General Appearance:
Scar likes to keep herself maintained. Her makeup is always done before she goes out, her hair is always styled, and she is dressed to perfection. Scarlett takes great pride in what she looks like and enjoys showing off what she feels is her natural beauty. That being said, she still likes to experiment with her hair in various styles, cuts, and colors. She is always clean, kept, and well manicured. She eats very healthy and clean, but is very insecure about her lack of curves everyone on her body.
Her style is more on the dressy side, seeing as she likes to present herself as slightly aloof. Scar wears light clothing most of the time, or clothing that may not cover much seeing as her body temperature is high due to her powers. Scarlett will still wear bright or bold clothing as long as the colors don't clash and it's not 'tacky' or 'cheesy' in her eyes. She'll even go out of her way to wear heels, wedges, platforms or any other tall shoe to get some height to attempt to tower over people.
Scarlet isn't a huge jewelry person, she just wears one bracelet that she's had since she was five years old from her siblings. She is also very short in stature.
Personality:
Despite being very well-kept, Scar's attitude is anything but. As a side-effect of her powers and her personality, she has an extremely short fuse and will unapologetically lash out at anyone who upsets her. This attack can come in both physical and verbal forms. In her own defense, she always claims that she follows a strict moral 'code' where only those who she thinks deserve it will face her wrath. This being said, she still find herself snapping at people out of impatience and frustration, but to a much lesser extent than possible.
Scarlett is a very loyal friend and shows her love by defending those she cares about against people harming or bothering them. She tries not to deal with emotions very much, although she absolutely feels nearly every emotion on the spectrum, she likes to keep it to herself out of fear of vulnerability. Scarlett isn't one to tear someone down (unless they deserved it), but she also won't build someone up either. She doesn't like giving false compliments and she doesn't like lying in general. She'll be very very honest, even if it comes off a little too blunt or rude.
Scar has a soft spot for people she deems 'helpless,' she tends to be kinder and more gentle around those types of people. For the most part, she'll stand back and be quiet unless interacted with or unless she sees a situation she thinks is unjust. Because of her discomfort with emotions, Scarlett tends to keep to herself and doesn't seek out friends or companionship; however, she can often feel lonely and secretly enjoys being around certain people.Your VicesLikes: Kickboxing, Running, Getting all dressed up, Makeup, Furry animals, Cleaning/Clean environments

Any Other Important People: Her gerbil, RexHistoryScarlett lived a happy life, her parents never fought, she had two doting siblings, and the family was very well off due to her father's business. She grew up in a beautiful home in Southern California, right along the beach. She often would hide out in her room, however, because she was always overly sensitive to the sun and heat. Although the home was always peaceful, there was a sense of tension all around the house while growing up. Her dad's work often came home in the form of meetings, social events, and other fancy parties. This caused the West's to put up very poised and calm facade, something that Scar never felt comfortable with. Her mother was insistent that people placed an emotional check on themselves, Edna West would not allow her family to make a fool of themselves. She attempted to resist her mother's strict nature, but eventually it just became something that became a natural part of her.
This also sparked Scarlett's interest in fashion and clothing however. All the social events required brand new dresses, shoes, and other attire, something that a young Scar looked at like candy. She loved being able to go to middle school and have people tell her she was dressed like royalty. At first her self-pampering became a way to attract more compliments, but it slowly evolved into her just enjoying the confidence she gained from looking nice and aloof. Scarlett realized that just because her nails were manicured, it didn't mean she couldn't pack a punch.
At age 8, the twins decided to play a prank on the unsuspecting Scarlett and it led to her being accidentally locked inside a small, dark closet for nearly 2 hours while the twins (who forgot to come get her out) went back downstairs to play Xbox. She was found crying and curled up in a ball by her father when he got home. Scar doesn't let her brother and sister live it down that they caused two of her biggest fears.
She was never the easiest child to parent, she would scream when she didn't get her way, and she often was picked up from the daycare early for throwing toys at the other kids. But, her real rebellious phase started when her mom started making her attend the "mother's club" Monday dinners with all the other 'gossip hags' as Scarlett refers to them. She felt like she was just a trophy that her mother was showing off, and this angered her. Eventually, when she finally confronted her mom, her mother snapped at her and stated that, "We have to always show our best to people. You'll never know when there's a person that will sense your weakness... and then take everything you have." For some reason, this deeply startled Scarlett and it's a philosophy that she's followed until this day.
Regardless of how her mother's logic made sense to her, it still frustrated her that she wasn't being seen as an individual. In an effort to make a name for herself, she started sneaking out at age 12 and ran around the neighborhood looking for trouble. When she turned 13, her parents were greeted with a knock at the door and a very pissed off Scarlett with a bloody nose. She had been fighting with another 13 year old. Scar stated that the boy was picking on one of her school friends and no one had stopped it, so she decided that she would. Her mother was completely devastated, but her father was slightly proud, seeing as she came back with few scars or bruises. This was when her father decided to allow his youngest daughter to begin private kickboxing lessons. He figured that if she was going to defend people's honor, she might as well do it in a constructed way.
Edna did not approve and constantly let Scarlett know that.
At age 14, her cousin Victoria came to live with the family. Her aunt and uncle passed away in a car accident and left little 10 year old Vicky behind. Scarlett became her natural protector and she pitied the poor girl who still cried at night and wore graphic tees. She quietly took her under her wing and would give her clothes to the younger girl and constantly helped her with makeup and hair. She was always very sweet and very gentle to Vicky and would threaten anyone who so much as looked at her wrong.
Right before she turned 15, however, her life took a turn. Scarlett was rushed home from school by her principal one day after having what they assumed as an extremely high fever. However, while she waited in the nurse's office, the principal had caught sight of slight sparks emitting from her finger tips. This was how the West's received the news that their daughter was special. Edna fainted, Paul rubbed his daughter's head, and Darren asked if she could set a bag of popcorn on fire and have immediate popcorn. Not even a week later, she was recruited and went to Hammel.
Scarlett wasn't fond of Hammel at first, it was all new and the whole having powers thing definitely was a pain in the butt. She would set her new things on fire, she was terrified to touch anyone or anything, and she hated winter more than anything in the world. Thankfully, she managed to get a decent control on her powers before she ever severely injured anyone. Not that she hadn't thought about it before.Roleplay ExampleFrom another site:
"Celine saw the boy shift uncomfortably and she felt an inkling of guilt. "Sorry," she shrugged, still smiling sweetly, "got excited. Most people aren't this keen on spending their free time doing puzzles." She didn't mean it as an insult, it was honestly interesting. It's not something she was personally fascinated with.. but to each their own right? "Is that what you do back here?" She was hoping to get the boy talking, she wouldn't be satisfied with just one word. This was slowly becoming her new project.
It was a good thing the Gryffindor knew how to talk, because she could most certainly do enough for the both of them. She settled into a nearby seat, doing her best to mind personal boundaries and whatnot. Her large earrings jangled as she adjusted her view. "I love these. My papa used to sit down at the table and test us. When we'd get something right, he'd give us a chocolate." She ran her hands over her skirt and smiled to herself as she remembered the fond memory.
"It's actually quite impressive," the blonde girl complemented, "very Ravenclaw of you!" She, of course, meant it in the best way possible. She figured the best way to get a person to warm up to you was to offer some complements and to show that you weren't a threat. Or perhaps she was mixing people up with hippogriffs... Well, it was practically the same.
"Oh! I'm Celine, by the way, nice to meet you!" She stuck out her hand for a quick shake. "Can I join you? I'm a little bored, figured I'd see what you were up to, I see you over here quite often." She didn't want him to think she'd be watching him extensively, she hadn't, she did have some form of life.. but he was noticed and she hated to see someone sit alone for so long."What About You?Name: Lo
