[Remle Boyd]

Remle stood at the radio booth as her co-DJ for the day made general announcements and lined up a block of music that would allow them both to get some work done for the next ten to fifteen minutes (including commercials) There was a line of people waiting to make announcements for their booths at the fair and recording them ahead of time allowed them to play the announcements with better coverage. She held the clipboard and looked down to read the next name. "Sophie Tillman?" she called out into the line as she tried to keep to the shade of the tent. It wasn't difficult, the tent was large and the sun didn't have a chance to get through. This meant that Remle really didn't have anything to be grumpy about but she was having a pretty good day so far anyway.



She put her clipboard down and bent over her laptop to set up for a recording and moved the mike accordingly as the woman she had called entered into the space. They could still hear the bustle of the fair about them and see the people walking to and fro, but it would just add nice background noise to the interview that she was about to conduct. "Hello," she greeted the other woman with a handshake and a polite smile. "I'm Remle Boyd, I'm going to ask you a few questions about your event at the fair and we'll go from there okay? Do you have any questions?"

Waiting for her turn was no big deal for Sophie; the weather was beautiful, she had a hat to keep the sun out of her face, and she was having a grand old time chatting with the person next to her, a nice old man running a ring toss booth with his daughters. Sophie was making a mental note to stop by later when she heard her name being called. She bid the man farewell and headed inside, her peppy mood putting a spring in her steop.

"Hi there," Sophie replied, returning the woman's handshake with a smile. "No, seems pretty straightforward to me. Although ah wanna check, is it okay to mention two events?" It was mainly the talent show she wanted to pitch during her airtime, but the pie-eating contest was on the roster as well. "Ah can keep it short, that's totally fine."

Remle lifted an eyebrow at the woman's accent but her surprise was short lived, she just hadn't heard one that strong before, it sounded nice though. She returned the other woman's smile with another of her own and said in a reassuring tone, "It's not a problem, a lot of people end up running multiple tents or events when this thing happens. We can take as long as needed."

Remle set her clipboard down next to the laptop and checked once more to make sure everything was plugged in and working properly. "Okay, let's get started!" she announced as she nudged the mike closer to Sophie and then turned on the recording program. "Hi everyone, we're back and sitting with Sophie Tillman. How are you today Sophie?" she asked. After the woman had answered Remle moved on to her main question which was, of course: "So what are you doing at the fair today?"
