Genevieve was sitting on the edge of the pool, her bare feet deep inside the water while her skirt rode up her knees to keep it from getting wet. She usually disliked being near water, considering she couldn't swim, but just wetting her feet wasn't all that bad, right? Besides, it was so peaceful here. Sure, there were people around, but for someone who usually lived inside her own head it wasn't a big deal.
The girl hummed a random tune under her breath, smiling down at the bee on her hand. She turned her hand, letting her little friend walk up in a hurry to stay on top, making Genevieve smile and giggle in delight. Sure, the insect girl felt lonely, but that didn't mean she was alone, right? There was Vivian with her after all.
Making friends in Hammel had proven far more difficult than in Kocher. Perhaps it'd been a bad idea to come here, considering how neglected she felt by her brother and most people around. Not to mention the language barrier. Sure, Genevieve did speak English or at least had learned it properly at school, but it was very different to hear a French teacher speak it instead of a native language. And there was always having to translate whatever you were thinking onto another language, leaving her talking slowly and mess up her words... No one had the required patience to deal with the insect girl. Well, there was also the fact of her lovely friends following her around and they tended to scare a lot of people away.
She didn't say any of this of course, always smiling on the outside, still playing with her Vivian. And her little game was getting a tad out of hand. Vivian had started to fly away and come back, seemingly trying to annoy Genevieve as much as she'd been trying to annoy it too.
"Vivian!" She squealed, still playful, as Genevieve turned, still sitting on the pool. "No! Stop- AH!" She made a quick turn, losing her balance and falling onto the pool.
..Did I mention she didn't know how to swim?
