General Appearance: Hugh usually is dressed somewhat formally. He occasionally wears glasses. He is around 5' 4". Hugh is fairly pale skinned because of preferring indoor activities. He is thin and lanky.
Personality: Hugh is extremely shy and takes a while to trust people. Many people say that Hugh is very smart for his age. If you do get to know Hugh he can be really sassy and not just by his words. He has a wide variety of unique facial expressions. Hugh tends to be socially awkward and he usually isn't the best with first impressions. He is a clumsy person and hates it. Hugh has had periods of depression but has somewhat gotten over it.

History

Hugh was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota and lived there his entire life. His parents love him and each other a lot. He has many very fond memories from when he was little. Like how he'd always wake his Dad up every weekend a beg him to make his delicious pancakes or that one baseball game when Hugh was a catcher for four out of six innings and it was over a hundred degrees outside and yet his Dad still watched the entire game. His Dad did of course have a small cooler full of water bottles with him. Hugh hates the winter in Minnesota with a strong passion but has many great winter memories too. He loved to sled with his Dad down big hills that were slightly dangerous. Hugh did break his leg when he was at his Uncle/Godfather's house on a snowmobile and was in a cast for six months. If you can't tell Hugh had a amazing relationship with his Dad until he died from a brain tumor. He still has memories of his Dad in the hospital towards the end of his life. Hugh was ten when his Dad died. After his Dad's death Hugh had a few periods of depression but eventually sort of got over it. Hugh does still have days that are difficult though. At age thirteen Hugh has recently discovered his powers with rodents when he was playing around with Jawn and he accidentally shifted into another hedgehog. His Mom walked in his room when this happened and she freaked out. She brought him to a hospital where Hammel Institute was informed and he was shipped off to Hammel Institute a few days later.

Roleplay Example

A ten year old Hugh stands on his tip toes to get a better look at the tiny baby hedgehogs. Hugh had begged his Mom after Dad died to get a pet. His Mom couldn't say no to the request so now Hugh's mother is looking at more practical things that they will need for a new pet like a cage. Hugh had insisted that he wanted some sort of rodent. His Mom wasn't the happiest about a rodent but still said yes. "Mom look at the baby hedgehogs!" Hugh exclaimed and pointed at the hoglets.

"I thought you wanted a hamster?" Hugh's Mom asked.

"But everyone on the internet say that hedgehogs look like Martin Freeman from BBC's Sherlock!" Hugh said.

Now Hugh's Mom doesn't watch Sherlock or any of the shows that Hugh watches but she did know what Martin Freeman looks like. "I guess they kind of do..." His Mom said as she looked at the hedgehogs. "You want on of them?" Hugh's Mom asked him.

"Yeah! I want to name him Jawn!" Hugh said. He was practically bouncing off the walls with excitement.

"You mean John?" His Mom asked.

"No Jawn J-A-W-N. Thats how people spell it on the internet." Hugh said. He was annoyed that his Mom didn't know this. How could she not know that? Everyone knows it!

Hugh's Mom rolled her eyes. "Whatever, which one do you want?"

"That one!" Hugh said and pointed at the smallest hoglet who was soon to be Jawn. His Mom nodded and walked over to a pet shop worker to ask for help for getting Jawn out of the cage.

Welcome to Hammel, Maggie! we love to have new players join us. Hugh looks nice, and he only requires a couple of edits before he can be accepted for play.

First, as a side note, if you intend him to have the hedgehog at Hammel, it will need to be in one of the smaller cages as per dorm rules.

For the substantive changes: Please go into detail about how his powers manifested and how they were discovered. Keep in mind that it would take no more than two weeks to be discovered after immediate manifestation, possibly far less depending on the situation.

Bump! I edited the history! Also Hugh is bringing his Jawn and Jawn will be in a smaller cage. Yes I want to play out Hugh's introduction to Hammel IC. Finally I changed his age to 13 so he'd be able to go off campus without an adult.
