General Appearance:
Arivene is all of 5"6 and of a slim build almost athletic. She normally has her shoulder length brown hair free flowing although she is prone to tying it back out of her eyes when she is concentrating. Her piercing, icy blue eyes seem to make anyone feel as though she's looking at their soul even though that isn't something she's capable of. When teaching she always makes sure she looks her best, never a hair out of place or a button. Out of school hours though Arivene can mostly be found in her jeans.
Personality: Arivene can be described as a cold and distant woman to those that don't know her past but that's just the defence mechanism she uses to protect herself due to the pain she suffered at Luke's hands. Around new people she will only tell them what they need to know. Once she's gotten to know those around her, she's a warm and caring individual, she tries not to let the past encroach on the present, giving others the benefit of the doubt. Always determined to be the best that she can and that those around her reach their full potential, especially her students. Arivene will devote her spare time when not teaching to writing study plans tailored to her students needs, adapting her teaching style to encourage her students to engage more. She doesn't have a cruel or malicious bone in her body, unable to hurt someone even if her own life was on the line.Your VicesLikes:

Luke Cavorn (Her ex-fiance)HistoryArivene had a relatively normal and happy childhood, being an only child meant that she always had her parents undivided love and attention, that being said though they never spoiled her. They had a modest house, on a quiet street, in Pilot Ridge. They passed on to her their drive and determination, she went through school unnoticed, being the quiet one in the corner with her head always in a book. It was when she went through puberty that things started to get a bit hectic. Her power started becoming more apparent after she had turned fourteen, inadvertently she would do what she called 'tapping into other minds.' It was lucky that her parents had recognized her gift, seeing as both of them were telepaths.
Through her teens she struggled to control this power, sometimes blurting out the things she had learned causing others to mistrust her and bully her. Arivene would go home crying, her mother had been her greatest support through these years, teaching her how to control her power, when to use it and when not to use it. Her parents recognized the signs, her powers were manifesting, They had no other option but to take her to Hammel. that and seeing as they both had attended the school to learn to control their powers, knowing it was a school where she would be accepted due to them having studied there, her mother training there at one point. Once she had transferred the bullying stopped, she was no longer alone, she was surrounded by others like her, that as her mother described were special.
Her mothers training pushed her to be the best she could, academically she was a genius, it must of been that, that had drawn Luke to her. Arivene had known Luke almost all her life, they were inseparable even though he was a couple of years older than her. Where ever she was, he was never far behind her. He was her only friend at school, even her parents would say that he was perfect for her. As they got older it seemed only natural for them to go from being friends to being in a relationship. If only Arivene had known where that would end up.
On the day of her 18th birthday Luke asked her to marry her. She said yes and that was when the trouble seemed to start again. They soon moved in together, planning their wedding. To the outside world everything was going right for her. She was engaged to a wonderful man, they had a lovely home and she had just started training to become a teacher but what they didn't see was the maliciousness and the lies. Luke had been careful to hide his indiscretions or so he had thought. Arivene had noticed that something was going on, he had come home smelling of perfume, she permanently felt like she was walking on egg shells around him when he was home, not that it was very often.
A few years down the line that could neither be described as happy or bad, it was on one of those nights that she was on her own that she decided to find out the truth. So she followed him to a club, staying the shadows. Arivene watched as another woman walked over to him and kiss him. In that moment she felt like her heart had been ripped out in front of her and she lost control. Using her powers she read their minds, immediately wishing she hadn't when she learned what they were going to do. So with that she walked over to them, taking off her ring and placing it on the table between them. Glaring at them both, Arivene didn't even have to say a thing as she walked out of the club and returned home. She packed up her things and left, handed in her noticed to the school she had been working at and got in her car. She drove all night, holding back her tears determined to put as much distance between her and them. She ended up in the middle of no-where, breathing deeply she let it all go, a wash of emotion spilled over her as the tears flowed.
It wasn't until a few hours had passed that Arivene had calmed down, resuming her driving. She headed towards Hammel, knowing it was the one of the few places she would be able to carry on. It had been a few years since she had attended the school, maybe some of the teachers would recognize her though she doubted it. For her Hammel was to be her fresh start.Roleplay ExampleAs per usual Arivene had found herself in yet another dark and dingy place, except this time she couldn't remember how she got there. She tutted to herself as slowly stood up from the mud she had found herself in. Raising her hand to her neck, gently pressing under her ear, she didn't understand why or how she had hurt herself there but what ever had happened had left her with a dull ache that just wouldn't seem to shift. Arivene peered left and then right, she was alone and the sun was setting. 'What the hell have I been up to?' She asked herself as she slowly spun round to take in her surroundings. The last thing she could remember was stumbling out of a bar or a club, taking a mental note that it was just her neck hurting she came to the assumption she hadn't got into a fight and she definitely hadn't been thrown to the curb. Which meant she had come here by choice even if she couldn't remember why she was there or even how she got there. The moon was at it's fullest giving everything around an eery glow.
An owl hooted and Arivene almost jumped out of her skin. She clung on tight to her coat, doing her best not to trip over it. Moving her hand from her neck she rubbed the back of the head, still confused as to where she was. Pushing her long black hair from her face she looked around again and slowly she walked forward. Trying to get her bearings but as bright as the moon was she still couldn't recognize a single thing around her. From behind her there came a faint banging noise, Arivene frowned as she turned round to face the direction the noise had come from. In front of her was just a black hole, or what appeared to be a black hole, the banging continued even if it was so quite she could just hear it. She walked over and peered inside, her eyes taking their time to adjust to the darkness. Arivene took a step forward and then the smell hit her and she realized where she had landed her self. At the entrance to the sewers. She almost heaved as the stench hit her, taking a deep breath she thought to herself 'That is horrendous, it's like something has died down here, I didn't think sewers could smell this bad. It's worse than I imagined'
Taking a step back, Arivene couldn't bring herself to go any further the smell for one was bad enough but if that kind of stench was coming from there then god knows what was down there. It was almost tempting to dig around in her pockets to find tissue to put up her nose as childish as it was, so she thrust her hands into her pockets to see what she had as she had already noticed her bag was gone. As she dug around she found a couple of coins, a lighter, the usual pocket lint. Her fingers found her phone and she pulled it out to see it's low battery warning. 'Just great, just what I need. Can't even use it as a damn torch.' She thought, Arivene thrust her phone back in her pocket and began pacing up and down, she rummaged through her pockets one last time in case she could find anything else that would help her figure out the mess she had landed herself in. Arivene pulled out her lighter and rolled her thumb over the wheel, sparking it up. She curved her other hand around the flame to protect it from the wind and peered over at the sewer then looked at the sky. It was going to rain again, the clouds starting to block out the moons light. It was going to get even darker and colder soon. Arivene looked back at the sewer wondering if she'd be better off in there than outside.
With nothing left to lose Arivene decided she might aswell investigate the noise it might smell bad in there but atleast she would be sheltered from the rain that was going to fall any minute. So with that she walked towards the darkness, letting it wrap around her, drawing her in with nothing more than her lighter to guide her way forward. What About You?Name: Charli
