Shut up! And dance with me! (Open)

When he asked how high she had ever flown, Cici thought for a moment. It washard to say exactly how high but..."Dunno! I jus' kep' goin' up 'n' up 'till I couldn' breathe prop'ly!" It had been exhilarating, seeing the world shrink away, but the wind that high had been rough, pulling her around the sky, and she had been very worried when she realized she was struggling to get enough oxygen, flying back lower as gfast as she could safely.

Cici gasped as Ray mentioned running into crows, then giggled. She tried to hold it in, but suddenly that giggle turned into full-blown laughter, and she found herself struggling to stay upright. In fact, she was pretty sure she was upside down...Hoping she didn't seem rude, Cici looked at Ray. Yup, upside down. Quickly turning the right way up, her laughter had died down to small giggles. "Sorry sorry! Tha' mus' 've been scary! 's never happened ta me b'fore, thankfully." She didn't know what she would do if confronted by a bunch of birds in the air, she would be scared witless!

Cici laughed as Ray blushed cutely and poked his cheek. However, his next words had her thinking. Start dancing? That was something that had never really crossed her mind. Her hobbies had always been singing and guitar. Could she really do dancing too? Was it too late to start? And then she had to smile with the way Ray put it; it certainly did seem rather appealing...especially since she had every intention of dancing in the air with Ray again anyway, so maybe..."Uhh, I never though' 'bout it...'s it too late to start? I guess I migh' like ta try it..." Now she was blushing, and she shook her head to clear er thoughts. "I mean...I'd love ta give i' a go sometime, if possible!" It was a real fun thought, and Cici was grinning widely.

[Raylaigh Hawthorne]

Raylaigh laughed and nodded. “Right, isn’t that a weird feeling?” Ray remembered when he went up too high too. He’d rocketed upward as fast as he could and he hadn’t had the smarts to think about going back down. The lack of oxygen had happened too fast and his upward ascent had been stopped when he passed out. Waking up to falling was one of the most terrifying things Ray had even encountered. Dizzy and unsure of what was going on Ray had panicked and even forgotten that he could fly. All he could think about was meeting the earth in a last and painful way. Luckily for him, his trainer was there and it was his flailing and shouting that got Ray thinking and his wings working in time for him to avoid the tree line. “Definitely something you do once,” he joked with a certain bob of his head.

Watching her Ray tilted his head a little bit but found that keeping level with her was not something he was going to be able to do. He’d never really accomplished upside down flight and so he didn’t follow her in his antics though it looked like fun. He shook his head and laughed with her. It was funny when he thought about it retrospectively. There were a lot of things in his life like that, certainly not everyone, particularly his parents, thought anything was retrospectively funny. “It was kinda pathetic to be honest,” he admitted sheepishly, “I mean they’re like this big,” he held up his hands about a foot apart and shook his head. “It would be so much easier if we could reason with them, you know? Like no, no I didn’t mean to fly too close to your nest!”

He giggled and stuck his tongue out at her childishly when she poked his cheek. Immediately Raylaigh shook his head, “No, no! Of course it’s not too late! You should totally try it out, I mean I can help you practice and stuff.” He grinned at her blushing and shook her hands again grinning like a puppy who just knew someone had a treat hidden in their pockets. “Yay!!” He cried making a jumping motion in the air. “Oh Cici, this’ll be so much fun!” He was committed to this now and he couldn’t wait to have Cici as a new dancing partner. “We can tango in the air,” he said moving her hands as he started moving to the beat. He pulled her close and put a hand on her waist and swept her through the air. He smiled completely comfortable with the close distance. He lifted his hand and spun her. It was a strange action to the fast paced music, but Ray couldn’t be bothered to care, he was too happy.
