Dessert did not disappoint, and the pair left the restaurant with full stomachs and lighter wallets than when they had begun. Josh was content as they made their way back to the hotel hand in hand.
Sean had chosen a perfect location for dinner, and he had chosen perfect presents, and Josh knew that whatever they chose to do now would be the perfect end to the perfect birthday.
And because so much progress had been made since they were young men he felt comfortable leaning over to press a kiss to the other man's cheek, even though they were still in public.
"Thank you for tonight. I love you."
