Rod leaned back on his chair, throwing his head back as his fingers made a random rhythm on the table in front of him. He was getting impatient. He'd been waiting for Syd for what felt hours, which was of course just a few minutes, but Rod wasn't he most patient guy around.
"Come oooon." He whispered under his breath, his eyes fixed on the entrance, hoping to see Syd come in. He hadn't seen her all day. Not in class, since none of their classes matched today, not after class because he had detention and training and she had... whatever it was miss perfect did on the afternoons, and not even between classes because by the time he went to find her, she was already in her new class. How the hell did she do that? Was she avoiding him? The thought left an uneasy feeling inside his stomach. Had he done something wrong again? He figured since they'd started dating she would get more patient with him, or at least, be more forgiving of his little... quirks. But now maybe he'd done something he didn't know he had and she was mad and avoiding him and-
"GAH!" He scratched his hair suddenly, messing up his own hair, trying to stop overthinking. If she was mad she would say so, right? He grumbled under his breath, leaning on the table and resting his chin against the cold surface, still facing the entrance. Yeah, Syd was vocal about what bugged her, so maybe she would want to talk things out instead of avoiding him. But he'd already gone and ENTIRE morning without a kiss! AN ENTIRE MORNING! That was punishment enough, right?
He saw a girl coming into the room, and he suddenly sat up, smiling widely as her shape seemed familiar. "Syd!" He called at her, raising an arm and waving at her, but as light fell on the shape he realised it wasn't Syd, just some random blonde girl. He dropped his hand back on the table in disappointment, leaning back down as he was before. "Never mind..."
