General Appearance: Wilhelm is on the shorter side being only 1.70 meters tall (5'7). He has grown his hair out long enough to reach the back of his neck, he usually keeps it smoothed back so it doesn't obscure his vision. While he tries to keep his body in shape, he has been finding that harder to do as he aged, gaining weight and having some body fat on his abdomen. He grew out his beard during his youth, thinking it would make him look more rugged, his wife said she liked it and he has kept it ever since. He wears a pair of reading glasses. He tends to dress casually, wearing collared t-shirts and jeans, though he does wear a loose suit to formal occasions.
Personality: Wilhelm has a history of slight behavior problems in his working career, such as talking about his political beliefs to his students, talking publicly about his general disdain for the school system, and earlier in his career he had some complaints about his flirting nature with female staff, but nothing that would cause suspensions, but enough that some in administrative positions at his old schools do not like him. That being said most of his students have said that they loved learning from him, even those who resented him during his classes come back years later sometimes telling him that they learned a lot from him and his class.
Wilhelm generally keeps to himself during his off hours, or he spends that time with his young son and wife, sometimes going with them to restaurants, or watching movies with them. But, other than those instances Wilhelm generally likes to read in his living room while having music playing in the background, most often soft music as his ears having hurting as he gets older. While these staments make Wilhelm seem to be a very private man, he can be a very friendly and extremely talkative person when spoken to. Sometimes overt talkative as he can go on for long periods of time talking about his beliefs, and family.
Wilhelm has spoken many times in the past about his disdain for the American school system, mainly because earlier before he came to Hammel he had been forced to work as an English teacher as well as having his different leveled German classes crammed in to one period.
Wilhelm was once a very flirty man before he married often having one night stands. He has stopped this though since his marriage, not wanting to ruin it. But, there are occasions that he wishes he could go back to his past, having experiences with a different woman each night, but he has given up on that as he has become to aged and withered for any of that.

History
Wilhelm was born in the city of Ulm, Germany, 1958. He grew up having a relatively normal life, making friends, playing sports until he turned 14 when he began to notice something strange around him. He started seeing people dressed up as soldiers, the wealthy, gods, etc. He tried to talk to his parents and his friends about what he was seeing, but they all just thought he was joking with them, at least for the first day, then they began to think he was going mad. His parents felt the problem was getting so bad they thought about sending him to therapy, but then a man came to their house about a week after he had begun seeing these things, telling his parents that their son was not mad, but that he had an ability that allowed him to view what people were in other dimensions and that their son had to come with him to a facility called Kocher. Wilhelm's parents were apprehensive about sending their son away, but the man had informed them that they had no choice in the matter anyway, and so Wilhelm ended up going to Kocher.
Wilhelm's years at Kocher were an early indication of his future job, as he became extremly interested in how languages worked, taking English in his first year there. There was also an indication of his early flirtatious nature, during his third year at the school had his first experience of sex with a slightly older student during one of the breaks away from school. The rest of his schooling days were not filled with interesting events, mostly studying and getting a degree.
When Wilhelm turned 27 after he had gotten a job in Boston, he met the woman who would eventually become his wife, Ilsa. The first time he met her he didn't really have much of an opinion of her, besides the normal flirting that he liked to do. But, this woman was different than the normal when he had picked up before, she just ignored him. This was not something that Wilhelm was used to, so he continued to pursue her, eventually she said yes to a date which did not end as Wilhelm wanted, rolling in a bed with the her. Instead they just went home to their separate apartments, which interestingly enough were in the same building, they continued to have infrequent dates, with Wilhelm still trying to get her to invite him in, and Ilsa continuing to say no. This pattern went on for two years, with Wilhelm actually starting to fall in love with Ilsa, until one day Wilhelm learned that his parents and brother had been in a crash on the way to come see him for a surprise birthday. When Wilhelm got to the hospital where they had taken his family he found out that both his mother and Father had died in the crash, and learned that his brother had been the one to cause the crash by distracting their father from the road. Wilhelm left the hospital in a daze after receiving this information, and never spoke to his brother again, blaming him for the death of their parents. When Wilhelm got back to his apartment he was greeted by Ilsa, who saw that he was acting strangely and inquired what was wrong. After telling Ilsa what happened, she immediately gave Will a hug and told him that she was sorry, asking if there was anything he needed. Will told her that he just needed someone near him for the time. Ilsa helped him for the rest of the day, eventually Will told her his feelings for her, Ilsa surprised told him that she had felt the same thing for a long time. This turn of events led them to eventually get married, and have twins later that year.
After spending another 20 years in Boston, with Wilhelm getting frustrated at his job, and Ilsa having another son, the two of them decided it was time to move away from the city. Wilhelm went searching for a job that payed well, eventually finding out that the American meta school Hammel had a deficiency in foreign language teachers. Wilhelm applied for the job in the fall of 2006, and was accepted in the summer of 2007. After telling his wife and 10 year old son, Karl, that they were going to move to the town of Pilot's Ridge.
The last 7 years since arriving at Pilot's Ridge have been quite for Wilhelm and his family with the only exception being that Karl was discovered to be a meta human like his father at the age of 14 and has spent the last 3 years at Hammel.
