"Hey!" He jumped when she punched his arm and he quickly soothed it with his other hand glaring at her. "What the fuck was that for?!" She explained though. He gulped when she mentioned something easy to kick and he rose his hands in defeat, "Easy, doll. I believe ya." He chuckled then. Well, this chick was feisty! It made him wonder what would've happened if he'd met her before meeting Sydney. Maybe he would've been hitting on her. Yeah, probably. But then... then she didn't seem as smart and caring as Sydney. Nor did she smell as good. Did she? He couldn't step closer to find out.
Rod shook his head. "But why would she say it if she weren't thinking it, right?" He groaned, again messing up his hair with his free hand. "I can't understand her half the time! Much less know if-" He flushed as he realised what he was going to say and turned away from Kam. "Never mind..." he muttered. Ah, but the conversation wasn't finished. He smirked slightly as she spoke of finding a thrill in fighting. "Yeah!" He said, almost proudly, "Like Syd gets all flushed up and does this little thing with her lips when she's mad. And her nose gets all wrinkled up and-" He stopped, his blush deepening. Wow, was he really so lost in his feelings for Syd that he was talking about her with so much detail? What was wrong with him? Kam spoke of dates and he sighed. "I ain't have enough money for that stuff." He said and looked down at the comic book in his hand, "I figured a present would make up for it..." A comic book was far cheaper than a night out and dinner at a restaurant after all. Wait, what? Rod stared at Kam. "Ah, no no. She- eh... Syd's cool." He said, although he knew she sort of wasn't. "She ain't like stuck up or anything." Yes, she was. He'd already figured his girlfriend had quite the ego. "And she- eh... she's into sports too." Yes, but never had fun with them. "And uh... uuuuh..." He ran a hand through his hair. It was hard to explain why he liked Sydney so much, he just knew he did. Wait- mistake. What was she talking about? Sadly, Rod wasn't smart enough to figure it out. "What ya mean?" He wondered dumbly, not thinking her parents might have not wanted her.
Another week. Okay, Rod nodded. Good. He could wait another week. Wait, study? Rod groaned. "That's ALL we do! Study all the fucking time. It's the most boring shit in the world. And Syd- she..." He smirked, "She tutors me and... gives some some nice rewards." He really was like a puppy, but he didn't mind much.
It was fun to make Kam mad though. Rod snorted, "Like you could! GRANDMA!" He teased, smiling widely and enjoying messing with her. "And I ain't no baby face. Old woman!" He smacked her forehead with his manga again, obviously meaning to make her angrier.
Rod blinked at her when she said she wouldn't hit on him. "Uuuuhh..." He made a small noise of confusion, staring at her. "Wouldn't say not interested." He said, running a hand through his hair, "Just- ya know." He had a girlfriend. "But if it weren't fer Syd, I'd be putting the move on you." He winked at her and grinned proudly, though he was pretty sure he had no moves to put on anyone anyway.
