The BasicsName:Rosella Carmichael
Nicknames: Madame Rose
Age: 49
Orientation: Heterosexual
Desired Rank/Job: Club Owner
Powers: Pheromone Manipulation - Rosella has the ability to produce and manipulate pheromones to alter people's emotions. She cannot create an emotion from nothing, but can further enhance an emotion which was already present in another person. Side effects include a constant, yet subtle sweet odor. Also, she is not immune to the effects of her own pheromone, though it is to a lesser degree and she is usually able to avoid releasing them towards herself. Using her pheromones takes some level of energy, especially when directing them at a specific person rather than in a general direction, so she may become somewhat breathless after using her power. Releasing many pheromones all at once or in tandem with each other will leave her even more winded, forcing her to rest until she has stabilized.

General Appearance:
Rosella is a big lady, gorgeous and curvy, and stands at an average height of 5’7”. Her cheeks round up and her umber eyes squint with every bright smile. She has a sophisticated age about her, having the experience of one who’s lived a successful life of marriage and motherhood, but the crows feet which accent her eyes only refine her elegant and mature appearance. Her chocolate skin glows deliciously under the light, and her hair contrasts at about two shades darker. While she tends to look good in all colors, she has a personal affinity for pink, red, white, and gold; warm colors for a warm person. Rosella keeps her head held high and steps forward with brimming confidence, adding to it the slightest bit of swag in her generous hips. Her posture is that of a dancer, or former dancer in her case, never having completely lost that grace in her daily actions, though probably has gained a little bit more back since she ventured into her mid-life ambitions.
Rosella has a very wide array of clothing styles, but the key point she tries to get across with it is "classy". There's stylish, of course, but Rosella prides herself on being a classy lady. At the club, she will wear a variety of elegant evening gowns, mostly in her favorite colors. She would never dream of wearing anything too provocative, even if her performers do in their acts or out on the floor. During the daytime, especially during business arrangements, Rosella will typically wear business suits to look her most profession, 9 times out of 10, with a knee length pencil skirt, all of which trend in the blue, grey, and brown colors. At home, she has nobody to impress, so will simply be in sweats and slippers, though if she does have to go out, will change into something more casual, such as jeans and a nice blouse.
Personality:
Rosella can be described as a warm, comforting woman who treats all those young people she meets as though they were her very own children. She is caring and protective of them, acting much like the mother she is. Rosella is also a terribly strict person, and expects that when plans are made, plans are kept. No spontaneity allowed, not on her watch. She is a micromanager, which in some ways makes her ideal for running a business, especially a show club. She works well from behind the scenes and is detail oriented, right down to the very last sequin on her performer’s dress. When she gives orders, her words are concise and succinct, and she expects them to be followed without question. Those who do question may be met with a subtle, condescending remark about their character and inability to take direction. Then she will switch right back to being her smiling, courteous socializing self with whomever she was interrupted from associating with.
She is a competitive lady who doesn't like to lose or lose face in any situation, so this does bring up situations where she may use her powers to turn a situation in her favor. The smallest bit of pheromone during a negotiation could mean the difference between making a deal and losing it. However, she does try to do this as little as possible. Mostly, it's when she's on the stage that she gets the most out of using her power, scattering her pheromones into the audience to get them just a little more excited and riled up for the performance they're about to see. Because of this, she's been described as being very charismatic and having very good stage presence, which isn't completely untrue either. She is as comfortable talking to people in large groups as she is talking to them one-on-one. Her use of her pheromones is just...a little something to push them in the 'right' direction.
The one place that Rosella doesn't bother using her power is in matters of love. While Rosella knows how to carry herself and how to be a proper and attractive lady, but she is far past the age of flirting casually. Rosella is a professional, first and foremost. Given that she has already live through a life of falling in love, marriage, and raising children, Rosella feels no need for intimate companionship. Her professional and social contacts are enough for her.
On days when she allows herself to relax, Rosella takes that word to heart. She lives from her couch, or her bed while at home, often with a computer screen in front of her, or the television on some soap opera or talk show. Rosella doesn’t like to cook at home, so often calls for takeout...only when she’s not working. Which is rare. And being on the go so much, Rosella has no time for anything better than what is most convenient at the time. Alas, this makes her physical health very poor, and she’s been warned by her doctors many times to be more conscious of her diet. But Rosella doesn’t have time to be thinking of such things, so it is a rare day when she decides to heed those warnings.Your VicesLikes:

Her childhood was generally uneventful up until she manifested at age 12. Before then, she lived a fairly standard life for a middle class family; she went to school, was an average student, was involved in the school choir, and had her own collection of friends, though she was bullied often because of her weight. She tried to take it in stride, but still...words hurt and kids can be very cruel.
Her manifestation happened amid a choir performance she had for her 6th grade class, when the other students let her in on a ‘prank’ against the teacher. They told her that something in the show changed at the last minute that wasn’t covered in rehearsal, and that they were all expected to do it on a particular cue. Rosella fell for it completely and was left as the only one to carry out this ‘change’. It was a childish prank, but one which made her so embarrassed that she fled from the stage afterwards, leaving a flood of pheromones in her wake.
Even more than the prank itself, Rosella was hurt that nobody seemed to come looking for her or even noticed that she was gone. It wasn’t until she finally decided to come out of hiding and look for her parents that she saw what a mess she had left on the stage. Unbeknownst to her, Rosella had doused all of her classmates with a wide range of pheromones, resulting in a mass of hysteria among them. Some crying, some yelling, others finding this whole fiasco inappropriately amusing. It took a couple hours for everything to completely calm down, and by then Rosella had been taken home and scolded for her behavior, even though it had been her classmates who had started it by playing the prank on her.
Rosella had no idea why things went so awry at the concert after she’d left the stage, but a few days later, a strange person came to the house and explained to her and the family about metas and meta powers. They hadn’t been exposed to that population very much, so it was a surprise to find out that Rosella was one of them. She was taken to Hammel, ignorant as to how this change was going to affect her family.
Life at Hammel was difficult to adjust to. She had little control over her power which often caused people around her to behave extremely when certain emotions became heightened because of her unintended influence. The first few years were probably the hardest, especially since she herself was already an emotional wreck from finding out that her parent were divorcing. It was easy for her to blame herself, especially since it seemed they didn’t get along the most whenever Rosella came home for visits. Rosella was convinced that it was because she would accidentally heighten the negative emotions that they may have been feeling for each other...which only caused them to argue more about trust, honesty, etc.. The divorce went through when she turned 14, and her mother was given sole custody of her and her sister. Her mother remarried when she was 15. The two sisters got along alright with their stepfather, but he would never replace their own father, who they did get to visit during holidays.
After things calmed down at home, it became a little bit easier for her at school. She was able to focus more on learning how to control her power, though because of it’s complex nature, Rosella still had to stay an extra year at Hammel for training.
Rosella returned home after graduating and went to a local university where she majored in business management. During her undergraduate years, she kept herself involved in many student activities, most of them centered around the performing arts. She danced in plays, sang in choirs, she even interned as a Disneyland dancer over the summer breaks. She had to leave that behind, however, in her senior year so she could concentrate on getting her B.A. degree. It was that year that Rosella met the man who was to be her husband, Landon Carmichael.
Almost immediately after graduation, the two married. While Rosella had planned to use her business degree in furthering her career, married life had taken over and before she knew it, several years had passed and the couple had been blessed with two children. For the next few years, Rosella was a stay-at-home mom, and once the children were both well into elementary school, Rosella took a job as an administrative assistant. Josephine, her eldest daughter, manifested when she turned 14 and was also sent to Hammel. Her son, Elliot, never did.
While this life was not what she had planned, Rosella still enjoyed it for what it was. When the children were both in college, however, Rosella approached her husband for a divorce. There was no resistance from him. In fact, Landon confessed that he had been having an affair with a co-worker for a number of years now, and had only stayed for the sake of their children. It was a clean break-up, but Rosella would be lying if she said that she wasn’t hurt by that admission. She expected a little more resistance from him, something to prove that they were still in love after all their years together. Their children seemed to be more against the divorce than anyone else.
Either way, Rosella saw it as this: her children were grown, she’d left her husband, and she was approaching 50 years old. It was time to leave that life behind and start something new before she got too old to do so. She wanted to start a business. A show-club or theater of sorts. Rosella had heard that one of her old classmates from Hammel had started her own show-club back in Pilot Ridge. So Rosella decided to come back herself, hoping to get some advice from her old classmate on how to get started. Little did she know that this nightclub had already been shut down. Rosella decided that there was only one thing left to do. Take out a business loan and re-open the club. Under a new name, of course. <3Roleplay ExampleIIIIIIII LOST MY PAAAANTS~!What About You?Name: Pheli
