Calling all members! We need your nominations for the Of The Month awards! Have you seen an awesome character lurking the forums? How about a thread you just can’t stop reading? Or a journal you keep coming back to? Nominate it here! We’re looking for nominations for all categories:

Character of the Month – Straightforward. Nominate the character you think deserves it for this month. Who was awesome? Who did something significant? As of now, Eddie's, Rae's, Abi's, Jon's, Etch's, Pam's, Faraday's, and Lux's characters are all off limits, as they’ve won in the past eight months.

Member of the Month – Again, pretty easy, right? Toss up the name of your favorite member. Remember, Elsinore, Rae, Apple, Lux, Maggie, Ophelia, Pam, and Lurker are off-limits for nominations. So is everyone on staff.

Relationship of the Month – Anything goes here! Friends, romance, enemies, anything! You cannot nominate:

Thread of the Month – Any and all threads that were started after the last round of OTMs are eligible!

Journal of the Month – We will not be nominating for Journal OTM this month. All eligible journals will be included in the poll in four days. Eligible journals were posted in during the past month and have not won in the past eight months.

Event Thread of the Month – All Time Warp threads that were started after the last round of OTMs are eligible (which is to say all Time Warp threads from February or the very end of January since this is a short month.)

All we ask is that you fill out this nifty little code thing for us. Only one nomination per category, per person, ‘kay?

Nomination: Izy
Reasons: Until she wins. Izy is awesome and everyone should love her. Her characters are brilliant and always written with so much depth to them. She considers so many parts of their lives and history in their responses, and executes their internal struggles with love, life, pretty much anything they go through with such clarity, it's impossible to not empathize with them when you read about it. Lani is such a complicated person who likes to completely analyze a situation before acting on it. Raylaigh is the complete opposite, acting impulsively and often recklessly. Joe I''ve unfortunately not had the pleasure of having a full thread with, but I have no doubt that he is exceptionally written as well.

Nomination: Jen Mitchellson
Reasons: It's no secret that I love Jen. I think I've even nommed her before. She's very much a free spirit, but doesn't quite know where she's going in life and that scares her deep down, and hence makes her act even more without considering the consequences. This gets her involved with not the best kind of men, unfortunately, and while she recognizes this, apparently her libido doesn't let her do much about it. She does care deeply for those close to her, specifically her brother Caelum, and though she teases relentlessly, I'm sure she'd have his back if he were ever in a pinch. I'd love to see her grow as a person and discover more of what it is she wants in life.

Nomination: Jen Mitchellson and Xun Jinsong - Barely Even Friends
Reasons: This is one ship that I greatly look forward to following, and is one I think would benefit the both of them. Xun needs to come out of his shell more often, and Jen will very well force him to do that. Jen needs someone to reel her in, and Xun is definitely the person to do that. They balance each other out well, even though they've only met twice. The first time happened to be at an underage club, where Xun was already feeling pressured to behave so unlike himself(it was adorable!). The second time at the tattoo parlor, and Jen decides to invite herself along for some boba tea, claiming that he 'asked' her. Anyway, they're cute. <3

Reasons: All around fun to plot with, has a lot of vibrant characters that all have threads you definitely want to read!

Reasons: This Greek hotshot who knows how to cook is played by Emily and I've really enjoyed seeing him around the boards so far. He's a big contrast to the other characters she plays. Just read his thread with Idalia and you'll know why I love him so much.

Nomination: Kunikpok Arrluk & Eloise Eaton -- Whale they ever get together?
Reasons: See what I did there? Tehe. I'm so happy with the reemergence of these two on the boards, (mostly due to Apollo coming back), because they were always so fun to read. Kuni brings something different out of Eloise and vice versa. I'm really looking forward to seeing where this goes!

Reasons: This thread is so hilarious. The two of them are so different and it's great to see them interact as Sydney tries to help Rodrigo study. It's the studious vs. the apathetic student. It's a great read!

Nomination: Samantha Emerson
Reasons: Samantha has a difficult time in this life. She perceives herself as having been ignored by her parents in favor of her younger sister, and the only time she was able to thrive was after Sydney manifested. She then lost that time for herself when she manifested later, now stuck at Hammel once again in Sydney's shadow. Rhythm writes her so well, and I hope she is able to find a niche of her own soon.

Reasons: Willis is a lot of fun. They make good characters, their posting style is engaging, and they get very involved in plotting and throwing their characters about. Everyone should plot with Willis.

Nomination: Rodrigo Santos and Sydney Emerson - Stage One of a Romantic Comedy
Reasons: From an IC perspective, this can only end poorly, and Sean advises Sydney to stay far away from Rodrigo. From an OOC perspective, I doubt that will happen, and so I can only settle in to watch the inevitable emotional roller coaster.

Reasons: This thread went up after last month's nominations ended, while the polls were up, in that twilight time when many threads go unnoticed. Felix is fun. Josie is hilarious to read because she has such low tolerance for nonsense. Reading them interact is a joy, and I encourage everyone to follow along with this thread.

Reasons: For anyone who has been on Hammel for a long time, they have seen the rise and fall and rise and fall and continued fall and humbling of Jesse Adams, from his bad life decisions to his utter contempt for other people to his having to return to Hammel with his tail between his legs. Seeing him interact with a character who is his polar opposite in terms of personality and intentions, but who suffers similar internal problems brings a lot of depth to both Koty and Jesse's arcs.

Reasons: Pollo has returned to us! And brought with her her wonderful herd of characters, who can be found all over the board in all kinds of situations, and her enjoyable cbox chatter as well.

Reasons: Multiple people have described Nory as a firecracker, which is pretty accurate, I have to say. She's got a lot going for her - spirit, loyalty, adventurousness (that's a word right?) - but the flaws Elsinore has chosen to temper her with - a knack for lying and scheming, for one - just make her all that more interesting. Go check out the "let it flow" on her app, you'll see what I mean.
