Jamie tilted his head to the side, biting at his lip as he looked at the equipment in front of him. He hadn’t been living under a rock by any means, but even he was completely lost as to what it was he was looking at. He looked at it a little while longer before a young woman...very young woman, walked up and began using it- giving him an odd look when she noticed him. He turned away with a start, not wanting to get kicked out of the place before he ever had a chance to utilize the membership he’d just started up.
Fidgeting with his water bottle, which he’d had the presence of mind to actually bring, Jamie walked slowly around the remainder of the gym, trying to figure out what exactly it was he wanted to do. He was a runner, but running could be done outside and that wasn’t what he’d come here for. In the past, when he hadn’t chosen running as his choice activity, he’d lifted free weights instead, with the occasional weight machine. Whatever outdated POS the Army could afford. But definitely none of this stuff. This stuff was fancy and looked complicated.
Pushing his way through a small set of doors into a room he hadn’t seen during the initial walk through, Jamie looked around. Boxing Ring, really? He wouldn’t have thought a place like this would have something like that. He wasn’t sure if this would really count as a workout, but as soon the thought popped in his head, he was quite surprised to find it was exactly what he wanted to do. Perhaps some psychologist somewhere could write a paper about the nature of his sudden desire to punch something, but it didn't cross his mind.
“Hey,” Jamie said to the person in the corner, figuring they were gym staff, “You in charge of the room?”
