Everett had finally gotten another student. And in his hand he held the file of Christopher Suzuki, an interesting case for sure, a power he'd never heard of. Sure, shapeshifting was common, but what he shapeshifted into...well, that was a different story. Needless to say, Ev was immediately curious and figured why not take him on as a student? After all, Ev liked different powers and felt like he could help, even if electrokinesis was fairly common. Chris' power actually sounded like a good idea for a comic book series or graphic novel to be honest. An unlikely hero found in a vending machine shifter

He waited patiently for Chris to arrive, reading the comic book on top of the folder in his hands.

Christopher wasn't the most excited guy in the world when it came to meeting his trainer. In fact, he wanted to just skip. All he could do was shape shift, and not even into anything good either. Just a dumb vending machine. He hated his power. With the topic brought up, Chris would try his best just passing himself as a shifter and not get into specifics. It wasn't exactly something he wanted to share after all. Especially to a trainer who's job it was to help him with said lame ability.

He knew better though, and did need the training. Otherwise it'd always take a load of effort to shift, and his hankering for soda would never probably calm itself. Not only that but he didn't want to start making bad first impressions to adults now. Most of his teachers found him to be a good student, no way he'd break that trend. So he was off to meet his trainer, a Mister Lilien or such. He wasn't too worried about remembering the name at the moment, the guy would probably introduce himself anyways like it'd be the first day of school.

With a half empty bottle of cola in one hand, Chris knocked on the door before poking his head in and entering. "Uh, hello... I'm Chris Suzuki. I'm in the right room, right?"

A head poked in the room and Everett looked up from his comic book. Alfred and Batman had been having an intense conversation, but it would have to wait. Regretfully, he tore himself away from the comic book, shutting it and moving it beneath the file folder.

And then he stepped inside the room, awkwardly introducing himself. "Yep," he confirmed, his eyes landing on the bottle of Coke in the boy's hands. Did his power give him an addiction to soda as well? Wow. "I'm Everett. Your new trainer. Please refrain from calling me Mr. Lilien or anything of the sort." He offered a smile.

So he was in the right room. That was good. But this guy, Everett, he was young. Was he really old enough to be a trainer? As long as he was a trainer though, maybe Chris could get some progress done. He nodded to the teacher in front of him. "Yeah, alright."

Chris looked around the room. Nothing really seemed specially set up or anything. He didn't expect it to. Shifting didn't exactly require outside interference. His attention went back to Everett. "So, where do I start?" He didn't want to get training started, but as he was already there he might as well. He shifted his weight back and forth, already waiting for the session to be over.

Chris didn't say much, just mumbled an agreement to what Everett had said, presumably agreeing to call him Everett and not Mr. Lilien. And then he looked around for a moment, awkwardly before he posed a question that made Ev raise an eyebrow. "Did all of your previous trainers just jump straight into training with you?" he asked, curiously. Ev didn't believe in that tactic. He thought getting to know the student first was a better approach and then usually...they could find some common ground and maybe not start off as awkwardly. Students usually didn't really like their trainers at first. One, because it was an authority figure, and two, because it had to do with their powers, something they were usually sensitive about for one reason or another.

"Not really how I do things," he told the young boy. "Sit down," he offered, gesturing to a near-by chair. "I mean, I have a file that says your full name, grade, birthday, power...but that doesn't really say much about you. I kind of need to know how you feel about your power and what you want to get out of training and that kind of thing."
