Power Swap! Anyone else noticing something strange? (OPEN)

The day had been a strange one for Colton. Firstly he had woken and had been unable to read the book he had been reading the previous night, (which still aggravated him) since it was in Dutch, secondly he noticed that he had lost his ability. The third thing he had noticed that morning was that he had gained a new power when he set his glasses down in a plane that was not his own. He had grabbed his glasses when he saw where they were, but he didn't fully realize what had happened until he put them on and looked around seeing that there was no way he could have put his glasses down in that spot.

Still, Colton tried to go about his day as normally as he could, going to his classes and actually feeling nice that he didn't have to control what language he was talking in when talking to people in his classes, yet he did begin to start losing things when he set them down in the other plane.

Eventually the school day ended and he decided to go to the pond that he had found during his first week at the school and try to see what exactly his strange new ability could do, so he grabbed a rock and began moving it between the storage plane and the one he was currently on. He was so focused he most likely wouldn't notice if anyone came near him at the moment until they practically breathed down his neck.

Apparently the school was in an uproar. The day started off as it usually did, he woke up, had breakfast, and attended his classes. But he noticed that people were acting strange, they were either elated, pissed, or terrified. He didn't really know what was going on at first, but listening in to a couple different conversations told him that somehow, tons of students found out that they either had a different ability from their previous one, or none at all. Those that had hated their powers before the change, either because it sucked or had horrible side effects, were happier than they'd been in a long time if they'd gotten a cool one, or no power at all. However, those who loved their ability from before, were either also happy because they still had a decent power, or were pissed because they now had a less than desirable power, or none at all. Thankfully, Mychal wasn't really in either group, however he was still happy because he had been one of the few to not undergo the strange change. He still had his power, and he was happy.

As the day progressed, he watched in amusement at the students around them and their dramatic reactions to the situation. Though to be fair, if he had changed powers he would likely be one of them, and odds are, he wouldn't be happy. Some time in the early evening he decided to go for a walk outside, wanting to enjoy some more of the scenery around the school. He couldn't help but feel awe at the school's location whenever he took the time to look around. It was absolutely beautiful here and he loved it.

He remembered a pond that he'd came across on one of his recent leisurely walks around the school. The scene around that place was absolutely gorgeous and he liked to just sit out there and enjoy it, so he decided that would be where he'd be going today. However, as he approached the pond he found that unlike most days, someone was already there. Most of the times that he'd decided to visit this place, he found it completely devoid of any other students, but not today.


Mychal watched the stranger with interest for a few moments trying to figure out what the boy was up to. He appeared to be taking random stone on the ground and tossing them into the air in front of him. The strange part about it though, was the fact that the object always disappeared, at least until he reached into the "Space", and retrieved. He hadn't seen this ability at the school so far, so he had no clue what it was. But from watching he could take a guess that it had something to do with dimensions, or planes of reality. Another reason he found the sight strange, was the fact that most students practiced their powers in one of the training rooms or on the training field, he hadn't really seen any students practicing anywhere else.


After a few moments he decided to go say hi to the stranger. The boy intrigued him and he wanted to know more about him. He started forward, and when he was around ten feet from the boy he said, "Hello." Smiling and giving a little wave, "That's an interesting power you've got there. Mind telling me what it is?"

Still tossing the rock in the air Colton had not even noticed that someone had come up behind him, causing him to start when he heard a boy's voice come from behind him. Turning around he examined the boy who had come up behind him, becoming slightly alarmed at how large the boy was, so much that he wondered if the boy had giantism. Still staring at the boy Colton realized that he hadn't responded yet and returning the wave he said, "Hello, to you too. And I don't actually know what the name for it is, I just woke up being able to do it." After he got done talking Colton realized he'd left the stone in the storage plane again, and reached out grabbing the stone pulling it back to his own dimension. Dropping the stone Colton asked, "So, you have the same problems everyone else seems to have today?"
