that she'd intended to be rude or anything. It was just that she was tired! And didn't you hear? She wasn't a 'people' person."$4.99." She heard someone say and she looked around her pocket. Out went two dollar bills and she sighed. Great. She forgot her wallet. "Hold the bagel." She said, pursing her lips and slapping her two dollars on the counter, which was sufficient for the coffee. No tip. Hey! They should be tipping her! She had a crappy morning after all.
Still looking down at her phone, Rachel turned on her heels and crashed into the next person in line, dropping her coffee all over herself. At least it wasn't THAT hot. Come on!"Great..." She muttered under her breath to whomever she'd crashed onto, even though it'd obviously been her fault. Did she mention already what a crappy morning it'd been?
