Pretty and Plotting (Eloise)

There were many days where Adaryn would just come over to the twins home to see Monroe, but lately it hasn't been specifically for Eloise. They were still friends, yes, but the fact was that she wasn't spending as much time as she should have with the blonde.


So as Adaryn texted the household, it was for Eloise rather than Monroe, asking her if it was okay that she stop by the house to meet with Eloise before they went to dinner, and so she did, dressed in one of the outfit Eloise had fitted to her liking, but an added Cardigan and tights were worn with a coat because of the freezing temperatures.

She was still wearing her vans.

A knock on the door indicated her arrival at the twin's humble abode, and she knocked just as she usually did. 3 times. The first two shorter than the last.

Eloise didn't mind the fact that Monroe and Addie were dating. Not in the slightest. They brought out the best in each other, and they clearly bettered each other's lives. The blonde did wish she got to spend more time with Addie though. She and Monroe lived together, so they constantly saw one another without Adaryn there. The opposite was rarely true though. Usually if Eloise was able to spend time with the girl, Monroe was part of the package. And frankly, it was hard to talk about certain things in the presence of your... brother.

So the girls decided that they needed a day just to them - a day where they could talk about whatever they wanted without worrying that Monroe was in the room. Eloise was curious as to how things were going from Addie's perspective, as well. She rarely got anything more than a 'things are good' out of Monroe. She was curious about their relationship, though. But also how the guy was doing at school, and why he seemed so uptight lately. Perhaps his girlfriend would be able to shed some light on in.

When the door knocked three times, Eloise shot up from the couch before Monroe would get the chance to steal the brunette away. Eloise was dressed casually and cute (at least by her standards). She was happy to see when she opened the door that Adaryn appeared to be wearing one of the dresses Eloise had fixed up for her recently. "Hey Addie," El said, stepping aside to let her friend in for a few moments before heading to lunch. "You look cute," she said with a small smirk, knowing that she had a lot to do with that.

Self image was no longer becoming too much of an issue, or at least a big enough issue that she would reject the compliments. Self worth, however, was entirely different, but Adaryn wasn't planning on making a comment on that - she was just there to have a good time, and frankly, fishing for compliments and condolences was nonexistent on the things that she wanted to do today.

Adaryn missed the blonde, truth be told, especially considering it was nice and all to have some time with Monroe every once and a while but Adaryn really couldn't talk to Monroe in the way that she could talk to AJ or Eloise. It wasn't like she was fearful of what Monroe would say or do, it's just there were things that you couldn't speak about with 1: guys, or 2: your boyfriend. It was as simple as that.

When Eloise opened the door, she caught herself looking up slightly at the blonde, since she apparently was the shortest one in any of their lives. Monroe was 5'11", Eloise stood slightly smaller at 5'10", and here Addie was at a ridiculous 5'3". "Thanks," Adaryn offered a slight smile - a simple quirk of her lips that indicated a genuine acceptance of her friend's compliment. But Addie was still Addie, as Eloise knew.

Stepping inside, she looked for Monroe on instinct. She expected him to be sitting on the couch with a cup of coffee, looking through the channels as he always had done. Maybe she was correct, or maybe she wasn't, but the Empath knew that she was here for Eloise instead, so before she could spot him, Addie looked back over.

"I could say the same for you," the brunette offered then, the words surprisingly steady considering the words behind them.

The little bit of time Eloise had gotten to spend with Adaryn proved slightly awkward at first. The girls were used to talking about boy problems, but it proved to be a bit strange when the boy in question turned out to be your brother. She'd gotten more used to it over time.... the little time there was to deal with it.

And Eloise didn't have a whole ton of boys in her sight. She basically stuck to the hotties in the magazines and movies to pine over. It helped that you couldn't read the mind of a picture. Eloise was known for blowing off a guy because their first thought involving her is inappropriate or rude. Well... nobody but her actually knew that, but it happened enough to Eloise to be very aware of it. The only two guys who didn't turn her off immediately after meeting them was Monroe and Kuni. And one of those was her brother and the other.... well he was Kuni.

"Thanks," Eloise said with a smile when her friend returned the compliment. She had gotten a lot better about being greatful when people noted her appearance instead of saying 'I know'. Of course, she did know - even in her simple-for-her ensemble of straight leg jeans, purple tshirt, and white denim jacket. She sat on the couch, grabbing her boots from where she had left them. She purposely picked flat shoes, as she tended to tower over Addie to begin with.

"Let's get out of here before Monroe tries to steal you from me," Eloise suggested as she slipped her second boot on, keeping her voice lower than she might usually. Even though it wouldn't be Monroe nor Addie's intention, but Eloise believed if Monroe showed his face he may just manage to steal the girl away. "He can have you later," she teased, grabbing her purse from the coffee table.

Adaryn had never been very active in terms of her relationship with Eloise, but there was a comfort the blonde provided whenever they were around eachother. Such polar opposites, Adaryn would assume that there would never be a way that the two could come together in such a way - society had usually separated the wallflower and the popular beauty in what was considered normal. But they opposed that common notion.

Even when it was thought that Eloise was supposed to fall in love with the guy she cared about so much.

Monroe wasn't even in the room, from what she could see. Maybe that was a good thing, however, because she might have gotten distracted, maybe even started conversation with him. But of course, it was only Eloise's day. Well, Eloise and Adaryn's day. One that Addie had actually been looking forward to for a long time.

"Um, Yeah, okay." Adaryn said, a laugh slipping past her lips nervously. While she was well aware of her relationship with Monroe, the concept of him 'stealing' her away, and also those words coming from Eloise, made the introvert's cheeks redden. Either way, Adaryn was content with the plan to leave with Eloise as soon as possible. "So where're we going first?"
